- Internship Description:
- Our 6 month to 1 year paid internship is designed to provide each student with professional work experience and exposure to the various career paths available in the GP Information Technology organization. Interns will have interaction with senior leadership through career focused networking, formal mentoring and job shadow.
- Successful candidates will be placed in the area of Application Support and Productivity
- In each area the focus is on providing a working knowledge of information technology and will include exposure to the corporate environment. Our internship provides the opportunity to participate on cross-functional teams to support process improvement projects, focus on continual learning in the area of information technology, make suggestions for process and systems improvements to help streamline the organization, and lead development of new procedures and the implementation of new ideas.
- Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:
- * Analytical and organizational skills
- * Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- * Interpersonal communication and collaborative teamwork
- * Effective oral and written communication skills
- * Proficiency in Microsoft applications is preferred (SQL, VB.NET, SharePoint)
- * Ability to learn new software applications quickly is mandatory
- * Ability and desire to follow detailed safety precautions
- Basic Qualifications:
- * Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or other technology related degree
- * Sophomore status or higher
- * Minimum 3.0 GPA overall and core coursework
- * Must be able to work at least 20hrs/week Monday - Friday
