Tears and Nuggets

Covet: Cadence pulled up to the apartment building and turned off the engine, they had a couple bags from mcdonalds, stuffed with nuggets and fries for the three of them. She put her keys in her bag and took one of the bags from Hayley as she climbed out of the vehicle and went to head inside to the elevator.
Tsaaq: She walked briskly behind Cadence and reached into the bag for fries and stuffed them into her mouth. She went to take out her phone and hovered her thumb over the call button to the house. She nervously pressed the button for Remy and Cadence's floor.
Covet: She watched as the elevator doors closed and she looked over at Hayley watching her hover over the call button, "You can use the music room if you want some privacy to talk to them." Cadence offered as the doors opened up on their floor and she stepped out.
Tsaaq: "Thanks." Hayley sighed as she stepped off the elevator. "I'll be quick." She went to stand near their door. Hayley finally pressed call and held the phone to her ear. // Remy was face down on the couch, sleeping soundly cause it was a chill saturday.
Covet: Cadence walked into the house and closed the door so Hayley could have some privacy, then walked over to Remy, sitting on the edge of the couch as she reached into the bag and waved a nugget in front of his face, "Hey babe, I'm home."
Tsaaq: Hayley hurriedly ran into the music room and closed the door behind her. // He groggily lifted his head and sat up, rubbing his eyes. "Yum." He whispered as he snatched the nugget and tossed it into his mouth. "How'd it go?"
Covet: Cadence smiled at him and ran her hand through his sleep hair as he sat up and stole the nugget. She let her smile drop as she frowned and turned to hold onto the bag in her lap, "There's bad news...Hayley's here in the music room, calling your parents right now, letting them know what's going on."
Tsaaq: Remy turned to Cadence. His hair a sloppy mess as he went to place his glasses on his face. "What are you talking about?" He whispered before glancing towards the music room. "What happened at the doctor?"
Covet: "The doctor said that because of the trauma she's endured, there's scarring... and because of that..." She said softly before looking at him, her eyes watering a bit, still internally conflicted with sad and mad emotions. "Because of that, the doctor said, she might not be able to have kids of her own."
Tsaaq: Hayley walked out of the music room and went to stand behind them as she looked down. "They must be asleep... I left a voicemail but I'll call again in the morning." // "What?" Remy asked. His eyes were wide and finally felt awake. "That's awful? What are they doctors gonna do?" He asked.
Covet: Cadence looked back at Hayley, then nodded, "Do you want to stay here tonight? You're more than welcome to." She said then looked back at Remy, " She said there's options, They're Hayley's options, but I told her we'd help her with whatever she needed." Cadence said standing by her words.
Tsaaq: She nodded and pulled off her jacket. "Can I sleep on the floor out here?" She asked and went to get her nuggets. "Yeah... That wasn't fun at all." Hayley pouted. // "You can do whatever you need kid." Remy said. "We'll you know Cay and I love you are always here for you, right?"
Covet: "You don't need to sleep on the floor, There's this giant perfectly good couch for you to sleep on. You might have to share it with Titus, but he's a good cuddler." She told her, as she handed over the bag of nuggets to her, then reached for Remy's hand, giving it a squeeze as she glanced at him.
Tsaaq: Hayley began to shovel the nuggets into her mouth as she dropped down beside Remy. "Well, that's fine. I'm used to sharing bed with animals..." She said. "Thanks guys. I sort of just want to lay down and nom on nuggets if that's okay?" // Remy stood up and put his arm around Cadence. "Of course. Just let us known if you need anything." He told her. "We'll make something you like for breakfast so don't try to get up early or anything."
Covet: Cadence leaned over to the arm of the couch and grabbed the TV remote for her, "There's Netflix, satelite, music. Blanket back here, "She said pointing to the back of the couch. "Do you need us for anything, or do you just want some space?"  Cadence asked her.
Tsaaq: She shook her head. "You guys are being awesome enough, thank you. I'll be okay. I just... I need to be alone." Hayley said to Cadence. She was laying on her side and curled into a ball on the couch, letting out a dreary sigh as she ate another nugget. // Remy went to kiss Cadence's temple then looked to Hayley, givinging her a nod. "That's fine. We'll see you in the morning. Sleep tight." He looked to Cay and gave her a comforting squeeze. "Come on Cay."
Covet: Cadence stood up, and followed along with Remy , "Goodnight, Hayley." She told her then walked into the bedroom and kicked her boots off, setting her jaw as started to get herself undressed, "I feel so bad for her... that fucking sonovabitch." She said softly, but angry.
Tsaaq: He went to hug her from behind. "These fucking monsters won't get away with this. I swear to you..." Remy said, turning Cadence to face him before kissing her forehead. "Okay?"
Covet: Cadence nodded, taking a deep breath. "For Hayley's sake, I hope they don't." She told him then gave him a kiss back, before turning to climb into bed.
