  1. 1) There are two answers about the origin of my nickname. The "official" one is that I just clicked on three keys on the left in the middle row of my keyboard. But the actual truth is that it stands for "All Skinheads Dominate". If anybody has read my memorial on q3reloaded, I got into quake after a bad run-in with the police during a pro-Estonian rally, and while recovering from bruised kidneys and malfunctioning digestive system as a result of police beatings in the interrogation room, I was kind of depressed for a week. A friend of mine brought over a copy of quake3 on a pirated cd, and I (previously playing CS 1.5 back then - this was before 1.6). And I was really pissed off with the situation, the way my country was heading, and the systematic rape of national identity for 45 years and the backlash which finally happened in the 90s. I am still a strong proponent in Estonian Nationalism, however my feelings have evolved into thoseof pacifistic anarchy rather than white supremacy. I am tolerant of all races and denizens of the Earth, except for those pro-USSR Russian people.

  3. 2) There isn't really any bad blood between me and x2v. Just because someone happens to be from the same location, doesn't automatically mean they have to give each other statements of intent or stay in the same clans (teams, groups, fanclubs). Can apply to anything. Rehepapp and CNZ (objectively the two best Estonian Quakers) aren't in the same clans/teams and duel vs each other quite a lot. Doesn't mean they are enemies or rivals. Guard from Lithuania is a bit of a retard though. Anyways, me and x2v have played for the glorious Estonian National Team for a long time, he's just inactive. So those rumours are bullscheisse.

  5. 3) There seems to be a bit of a balance in groups, as in each group has a combination of really strong, just strong and okay clans (noghost as a mod and a community are in such a place that there are no longer any week clans left - those who are remaining have persevered through thick and thin, weeding out the amateurs and leaving the dedicated boys and girls to do their thing). Who'll go through? Just a suggestion but I'd put my money on DeuS, FC, SYN, bGr, m0m, GS, 42ne (so many familiar names, it's like predicting for Summer Cup 2009 or something)

  7. 4) All the teams I listed as favourites to qualify are capable of challenging. But we're not really cautious or scared of anyone. You need to always be looking at your own game and elevating instead of looking in the rear view mirror and worrying about teams that may or may not catch up. #flyhigh

  9. 5) A good team dynamic (yes, we add an element of synergy to our games). It's not exactly difficult for an established and experienced iFT team to win a few tournaments. It's a lot more difficult to dominate in more active games with a larger amount of players and competitive events. Look at 102 in QL TDM, or na'vi in DotA 2 or Team Epsilon in CS:GO, that's a form of dominance in a pro-active community. We get like 3-4 iFT tournaments per year. I think I've won every cup I've entered in 1.16, 1.32 and QL (disqualifications notwithstanding) since clanbase clanbase Fall 2011 actually. Just happens.

  11. 6) Passive? Aggressive? Sounds like a prison rape question. It's never as simple as "camp" or "move"... there are 2 teams competing for points during a match, and things such as positioning, teamwork, accuracy and damage per second are important. Just like any other quake discipline, it's about the ability to read your opponent(s), anticipating their move and countering it before they get a chance to striken. You may have impeccable aim, but running into a room with two opponents, you still have a very high chance of death, even if you take one of them down. Supposing you go into the big middle room in dm13, kill kyzerr with a nice flickshot but go down to me straight away. Were me and kyzerr camping there? Could be. Or possibly we executed a perfectly timed pincher manouvre where kyzerr came from upper mega and me from the medkit/YA room? And camping works in theory, but it brings a boring aspect to the game, and normally it's being practiced by people who rate winning an instagib game in any way possible rather than in style. I've noticed the Polish players are very prone to this type of behaviour.

  13. 7a) With the current state of the game, competitive iTDM is an oxymoron. The concept of TDM in any deathmatch FPS, be it Warsow, Painkiller, or any of the games from the Quake or Unreal Tournament series all have one thing in common: the demand on fluidity of movement in order to capture items imperative for successful progress. Once an item such as a power up or armor has been picked up, the area becomes irrelevant and further movement is required as you are using your tactical advantage to hunt down your opponents. The fact you have just picked up an armor or powerup implies that you are statistically more likely to survive a confrontation, thus both building your amount of frags and making it easier to capture any future items or power ups. iTDM throws all that out of the window, and camping is favoured as there is no statistical advantage in venturing out, so campfests commence. You say no iTDM? I say good. And in no way or form does it reflect badly on the quake instagib scene, Quake 3 instagib is back on clanbase, QuakeLive events still are going strong on clanbase (and with the introduction of WGA, the amount of competition increased and there are finally USA-centered leagues as well). We currently have twice as much competition as a year ago, and pickup games for QL iCTF are as active as ever. So no, it does not reflect badly.

  15. 7b) What do I think of reloaded? If this was a Facebook relationship status, definitely "it's complicated". Yes, I think it's a great idea in theory to create a mod for noghosters to upgrade to 1.32 (it's been a few years). But at the same time, one has to wonder about the predicted outcome: noghost activity prevailed because of the 1.16n platform rather than in spite of it. We've been reluctant to move to other 1.31 (iu, iFreeze) and 1.32 (eFreeze, Corkscrew, Excessiveplus) mods in the past, so logistically and politically speaking, it would take a great amount of political and logistic skill in order to not only successfully transfer the bulk of the active noghost community into the new mod, as well as significant contributions from other instagib mods AND maintain the numbers with proactive cup management. And the way the past year has gone by, I am not holding my breath for reloaded: it still can be a sort of CPM for instagibbers (the motto of 1.32 mod CPM aka Challenge ProMode is "for pros by pros", we could have "for instagibbers by instagibbers". But at the same time I am not sure Dr Turk has the charisma, poise and more importantly experience to successfully manage a project of this scale and ambition: bigger and more ambitious mods with several coders, community support and active bugtracking project management software have failed before, and trying doesn't automatically mean success. In the past year we've seen both good and bad: the Reloaded source website seems to have some sort of "cult of personality" feel to it (much like USSR did way back) and people who disagree or voice criticism are quick to be turned penalised. I think the potential lashback could be bigger then it needed to be: the authoritarian way Turk initially behaved on the Reloaded website shows that he may need to learn objectivity if he wishes to maintain a large and diverse playerbase. And definitely stop being overly serious. Each reloaded press release looks like a Diplomatic letter from the embassy of Swaziland, and sometimes gets treated as such. I mean we're in noghost are optimistic and are very acceptant of anything we're told, but when promoting to other sources, you have to remember they may see things more realistically. Plus if you're choosing a name for a potential quake 3 mod, make sure it's not one domain away from a porn site (RLDD.COM)

  17. 8) I'm also in inFected and pizdec4life. If SYN disbanded (which it won't), I'd choose inFected or pizdec4life because I'm already in them.

  19. 9) I don't think eSports journalist Duncan “Thorin” Shields had insta freeze tag in mind when he asked this question. Most tactical? Most CLUTCH? in iFT? Nigga please it's all about DPS and accuracy, let's assume the aliens had access to cloning technology in order to clone me 4 times. gg no re. Or if you want a serious answer then I guess arronax-aimer, funnyb-tactical, NooD-CLUTCH, and I get to be the "most".

  21. 10) BroTeamPill is pretty good at upsetting people, just look at their "The Last of Us" review. Instant butthurt!
