  2. ---------------------------------
  3.
  4. THE SUMMARY
  5. ···········
  6.
  7. This Saturday 23, August at 18:00 GMT, we're gonna do the 3rd Dark Souls Hardcore Mode Bingo streaming event.
  8. The event is open to everyone who can stream; it doesn't matter if you have 3 followers or 30,000.

  13. THE RULES
  14. ·········
  15.
  16. - Hardcore Mode. Permadeath. When you die you delete your character, press the New Card button on the Bingo website and start a new character. You never know when someone may die, so you can jump from last to first place quite easily.
  17. - To win you must complete 2 lines in any direction (column, row, or diagonal) without dying. Finishing the game is not required, just completing the objectives.
  18. - Your game must be updated to the latest version and the run must begin from a new character.
  19. - Offline mode. It's a race against the game, not players. Avoids summoning players for bosses, stream sniping, death due lag, and avoids getting some items the easy way (small stones, tokens of fidelity).Weapon restrictions take effect immediately after choosing class.
  20. - The race starts from the 'New Game' prompt in the Main Menu.
  21. - You can click on the squares to turn them green and red on the bingo website. This may help you organize your route planning.
  22. - All items required for an objective must be in your inventory at the end of the run, boss souls included (i.e. no consumption, no dropping, visible in inventory).
  23. - For numeric souls goals you must have that number of souls in your soul counter (bottom left) at the end of the run.
  24. - For summoning you simply must summon the NPC, fighting a boss or keeping them alive is not necessary.
  25. - For 'Never wear armour' you must immediately remove armour upon having it equipped after choosing class.
  26. - 'Soul vessel' cannot be used.
  27. - Item DLC must not be used.
  28. - No glitches. Cheesing is fair play since it's already part of the game (i.e. Dragonrider fall). This means itemparries, soul duping, and playing on an unpatched version of the game for OP Hexes\Binoboost. The game must be updated to the latest version.
  29. - No Alt+F4/Quit to prevent deaths. There's no point playing with permadeath if we are cheating ourselves out of it. If you need to escape use the tools the game gives you (i.e. homeward bones, Darksign).
  30. - Rings of Life/Soul Protection prevent death losses but don't prevent death itself. Using one and dying still count as a death.
  31. - No re-rolling your card unless you die. No 'accidental' falls in Things Betwixt either :V.
  32.

  34. TIPS
  35. ....
  36.
  37. - Knowing where everything is located is not part of the challenge, so you can use wikis and the Dark Souls II Cheat Sheet (http://smcnabb.github.io/dark-souls-2-cheat-sheet/) freely.
  38.
  39. - To go into offline mode on PC you got 2 options:
  40. 1. Go into 'Offline Mode' on Steam. Top menu > Steam > Go Offline.
  41. 2. Get a firewall and let it ask for permission to access the internet every time Dark Souls II starts (if this sounds like Chinese to you -and you don't speak Chinese :P- then don't bother).
  42.
  43.
  44. FAQ
  45. ...
  46.
  47. - Weapon only requirements do not block use of shields, but they block use of ALL sorceries, pyromancies, and miracles (since those require a catalyst). Disc chime can only be used as a shield.
  48.
  49. - Estus/Darksign do not count as consumables for 'No consumables'. Basically if an item can disappear from your inventory then it's a consumable.
  50.
  51. - All objectives are "at least X", so you need "at least 150000 souls" and they have to be in your soul counter (lower right), your Soul Memory doesn't count.
  52.
  53.
  54. KNOWN TYPOS
  55. ···········
  56.
  57. IT SAYS SHOULD SAY
  58.
  59. - Obtain Idol's Charm -> Obtain Idol's Chime
  60. - Summon Lucatiel (Lost Bastille) -> Summon Lucatiel (Sinner's Rise)
  61. - Get +5 Estus Flask -> Get 5 Estus charges
  62.
  63. ...and remember -- if you die in the game, you die in real life.
