Aserveti House Fluff

To the credit of the Aserveti family, they have held a prestigious and considerably old, albeit small, connection the creation of the Empire itself. Supposedly created soon after the First Emperor came to be, the Aserveti were one of the first houses to be ennobled, forged from a small sect of Fae. Although never reigning much political power, they have always been as faithful and loyal as possible to the Emperor's lineage, going as far as to have their Heads of their House serve directly as Hand-maidens, butlers, and other menial but dignified duties, along with other, more prestigious holdings. They are considered exemplar for their thankless efforts, and they themselves will accept little to deviancy or opposition to the Emperor, going as far as to don masks if they some how bring Shame to the Empire or their lineage.

    However, it is said that for all their humility and their honor, the Aserveti are…Unhinged in some regards. They will not deny command of any kind from the Emperor, or his regents. Not only that, but most of them carry a unnatural fondness for Contracts and oaths, never daring to break them when made. They instinctively have a dire want of a master, of somebody to lead them and command them, which they often readily find in the Emperor. Beyond that, they carry with them mostly a cold, and detached attitude, with sharp and sometimes even violent intellect. Many say these odd aspects of their general personality come from their insular nature, and their Fae origin. What ever the case, their actual small holdings comprise of some lands long held near the Crag border, and a small estate near the very heart of the Empire, where they mostly reside.
