- Hello Kris and Allan,
- I have two questions about ZFS. Is it possible to create zpool mirror with only
- one device and then add second one later? Also, is it safe to use disks of two
- different sizes and from different manufacturers (one WD 2tb and one seagate
- 1,5tb)? I suppose that it would be logical to first use smaller disk while
- creating zpool so there won't be problems adding second one later?
- Also, while reading on creating zpool I've read about ashift option and that it
- is recommended for performance reasons to use zpool create with "-o ashift=12"
- option but I'm not entirely sure why, would you like to explain it to me in more
- detail?
