  1. The flower leads to a small, very small, island with a single stone pillar in the centre. On one side of the pillar are carvings, they depict small winged creatures worshipping a glowing seed. Around the carving are small inlets that are in the shape of petals.
  2.
  3. Once the flower's petals are placed in the carvings the centre of the stone would begin to coalesce energy until something shatters in the centre, the rock caving in on itself. On the inside of this 'shell' is a glowing, star-filled landscape of brilliant whites dotted across swirling dark purples.
  4.
  5. Stepping into it causes extreme vertigo and the group passes out before finding themselves waking in the middle of a grassy clearing, trees surround it as an impenetrable wall and a voice calls out to them. As it speaks, in the sky, golden dots stream past like busy traffic, closer examination would reveal that they were all the fae that visited Agartha.
  6.
  7. In the clearing sits six statues of six different animals, as the party examines them, the voice rings out again and explains this as their first trial. Each animal links to it a feat of strength that at least one person in the party must perform.
  8.
  9. Bull - Strength
  10. Bear - Fortitude
  11. Dragon - Wisdom
  12. Fox - Cunning
  13. Eagle - Swiftness
  14. Wolf - Teamwork
  15.
  16. Each task can only be attempted by each person once though it only requires one person to succeed for the task to be considered complete.
  17.
  18.
  19.
  20. The voice speaks again and some of the trees regress and opens a winding path. The path opens into yet another clearing and in this one there is an injured wolf being chased down by a pack of its own kind.
  21.
  22. Just before the final blow is about to be made, the scene freezes and the voice starts up once more, asking the group what they would do if they were placed in the middle of this situation.
  23.
  24. Depending on the answers the scene would shift and the wolves would be replaced with humans in the same position.
  25.
  26. Ultimately, the voice reveals this as a test of the soul and explains to them what life is, fundamentally. And how viewing it through the lens of love can warp what it truly is.
  27.
  28.
  29.
  30. Once the mind, body and soul have been tested the voice reveals another test, this time one for the heart.
  31. The voice once more talks about the discrepancy between the soul and the heart about what is good for the world and what is good for a person.
  32.
  33. Everything goes white and the party passes out once more. This time they wake up in the middle of a bustling city, one that seems familiar and yet foreign. All of the architecture is normal, all of the races local and yet this is nothing they have ever seen nor anyone they recognise.
  34.
  35. The city is perfect, absolutely perfect in fact. The streets are immaculate, everyone travels around joyfully and nobody seems to fear anything, not even the apparently monstrous Eiphraem or the chaos dripping off of others.
  36.
  37. The city can be explored though there is nothing rare to be acquired. Citizens don't seem to question how immaculate everything is or how perfect their lives are and all questions get ultimately redirected to the lord of the kingdom.
  38.
  39. The party go there, merry introductions are had by all and the lord invites them to a feast. He seems genuinely nice and kind though there are waves of chaos seemingly billowing off of him.
  40.
  41. The party can attend the feast or do some snooping of their own.
  42.
  43. During the feast or during their explorations the party will meet with the court wizard. He's a thin, raggedy looking man with suspicion written all over him. They can confront him or tail him once the feast is over.
  44.
  45. He will vanish into his office if chased but ultimately they will converse and he will confess to everything, how he's been helping the lord keep up his charade. But now that he's away from the other lords in the keep the party will note that he is completely free of Chaos or malcontent.
  46.
  47. Eventually he will reveal what is going on, an innocent child is taken from his home in the night and bound into the dungeon. There he is tortured and drained of his lifeforce and spirit, he survives, but not forever and once one child is spent another takes his place.
  48.
  49. The lord and his court use chaos magic to drain the children and pump that energy back into the city making everyone happy and complacent and make it the perfect place to live.
  50.
  51. The party, ultimately, must decide if they wish to break this cycle, free the children but plunge the city into darkness, war and violence. This is the test of heart.
  52.
  53. The needs of the many vs the needs of the few.
  54.
  55. Ultimately, this trial will decide the outcome and the voice will reveal themselves as Asena, goddess of life. The party wake back up in another green clearing, the centre of this contains a dais with a single brilliantly glowing gem in the centre of it.
  56.
  57. Fae come and go from this, collecting its power into small golden crystals, the same that were used in the prelude events.
  58.
  59. Asena passes judgement on the party, based on their heart and soul, to see if they can be entrusted with the power of life. The gem being the ultimate power of life in Agartha if not Eternia itself.
  60.
  61.
  62.
  63. If they are judged worthy, one of the party goers will sacrifice their status as a PC to become a tier 1 EC aspect of life.
  64. They get all of nature for free and all of the Ookami racials. They will be given a ring that is character bound to them to represent the buff. (And represent breaking all old covenants and shackles.)
  65.
  66. The ring will have the stats necessary to buff them into an EC. They will be tasked by Asena to turn Agartha into a haven for life, routing out all opponents of it, especially undeath.
  67.
  68. If someone rejects this gift on that front, they will instead be nerfed by a rather large amount (30-40 vit).
  69. From then on the EC is an EC, same rules as the other wandering ECs however this one keeps their old faction ties as far as Asena will allow it. If the wolf goddess deems that they are straying from the path they will get the same hefty nerf and will be turned back into a PC.
  70.
  71. If they reject the gift from the start then instead they will be granted a portion of the gem's power as a prize for passing the trials.
  72.
  73. It will be a special crafting material that will give a hefty buff to either bio pow or bio def on a non-unique amulet but this can only be wielded by those that gained the power. It can also be used as fluff material for other things besides having an immediate mechanical usage.
  74.
  75.
  76.
  77. After this the party will awake on the same rocky shore, the rock reformed to its usual self, the golden petals wilted away in the carvings. Those empowered will find themselves empowered. The others will be in small pain from having been asleep on a wet rock for x amount of time.
  78.
  79. Any loot obtained in the "dream" world will stay with them back to Agartha. (I'll be spreading other minor rewards throughout.)
