(7:13:53 PM) DM_Seranov: As dawn breaks, the autumn sky is becoming more and more blue. You find yourselves waking, excitement at the Swallowtail Festival almost palpable.
(7:15:28 PM) DM_Seranov: The Autumnal Equinox is well-heralded in Sandpoint village, as the Swallowtail Festival is one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year. There will be speeches, games and festivities all day long, and you have come here specifically for today.
(7:16:18 PM) DM_Seranov: As you finish clothing yourselves, you all leave your various sleeping quarters, finding the crisp morning helps to wake you up.
(7:17:37 PM) DM_Seranov: The festivities seem to be getting started, and crowds are already forming.
(7:20:13 PM) ***Tosid steps out of his door, armor and all sloppily arranged. "Doren's beard, oi hate tha mornins."
(7:21:00 PM) DM_Seranov: The town's mayor is on a soapbox in the middle of the town square. He's welcoming everyone to the Swallowtail Festival, even cracking jokes. The crowd's pleased reaction seems contagious, you find yourselves enjoying yourselves already.
(7:21:01 PM) ***Kristopher shields his eyes from the sun. "Indeed. Much too bright."
(7:22:25 PM) DM_Seranov: Three more speakers come after Mayor Deverin, each giving an enthusiastic, if not a little droll, speech of their own.
(7:22:56 PM) ***Tristan looks about, enjoying the atmosphere
(7:23:36 PM) DM_Seranov: Finally, Father Zantus of the newly completed cathedral gives his speech, and announces

(7:24:03 PM) DM_Seranov: With a loud cheer and a round of applause, the crowd begins to split, heading towards the various activities, games and presentations.
(7:24:12 PM) ***Adrana begins to hurredly go around to what stalls are already open, trying to buy what trinkets and supplies she can before the crowd gets too much.
(7:26:16 PM) ***Taniir claps with the crowd glad to finally be able to celebrate. He goes out and enjoys himself chatting with a few residents he knows.
(7:27:09 PM) DM_Seranov: The Swallowtail Weightlifting Event has drawn quite a crowd.
(7:27:50 PM) DM_Seranov: Numerous men line up to prove their strength to the oo-ing and ahh-ing crowd.

(8:02:11 PM) DM_Seranov: Two whole hours have passed. Ain't nobody seen you. You hop out of the tree and return to the town square, looking for any of the competitors. The young city guard sees you and approaches you.
(8:02:29 PM) DM_Seranov: "I thought you ran off! We finished an hour ago!"
(8:03:16 PM) DM_Seranov: He flips you a gold coin, shrugging. "Yer a sneaky one, that's for sure."
(8:03:48 PM) DM_Seranov: Suddenly, the cathedral bells begin to count noon.
(8:03:49 PM) ***Taniir shrugs. "I'm suprised you didnt find me first. I hid in a tree and took a nap."
(8:04:23 PM) DM_Seranov: He smirks, and then turns to the middle of the town square.

(8:05:20 PM) DM_Seranov: Father Zantus and his acolytes wheel a large covered wagon into the square, and after recounting the short parable of how Desna first fell to earth and was nursed back to health by a blind child whom she transformed into an immortal butterfly as a reward for her aid, they pull aside the wagon's cover, releasing the thousand children of Desna-a furious storm of swallowtail butterflies that swarm into the air in a spiraling riot of color to a great cheer from the crowd.

(8:07:38 PM) DM_Seranov: "And now, I would like to invite all our wonderful guests to enjoy a free lunch, regards of our local taverns! Eat, drink and be merry!"
