1. Name: Yamauchi Takehiko
2. Age: 58
3. Gender: Male
4. Classification: Eringi (mushroom man)
5. Occupation: Monk, Herbalist
6. Height: 5’8”
7. Weight: 193 Lbs.
8. Eyes: Red
9. Hair: N/A
10. Appearance:
11. Takehiko looks like a well-built man, albeit with pale, sand-colored skin. Due to his age, he is slightly hunched, but due to his training he’s quite fit and assumes a normal stance in battle. He appears to have has his head shaved, like one would expect of a monk, and has absolutely no hair anywhere on his face. Even his eyebrows appear to be shaved. His face is wrinkled well, WELL beyond his years, and his eyes are sunken into his face; his mouth seems to be forever pulled in a frown, due to his wrinkles, and his nose is quite round. Interesting to note, Takehiko’s breath always seems to smell of mildew; when he breathes heavily, spores can be barely seen coming out of his mouth.
12. On his head, a large sugegasa covers the top of his head, made of straw, and with fringe on the end resembling Lion’s Mane Mushroom. Normally, the hat is so large, it is hard to see Takehiko’s face, let alone underneath the hat; however, if one does manage to, one will see that the hat actually covers a mushroom cap, which is very much a part of Takehiko, and you can see the (his) gills underneath. He wears large, loose black robes, which seem to have small mushrooms growing around his shoulders. Around his hands are bandages, with leather braces on top. He wears a light brown rakusu over these robes, and on his feet, he wears geta sandals. On his back, a large straw basket is worn, where he keeps many herbs, medicine, and of course, various mushrooms. On his waist, he carries his katana, Masutake, in a koshirae, which is made of black wood and covered with several designs in gold inlay.

14. Powers and Abilities
15.
16. - -Instant Movement: A technique that is acquired by those whose style emphasizes speed in which the practitioner can achieve short bursts of drastically increased speed to cross a chosen fixed distance in a straight line. Using the proper stance and stepping methods, the practitioner can displace their spatial motion very briefly in such a way that they are able to cross a distance (maximum 100 meters) in shorter time than normally allowed through sheer skill alone. Thus, Takehiko can appear to be teleporting when using this attack.
17.
18. - Iaijutsu Fighter
19. Takehiko is a skilled combatant, trained not only in unarmed combat, but also in the art of Iaijutsu. As a monk, he can manipulate his life force, allowing him to heal allies & strengthen his own attacks. Due to the sort of sword style he uses, Takehiko’s sword attacks are often intended as counter-attacks. Takehiko’s main techniques, along with more commonplace swordplay & martial arts, includes the following:
20. ~ Nami – Takehiko’s blade glows blue, and he quickly swings it in a wide arc, creating a wave of life force that will fly straight in the direction thrown. The wave is fast and can even cut through beam projectiles, but doesn’t deal much damage.
21. ~ Hansha – Takehiko is able to counter a single close-range weapon strike with his blade, even if it hasn’t been drawn, and by using his life force, not only avoid damage, but caused the force of the opponent’s attack to be reversed. However, Takehiko cannot counter attacks that are considered unblockable, and if the user has some sort of effect that would allow them to overpower him (such as hyper armor), then Hansha might be unsuccessful.
22. ~ Kirikizu – If Takehiko can predict an opponent’s attempt to move around him, which can include jumps, flying or gliding (at close range), and sidesteps or dodge rolls, Takehiko will combine Instant Movement with a life force-infused sword attack. This allows him to able to attack an opponent from behind, using a very powerful strike that forces them to be knocked down. Takehiko recovers some stamina from this attack.
23. ~ Hyakuha – Takehiko rushes forward, slashing ahead of him with his blade. Using life force to augment his already fast blade, he creates something almost like a barrier in front of him, allowing him to even go through rapid fire attacks or super armor. However, the life force used in this is such that, while he can use it again directly afterwards, it will decrease his strength by one star for three turns, per extra use.
24. ~ Rankiryu – Takehiko pulls out his blade and holds it above him, and uses his life force to create a swirl of spores around his blade. He then crashes his blade down on his opponent, dealing a large amount of damage and planting spores on the opponent.
25. ~ Shinju – Takehiko launches a large orb of blue life force from his palm, which moves somewhat slowly, but homes in on his opponent. Should they encounter another projectile made of Life Force, they will absorb & take on the properties of that projectile. Takehito can also choose to charge Shinju for anywhere between 1-3 turns, granting the attack durability to go through 1-3 more projectiles, as well as increasing the movement speed. However, Takehito cannot charge Shinju during one of his other attacks. Takehiko may only have one Shinju active at a time.
26. ~ Kyushuken – Takehiko jabs his opponent, using his life force to absorb their health before knocking them upwards with an uppercutting motion. If the opponent has had spores placed on them prior, Takehiko will drain more health from the opponent, and even moreso if they’ve started to grow into mushrooms.
27. ~ Subete – Takehiko breathes in deeply, and as he breathes out, he thrusts his arms out, releasing a burst of life force around him in a range of 50 meters, throwing spores all around him. Stuns enemies with Earth damage, and plants spores on all characters within his range.
28. ~ Iki – Takehiko takes a moment to breathe deeply, restoring some stamina to all of his allies and healing any light wounds they may have. Weak physical ailments will also be cured with this skill.
29. ~ Ieru – Takehiko takes a moment to breathe deeply, focusing on a single character & clearing any physical and mental ailments they have. They will also recover stamina, but not to the same degree as Iki.
30. ~ Kesshoken – Takehiko’s ultimate. Focusing a huge part of his life force into his palm, he proceeds to perform what might appear to be a very weak attack. However, thanks to the life force behind this attack, a huge amount of power comes out, equivalent to twice his Strength stat. The amount of power is so great, defensive measures such as shields or barriers will also do nothing to stop his attack, and is quite capable of breaking such defenses, making the attack unblockable. However, the huge amount of life force that goes behind this attack leaves Takehiko vulnerable, reducing his Endurance by one star and his Strength and Projection by two stars for five turns afterwards.
31.
32. - Eringi Infection
33. As an Eringi, when Takehiko fights, he releases special spores from his cap, which are then spread both by the wind, and by his body’s movements. These spores contain a sedative drug, which causes opponents to be overcome with tiredness. Characters that are exposed to these spores, either by physical contact or by inhaling them, will initially experience a small loss in their ability to focus, decreasing their Stamina stat by one star. Further exposure will cause them to be further sedated, leading to sudden tiredness, and eventually causing them to fall asleep. These spores will activate regardless of whether they just land on the opponent or are inhaled, though they have no effect on non-organic beings, such as robots, and they can be cleared using any healing ability outside of innate regeneration.
34. After about 2 turns, if the spores are ignored, they will begin to grow into mushrooms. This makes it so they require more dedicated force to be removed, and at this point the opponent’s energy will start to be drained, making them more vulnerable to the sedating effects of the original spores. On top of this, inhaled spores will grow inside the lungs, making breathing much more difficult.
35. After 2 more turns (4 turns total), the mushrooms will then finish growing, making them only removable with medicine or abilities that can heal poison. They will now drain energy at a very fast rate, and it will be returned to Takehiko, healing his stamina over time.
36. The time it takes for spores to grow can be increased or reduced by a turn for every 2 stars higher/lower than Takehiko’s Resistance stat (respectively). Characters with a resistance to Earth-based abilities, or at least 4 stars of Endurance and Stamina, will also be able to more easily resist these spores as well, even if inhaled. Takehiko himself is immune to these spores.
37.
38. - Eringi Filter
39. As an Eringi, Takehiko’s body is fungal, which grants him a few upsides. He is immune to most poisons, drugs, and Toxic-based side effects in general, as these are effects his body is used to processing, and as a result can actually heal as a result of being poisoned; however, a large dose will be enough to cause the intended effect, albeit muted.

51. ~ Masutake
52. A katana which Takehiko uses as one of his main weapons, alongside his fists & feet. The blade is approximately 2 and 1/2 feet long, and Masutake’s handle is made of similar wood to his koshirae, although it’s circular hilt is painted to look like a red toadstool mushroom.
53. ~ Straw Bag
54. A simple, large straw bag, which Takehiko carries when travelling. It carries his basic travel supplies – food & water, a sleeping bag, a map, scrolls containing holy scriptures, and oil for cleaning his blade.
55.
56. Note:
57. ~ A turn refers to the time take during a player’s post, which starts when the player posts and lasts until they must post again. As a result, in larger RPs it’s possible for effects based on rounds to last longer, or for cooldowns to take longer.
