We stand against the corrupt gaming press because they stand for the end of us.


In their arrogance they thought they were our betters, when they worked at our pleasure. They think they deserve praise, and are ashamed of us, mere gamers. They think that because they were the gatekeepers we depended on them.

They are wrong.

They have lorded their position of privilege over us for far too long.
No more.

Everything they believe is backwards. We don't need the gaming press, they need us; they need our clicks for their ad revenue. They need our eyes for the gaming industry access they Lord over us. They are the gatekeepers because we have allowed it so. This ends now.
You no longer speak for us or at us. We don't need you for anything. Game reviews? We have youtubers like totalbiscuit. News about a new game? We have Twitter. Game developers need to reach us? As Nintendo direct has proven, they can build their own direct channels to us, their customers. There's nothing you gaming press bring to the table, instead you take, smear, and insult us.
You thought we were powerless, but we have the greatest power there is, control of our wallets and a way to reach corporations that want to sell to us, the consumers.

You took away 4 Chan from us. You thought that was the coupe de grace against us. You were mistaken, 4 Chan wasn't our home were we dwelt. It was a containment board. It kept us from getting out. You thought the door was closed to keep you out so we could have a circle jerk, it was to keep us from getting out, you kicked us out, now we are free.

You can insult us, smear us, slander us, but you will only fasten your demise. Your days are over.
We will build whatever needs to be built to replace you.
If you think this is just a hit piece or an opinion, may I remind you about Intel, Mercedes, Colgate, Adobe, Nissan, and so on? We hold the power in our relationship, and we have spoken, you speak for us or at us no more.
This could have ended with a sincere apology and a change in your ways, instead you decided to antagonize us with your usual arrogance.

What can never be forgiven is the attack you made to the weakest among us, the neets. You targeted wizard chan because you saw them as pitiful. Their only mistake was showing their weakness, being afraid of an uncaring world that left them behind. Their only escapism, gaming, you tried to take away from them. This we won't forgive. They might be down on their luck, but they are still our brothers in gaming, and we stand for them and with them.

Our endgame is for you to get out of gaming. We won't stop until you are out and we make gaming into the best it can be for us, the gamers.

We will develop a way for Indy developers to reach us.

We will devise a new way for reviews, one where metacritic scores can't be gamed for political reasons.

We will keep professional victims outside of gaming.

We will setup a system to police our reviewers. Any new gaming site will have to stand for ethical journalism. Any bias will be communicated.

We will do this herculean task and succeed because we are gamers. There's is no goal that is too hard and no grind that is too long, for we are gamers. In gaming there is no race, no sexual orientation, no age, no economic status, no religion. There are only gamers. We praise those that succeed, and encourage those that fail to try again, and again until they git gud.

So keep slandering us, keep insulting us. You are not even a mid boss for us. You won't outlast us, we are gamers. You can't slay that which has no life. And we have nothing to lose. Our credibility in the main stream media is less than zero. Didn't you hear that we, gamers, caused Columbine? They can't smear us anymore.
