Youtube Room Rules

Make sure you get your content approved by ROOM STAFF (%, @, #). Globals will not approve your links unless they are confident in doing so; so please do not pester them with the request.

Every room has rules to follow, and the YouTube room is no different. Be sure you've read everything here so you know how the room operates and how not to break the rules.

General Guidelines
1. All global rules apply.

2. Do not abuse formatting & commands. These can include bold, /me, CAPS, etc. Only use these when it is necessary to do so.

3. Advertising outside of your YouTube content & Twitch content is not permitted in the room. If you are unsure of what you are able to share, PM a room staff beforehand.

4. If you have an issue with any punishments that take place within the room, do not use the room to escalate the issue. Proceed to speak with the room staff member maturely through PMs. If need be, escalate this issue to a Room Owner (#).

Advertising Guidelines
1. When advertising a YouTube channel, the channel must be your own. To verify this, before linking your channel to anybody, please insert your PS! username in your channel description. We do this so that we don't ruin the reputation of any YouTubers. If someone came in claiming to be this channel then spewed a lot of hate talk or worse, people would be more inclined to dislike that channel or even report them. You may also not promote "your friend's/brother's/sister's/dog's" YouTube channel as it is hard to prove they are who you say they are.

2. The channel must not contain any inappropriate content. This includes hate speech toward any race/gender/religion/group of people, talk of drugs or illegal substances, and anything that is against YouTube's general community guidelines. Each channel will be checked by a staff member beforehand to make sure that nothing of this nature is present on your channel. Please be aware that while you and other members of the room may be adults, PS! is used by minors, and we do not tolerate any 18+ or illegal content being shown in the room.

3. To advertise your YouTube video or channel in the room; PM Kid A with the message ".requestapproval youtube, [link], [description]". When sending this to the bot, remove the brackets. The description for your video is optional; it will be broadcasted to the others in the chat, it does not need to be your video description. When advertising a channel using this method, be sure you have a channel trailer active first or else the request will automatically fail. It will then be up to the staff to decide if the content is appropriate enough to view/watch or not. Use the same command for advertising another video, just replace the link.
 - To advertise and talk in the room, your channel must be autoconfirmed. If you are not autoconfirmed then you will not be allowed to post.

4. A channel/video may only be advertised once every 2 hour and 50 lines (25 lines is roughly a page length). You must not advertise your content until both requirements are fulfilled.
​ - The command '/showjoins' does not count as a line. A line is when a user talks in the chat room. Do not abuse or work around these requirements or you will be punished.
