The Devil went down to Conton

His elbow connected with the skull of one of the soldiers he was fighting creating a thick cracking sound. He jumped back with a snarl, avoiding an energy blast aimed at the spot he had been in, all around him crumbling hab blocks and city spires surrounded him. He hadn't thought it was possible, an army had invaded Conton City. "No, not an army, Freeza..." He thought. Another energy blast was hurled his way and he smacked it back with a growl, immolating the freeza soldier with his own energy. Taking his moment of respite he looked into the sky, the scouter on his left eye zooming in on the object of his attention, Freeza's flagship. "This is just like Vegeta..." Targos muttered.

Conton had been invaded, heavy fighting was being seen all throughout Conton's various districts, none more so than the city district. Rather than go full force the Time Patrollers had fought to try and salvage as much of the city as they could, and so fought less effectively than they ought to, already a number of them had been killed this way. The Soldiers of Freeza and even the Time Breakers that were with him not caring at all and wiping the patroller and entire city blocks out of existence.

Not everyone who lived in conton was a Patroller, there were some who had retired and decided to live their life in the city, adding to the Time Nests growing population and economy, they were effectively civilians. They were some of the first to die. The second place that was targeted was the Academy, most likely the invading army sought to do damage by killing off the potential patrollers in training. The Staff of the Academy had luckily delayed most of the enemy seeking to destroy it and so casualties were light, but they were still there.

"This is a fucking travesty." He thought as another fish faced alien rushed him, he spun around, using the momentum to build force with which he used to kick it into a building, breaking the sound barrier with the speed at which the alien went flying. He watched with some satisfaction as the front of the small shop he kicked it into collapsed burying the person in tons of rubble.

He tried surfing through channels again with his scouter, hoping to get in touch with at least SOMEONE but it seemed of little use. Using his brief moment of distraction three figures landed in front of him a short distance away. He turned his attention to the trio and was somewhat mildly surprised.

"Wait... I know you three, I'm your division commander, what are you doing?" They were wearing the same armour of the invaders, the pto symbol brazenly etched over their hearts.

"Well, you see, we decided to throw our lot in with Lord Freeza, seemed like a smart thing to do." One of them answered, he was a human, Targos noted with some disgust the plain scouter on his face. Red, he must be the squad leader.

"It's not just us either." A second one said, this one a Namekian. "All around Conton others are throwing off the shackles that Chronoa placed upon us, you could say this is us taking our freedom back."

Targos crossed his arms, not feeling too worried by these three, he knew personally how strong they were and knew that if he used his super saiyan form or the ascended form he'd be able to kill them all easily. Fighting Rupiri all those agonizing times had also done wonders to his power level, all those near death beatings.

"So it's treason then? How disappointing. I expected a better reason than that, even some of the nut cases who get inducted here have better reasons than you three." He couldn't help the sneer forming on his face. "Pathetic." he spat.

All three of them frowned, the last one, one of Freeza's kin finally spoke up.

"Commander, you can't beat us, we're stronger than you and you know it. C'mon, why not join us, we've heard how everyone talks about you." he swept his arm out, encompassing the city. "All of Conton thinks you're a joke, you've never won a single match or spar, they say you're a failure, why not join us and prove them wrong?!" He seemed earnest, Targos would give him that.

Targos was silent for a few moments, staring at the one who'd spoke, contemplating. While it was true that he had a long and sordid history when it came to fighting, it wasn't that he was weak, it's that the people he fought were magnitudes stronger than he could ever reasonably hope to be.

"Well." He said. "You're not wrong about that, however none of that really matters to me at all. I didn't come here to "Get stronger" or to "Protect time." I came here because I had nowhere else to go, honestly. Besides the things you can do with capsule technology is amazing!" He just managed to stop himself from going into a rant of all the wonders of combining dyno-caps and senzu essence. Time and a place he thought grudgingly.

"Anyways, I'm going to kill you three now." WIth an explosion of power he reached his ascended form, eclipsing the power these three brought to bare easily. "And I wont lie, I'm probably going to eat the namekian, it's been a long time and they are delicious." A crazed grin came over his face, he was going to enjoy this.

"Wait did you say ea-glark" The human was too busy talking so Targos used the superior speed he had and moved, ramming his fist through the mans chest, a quick surge of power and he burst apart into a shower of gore.
