+Je Suis Ce Que Je Suis __ Any "normal person" who hears what he had said (and perhaps many people would have heard it because it was a "thanksgiving message") will "suppress the doubt" as it rises up. Internally (quietly) they would "invent an excuse" (a "plausible explanation" for it) and successfully reason that he must have meant something innocent.

I call this process "doubt suppression training" and we all do it with the things we believe. Each time a person encounters something that could be construed as "a reason to doubt" the person will dismiss and disregard it (to conform with their belief - in this case - that the "ISS" is real and manned).

By doing this "doubt suppression training" each person becomes a little better at dismissing it - especially if a new doubt arises that is similar to this one (and to reject one "slip" means that person will more easily dismiss other "slips").

We have all been doing this from birth and by the time we are adults we are skilled and experts!
