  1. Thank you for choosing the Dark Souls "Bloodborne" Experience! This aims to emulate Bloodborne's feel and mechanics as closely as possible, given the limitations of the older Souls games' engines. For this, you will need:
  2.
  3. 1. A copy of Dark Souls or Dark Souls 2
  4. 2. An image of the logo for said game
  5. 3. A stopwatch
  6.
  7. Don't laugh at number two, it is incredibly important for the proper experience while playing. Before we begin, take the logo and put it on a black background, and resize it to the resolution of your monitor. When done correctly, the only thing you should be able to see when it's up is "Dark Souls" or "Dark Souls 2" on a black background. Save that image file, and just put it aside for now. Now, let's get into the meat of the challenge.
  8.
  9. 1. You may not use a shield at any point. Crossbows and the Parrying Dagger are permitted, and even encouraged!
  10. 1a. If you absolutely /must/ use a shield, it must be the shitty wooden one that the hollows drop in the Undead Burg.
  11.
  12. 2. You may only upgrade your weapons (both main and off-hand). You are free to mix and match your armor as ever, but you cannot upgrade it.
  13.
  14. 3. Every time you die, switch over to that image of the logo (again making sure that it is the only thing you can see). Start the stopwatch, and watch for 30 seconds. After the 30 seconds have passed, minimize the logo image and continue playing. This process is henceforth known as "loading".
  15.
  16. 4. Should you reach the Lordvessel, you may only teleport to and from Firelink Shrine/Majula. Going *to* these places is a 15 second load, going *from* them is a 30 second load. This means that if you wanted to go from Anor Londo to Lost Izalith, you must first go from Anor Londo to Firelink Shrine, then go from Firelink Shrine to Lost Izalith.
  17.
  18. Thank you for playing, and happy hunting!
