  1. TF2 General FAQs
  2.
  3. >I haven’t played in a while, and I have all these items. How much are they worth?
  4. Backpack.tf and tf2spreadsheet.blogspot.com are what many TF2 traders and players use to check the value of their items. TF2G recommends backpack.tf, due to the corruption of the spreadsheet owner, and using it for his own gains (allegedly). Some users don’t use either and check the prices of the items by visiting trading sites, including bazaar.tf, tf2outpost.com, and tf2tp.com.
  5.
  6. >I’ve played enough on TF2 public servers. Where do I go?
  7. Ask around the thread if people are doing a “PUG” or a “pick up game”. Join the group (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/vgsixes) and receive announcements about upcoming games. And I guess there’s this link about Highlander (HL) and 6’s, so here: http://www.ugcleague.com/
  8.
  9. >There seems to be a lot of circlejerking and shitposting going around within the thread.
  10. The best thing you can do is not complain about it and bring up a new topic. The thread is what everyone makes it. If you don’t like it, ignore, filter, move on, and bring something up TF2 related. If it doesn’t work? Try a different topic. Whining about it only makes it worse.
  11. >Are there /vg/ servers?
  12. Yes.
  13. MvM Server:
  14. 84.38.68.48:27015
  15. PW: tf2gbros
  16.
  17. /vg/ fagets:
  18. 208.167.246.102:27015
  19.
  20. Killing Floortress 2 : Electric Boogaloo:
  21. 94.224.148.58:27015
  22.
  23. There are new servers popping up every now again. Just watch the thread for more info.
  24.
  25. >Rate my Jew.
  26. No. Even if you’re excited that you jewed a Cloudy Moon Dapper Topper or a Sunbeams Desert Marauder, keep it to yourself. There are people who lurk the thread waiting for someone to slip up so they can report you. Just keep it to the Steam Chat, please.
  27.
  28. >Post ending in X names the Weapon Y.
  29. While most users do enjoy it, some people don’t like killing the thread to name a Degreaser “Pinky Pyro”. Take it to /v/ if you really need to do this.
  30. 7. Is there an official group I can join?
  31. steamcommunity.com/groups/vghatsgeneral or steamcommunity.com/groups/tf2bazaar are ones most of us are in.
  32.
  33. >I want to be a part of the name log. What do I do?
  34. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ak25YcXcjv5-dG0yVF9SOWhrcWZuU3hvYjBibmNLNmc#gid=0 -- The rough /tf2g/ player list. Steam IDs and locations. Use this to view and the other link to add yourself.
  35. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dG0yVF9SOWhrcWZuU3hvYjBibmNLNmc6MQ -- The form you fill out to get your name in the player list.
  36.
  37. >I want to see what a certain loadout look like before I buy the hats, miscs, and paint. What do I do?
  38. Well, you can try to use itemtest (just make a server with the itemtest map, type “itemtest” into the console, and try different loadouts). You can also get Garry’s Mod, but you’ll have to install a few plug-ins for it to work. Or, use the free Source Filmmaker to test items and classes. If you don’t know how to do any of those or they can’t work for you, I’m sure someone in thread will be happy to help you.

  40. >I have a question about this guide. Who do I contact?
  41. http://steamcommunity.com/id/djoperator
  42. http://steamcommunity.com/id/unrealsalmon/
  43. DJ made the guide, Salmon made the player list. Hats off to them.
  44. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Useful websites~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  45. http://pastebin.com/u/TheOperator- This is a pastebin of class guides made and compiled by DJ Operator. Go here if you want some tips from some of the players in TF2 General.
  46.
  47. wiki.teamfortress.com - New to the game or just coming back? This is a great place to start- has all the weapons, classes, hats, and updates, so if you need info about something come here first.
  48.
  49. Tf2wh.com – selling your items for credits that can be used to buy other things. They are usually overstocked on a lot of things, and the items are usually priced lower than they are in the market.
  50.
  51. Tf2r.com – Raffling site if you’re feeling generous. If you want to raffle just to us, make sure all the little checks at the bottom are to the right.
  52.
  53. gametracker.com/search/tf2 – A listing of all TF2 servers. Just use the search box if you want to find one.
  54.
  55. Tf2tags.com – A fun little site where you can make tagged items. The owner holds a themed contest every month or so and winner gets a prize.
  56.
  57. Tf2gallery.com – Website that has a lot of hats with unusual effects uploaded by users.
