  1. How I found out "BradTheLadLong" is actually Matt Jacobs.
  2.
  3. On Brad's Twitter he linked to a site called www.mediawhispers.com. It was pretty obvious this was his own site, as the only "news" it reported was on him. I did an IPWhois (a check which shows all the information on a web address, like who owns it). This revealed the name "Matt Jacobs."
  4.
  5. From there I searched "Matt Jacobs mediawhispers.com" in Google, which led to a post from the "Media Whispers" Facebook page which tagged someone called "Matt Jacobs." I clicked the link and was brought to Matt Jacobs' profile. Case closed I thought - I posted my evidence on Digital Spy, and tweeted Brad on Twitter of course!
  6.
  7. A few minutes later I received a message on Facebook from Matt, as I had messaged him asking if he was in fact Brad. I got a response saying that it was not him. I asked him about Media Whispers. He said he had owned the site a few years ago and sold it to some guy on a Facebook group in 2012. This was a lie, as according to the IPWhois, the domain name was only registered in February 2014. I told him that if he'd sold the site why was the domain still registered in his name; he said he just gave the kid his username and password.

  9. I then proceeded my line of questioning and Matt eventually told me the guy he sold the page to was a guy called "Jake Smith." I asked him did he know his profile URL; funnily enough it turned out that the Jake Smith Matt sold it to was the first Jake Smith to appear in the Facebook's search results.
  10.
  11. After beginning to suspect that Matt may be telling the truth, I Googled "BradTheLadLong Matt Jacobs" which brought me to Matt's YouTube channel; I saw he'd liked and commented on several videos which were now marked as "Private." Funnily enough, Brad's YouTube videos had all been set to private only a few minutes before this. Maybe this was just a coincidence, so I returned to Google, where I viewed a cached version (older version of the page store by Google) of Matt's YouTube account. Here it showed he had in fact liked, commented and included Brad's videos in playlists of his.
  12.
  13. I approached Matt with this information; he told me he gave his Google account to Jake Smith too. Funny, isn't it, that Jake Smith would go to the bother of taking Matt's (recent) Facebook picture and apply it to the YouTube and Google+ accounts he'd "bought."
  14.
  15. At this point I was 99% sure that Matt was indeed Brad. Adding to the evidence was the fact that once his Facebook page was linked to on Digital Spy he changed his URL; but don't worry, this was posted on DS too :P

  17. Following this, someone posted the fact that I'd discovered Brad's identity on here, and a user posts a link to another Matt Jacobs' Facebook and says that yes, it is probably him; the new Matt Jacobs. Lo and behold, this user had one post and had joined just that day. What he was attempting to do was make everyone think it was a different Matt Jacobs.
  18.
  19. Anyway, I think it has been proven beyond doubt that Matt Jacobs is in fact "BradTheLadLong."

  21. Oh, and if you need one final nail in the coffin, check out his Google+ page: https://plus.google.com/113019662090299506595/posts
  22.
  23. Here are a few links to Matt's pages:

  26. I would post more here, but Matt Jacobs has mysteriously blocked my on Facebook, and changed his name to "Matthew Jacobs" in the process. Also, his YouTube channel has suddenly disappeared. Funny that.
  27.
  28. Here is a link to a few images and screenshots which will backup what I'm saying, even if Matt, or should I call him Matthew, has removed the links: http://imgur.com/a/XX1Bs

  30. Here's the Facebook conversation I had with him: http://pastebin.com/btPu1NQi

  32. For all of those who think I've gone too far, and that I'm as sad as him now; to be honest, you're probably correct. But this guy has done nothing but wind up Big Brother fans, and others of course.
  33.
  34. Let's just hope we don't hear any more rubbish from him again.
