  25. Base Rules
  26. Rule 1: No DDosing, Fly-hacking, Scripting, Speed-hacking, in game exploits, or anything which would give you an unfair advantage over the other team. If this rule is violated the player will be automatically disqualified from the tournament, and the team will automatically lose the game. If this rule is violated more than once the team will be removed from the tournament.
  27. Rule 2: No PvE gear or low level items, players must be in current season gear ONLY.
  28. Rule 3: Tournament rules will be active, so players will need to buy tournament gear from the vendor near Highmaul.
  29. Rule 4: If for any reason a Gamers League representative calls you during a game, you must pick up. This will most likely not happen, but in case of something going wrong, we must have contact with you.

  32. Tournament Policies
  33. Policy on DDosing: It is each player’s responsibility to protect themselves against denial of service attacks. We recommend changing your IP the day before the tournament, and using a different voice communication software other than skype, along with a VPN. If proof of any kind is brought forward that a team participated in Denial of Service attacks throughout the tournament, or that they had someone else do it for them, the team will be automatically disqualified.
  34. Policy on Add-ons: Gamers League permits the use of information displaying add-ons such as Battleground Targets. Third party software which gives a team an unfair advantage will NOT be permitted however.
  35. Policy on Substitutions: Each team may have up to 5 players in total they can substitute in. Teams may change their team compositions at will, however they must stay inside their base 15 player pool. (Ex. If someone plays a warrior and a mage, they may change between these classes at will, however you cannot bring in another player all together who is not registered on your team roster). Teams may not share substitutes.

  40. Violation of any of the Gamers League rules or policies will result in the disqualification of the player, and possibly the team.
  41. Tournament Structure
  42.
  43. Day 1 and Day 2 of the tournament will feature best of 5 matches between US and EU. Teams must win 3 matches in order to advance to worlds. In the event of a tie the match will be replayed on the same map. The first map played will be determined by a random number roll. The winning team will determine the map. The losing team will pick the next map thereafter. Maps may not be repeated, and may only be played once per day.
  44. In addition, after one team has been declared victorious, both teams will play a “Bonus Round.” This bonus round will take place on a map which has never seen competitive play such as Strand of the Ancients, Alterac Valley etc. Both teams will have no prior knowledge of the map, and it will be revealed live on stream. After the reveal, teams will be given 5 minutes to strategize. This round will not count towards the best of 3 needed to advance, however teams will receive additional money for winning. In the event the map is a 40 v 40 players may bring in their 5 additional subs to participate. If for some reason a sub may not participate on one team, the other team must also remove a player to make the match even.
  45. For worlds, the game will be played on either the PTR or the Arena Tournament Realm, depending on what is available at the time. Players will transfer their main characters onto the PTR in advance of the game. Due to latency concerns, players from the United States must equip 2 blue rings instead of epic rings. This is intended to help make the game more even for both teams, as EU will suffer a latency delay.
  46. Worlds will be best of 7, with teams needing to win 4 games to be declared victorious. After worlds a bonus round will be played. Teams will be interviewed after winning their respective tournament, so you will need to be available over Skype or Raidcall. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me over Skype.
