- All these commands and autothings require that you are on your username
- and identified to nickserv. If you use other nicks often, and you want
- full access to your nick that has access please use /nickserv group
- [nick] [password] which [nick] is the nick that's on the access list and
- [password] is the password for that nick. One of the nicest things about
- this is you won't have to identify every time you change from an away
- nick or an alt nick!
- In parts I put what you can do via the services bot. We don't currently
- have one and that's just there so you can better yourself as a mod for
- all channels!
- Voice, Halfop, Op, etc commands can be used even if you or the user
- already has that mode set(or not set for de-command). Yes this is how I
- deop people who are already not oped, steal my joke and...well then users
- don't know who is doing it :V
- VOP(Auto Voice) are by default level 3. They have access to the
- following:
- AUTOVOICE 3
- VOICEME 3
- FANTASIA 3
- What do these commands do?
- AUTOVOICE: When you join you will be given voice(+v)
- VOICEME: If you lose your voice for one reason or another you can have
- chanserv(or the sevices bot) give it to you: Use /chanserv voice
- #channelname [You can also remove it if you want with /chanserv devoice
- #channelname]
- FANTASIA: If there is a services bot(We don't have one currently) this
- allows you use the !seen, !op, !kick, !voice, etc commands(you have to be
- able to use these via chanserv to use them though, so a VOP can't use !
- op)
- HOP(Auto Halfop) are by default level 4. They have access to the
- following:
- AUTOHALFOP 4
- HALFOPME 4
- What do these commands do?
- AUTOHALFOP: When you join you will be given halfop(+h), this is instead
- of voice(+v)
- HALFOPME: If you lose your halfop for one reason or another you can have
- chanserv(or the services bot) give it to you: Use /chanserv halfop
- #channelname [You can also remove it if you want with /chanserv dehalfop
- #channelname]
- AOP(Auto Operator) are by default level 5! They have access to the
- following:
- AUTOOP 5
- BAN 5
- BANME 5
- GETKEY 5
- HALFOP 5
- KICK 5
- KICKME 5
- INVITE 5
- OPDEOP 5
- OPDEOPME 5
- UNBAN 5
- VOICE 5
- GREET 5
- SAY 5
- What do these commands do?
- AUTOOP: When you join you will be given operator(+o), this is instead of
- voice(+v) or halfop(+h)
- BAN: You can use chanserv to ban AND kick users instead of using your
- client: Use /chanserv ban #channelname [user/mask/etc] reason
- BANME: You can ban yourself. Why? I don't know. /chanserv ban
- #channelname(there is no need to put your own username)
- GETKEY: If the channel requires a keyword to enter(+k) you can request
- the key so you can join: /chanserv getkey #channelname
- HALFOP: This command allows you to set other users as a halfop:
- /chanserv halfop #channelname [user]
- KICK: You can use chanserv to kick a user instead of your client. if
- Signkick is on(It is) you will have your message appended with (your
- username) at the end: /chanserv kick #channelname user [reason]
- KICKME: You can kick yourself. I use it for comedy reasons: /chanserv
- kick #channelname (no need to say you're the user being kicked unless you
- want to have a reason after it)
- INVIte: If you're banned, the channel is invite only(+i), or keyworded
- (+k) you can have chanserv invite you into the channel, bypassing all
- that noise: /chanserv invite #channelname [This command can only be used on
- yourself, you cannot invite other users via chanserv]
- OPDEOP: This allows you to op or deop users in the channel: /chanserv op
- #channelname user || /chanserv deop #channelname user
- OPDEOPME: Same as OPDEOP, but this allows you to do this to yourself:
- /chanserv op #channelname || /chanserv deop #channelname
- UNBAN: If you're banned in the channel this will unban you: /chanserv
- unban #channelname [THis can only be used on yourself, you have to manually
- remove a ban on another user]
- VOICE: Allows you to voice or devoice a user in the channel using
- chanserv: /chanserv voice #ponygoon user | /chanserv devoice #ponygoon
- user
- GREET: If you have a greeting set on nickserv [/nickserv set greet [words
- you want here], and the channel has GREET turned on(by the founder) your
- greeting will be said on joining.
- SAY: Allows you to use /botserv say and /botserv act. Useless without a
- services bot.
- SOP(little debate on this, Super Operator seems to be the most accepted
- term) are by default level 10. THey have access to the following:
- AUTOPROTECT 10
- ACC-CHANGE 10
- AKICK 10
- PROTECTME 10
- MEMO 10
- BADWORDS 10
- What do these commands do?
- AUTOPROTECT: When you join you will be given protected(+a), this is ON
- TOP OF operator(+o) but instead of voice(+v) and halfop.
- ACC-CHANGE: You can change(or add, delete) access of other users. This
- is only usable if xOP is turned off, and you can only add them to a level
- lower than yourself(IE: level 10 can only make level 9s and cannot change
- level 10s or higher).
- AKICK: You have access to the akick command. Akick will autokick and ban
- users on join of the channel if the nick/mask/whatever matches. It's a
- bit involved, for more info /chanserv help akick
- PROTECTME: If your protected status goes away for one reason or another
- you can put it back on(or take it off) with this command: /chanserv
- protect #channelname || /chanserv deprotect #channelname
- MEMO: This allows you to check the memos for the channel via memoserv:
- /memoserv read #channelname
- BADWORDS: This allows you to add or remove badwords from the badword
- list. This requires a services bot and is a bit involved for more info:
- /botserv help badwords
- The following commands aren't set under xOP or Levels + Access by
- default(This means you can't use them, unless you are founder or using
- the password)
- SIGNKICK (disabled)
- SET (disabled)
- CLEAR (disabled)
- INFO (disabled)
- PROTECT (disabled)
- TOPIC (disabled)
- ASSIGN (disabled)
- What do these commands do?
- SIGNKICK: If you are above this level on the access list, your chanserv
- kicks and bans will not have (yourusername) at the end, even if the
- channel has signkick turned on.
- SET: Allows you to adjust different settings under set. These are
- usually only adjusted by the owner of the channel, also involved.
- /chanserv help set
- CLEAR: Allows you to clear users/modes/bans/etc. Has some weird side
- effects on some commands. More info: /chanserv help clear
- INFO: This allows you access to the full info about a channel: use
- /chanserv info #channelname all
- PROTECT: Allows you to set or remove the protect status on other users.
- Turned off by default to users because owners tend to the users who set
- or unset this. /chanserv protect #channelname user || /chanserv deprotect
- #channelname users
- TOPIC: Allows you to use chanserv to set the topic. Gets past topic
- locks, and channel mode +t(halfops and higher only set the topic) if you
- have access but aren't currently a halfop or higher.
- ASSIGN: Gives you access to assign a services bot to the channel: use
- /botserv botlist to see the list of services bots you can add, then
- /botserv assign #channelname botname to add to channel.
- The following is basically just being on the access list(xOP doesn't have
- anyone set at this user level):
- ACC-LIST 1
- NOKICK 1
- What do these commands do?
- ACC-LIST: You can see the access list. /chanserv access #ponygons list.
- Useless with xOP on.
- NOKICK: You will not be kicked from the channel if the channel is
- restricted, or restricted mode is enforced.
- The following is the "shit list" level. Basically if you're on this list
- bad things happen:
- AUTODEOP -1
- NOJOIN -2
- What do these commands do?
- AUTODEOP: If this user is given any form of power chanserv will instantly
- strip it :iceburn:
- NOJOIN: User can't join the channel. Like a ban, but not as useful under
- most circumstances (has to be a registered username/group)
