  1. Drazix Mistclaw is a surprisingly enterprising lizardfolk. Large, even for his already large race he was the son of the Mistclaw Chieftain and was set to take his father's place when he passed on the the Great Swamp. however that plan was ruined due to his father's pride. Drazix, as mentioned was very enterprising for a lizardfolk which was almost unheard of for the xenophobic race. After the catastrophe in Katapesh. the nations chief export, Pesh. became extremely hard to get due to the natural surroundings cutting Katapesh from their normal trade route. Enter Drazix, who had heard on visits about the trouble that befell Katapesh. Knowing the Mwangi expanse well and being mostly unhindered by the terrain, Drazix recruited a clutch of his most trusted scouts and warriors to travel through the jungles to Katapesh in order to establish a new trade route that he and the Mistclaw tribe would reap all the profits from. His first few runs went smoothly. However one night his father the chieftain had gotten wind of what Drazix was doing. The chieftain confronted his son about it, saying that their kind had no place in the dealings of humans, He exiled his son from the clan. Unable to continue making runs on his own he travelled west from his home. Ending up in the lawless pirate filled coast known as The Shackles. Specifically a small island which held the city of Drenchport, Drazix did his best to sell the stock he had managed to get from Katapesh, but found it was incredibly hard to get these humans to look at him normally, let alone buy things from him. He had no idea why, in his tribe he was considered one of the most ideal mates a lizardess could want and he was a valuable mentor to the adolescent males and hatchlings alike.
  2. After a few weeks Drazix had gotten tired of the soft warmbloods avoiding him and he made a decision. He needed to find someone to represent him in these sales, someone less...big than he was. The Waterlizard must have been smiling upon Drazix that day becasuse during the following week, after scouring the docks of the small city he encountered something he never imagined was even possible, A sailing ship made of strange green stone that still stayed afloat. he wanted to get a closer look at this strange vessel so he did what any lizardfolk would do. He took a deep breath and dove in to the water, the thin lenses behind his eyes sealing so he could see unhindered in the water as he circled the ship, he had just finished his first pass when something strange happened. He heard a woman's voice in his head. asking him what he was doing circling her ship. Hearing the strange voice the lizard man would surface and look around before climbing aboard the ship and calling out to whoever invaded his mind.- "Show yourself now Warmblood and Drazix will spare you the sting of his blades." -he heard the woman reply with something about that not being anyway to treat a lady on her ship and just scoffed. before turning to face the woman. Drazix would squint a little bit as he looked her up and down, If Drazix hadn't known better he almost would have guessed she was some sort of ghost with how pale she was. He walked closer closer, his taloned feet clicking along the strange stone deck of the ship.- "Drasix was unaware that swimming around ships wasn't allowed. I simply wished to view such a peculiar vessel from a closer distance." -he'd look around a bit and frown.- "It's a nice ship, but it looks a little banged up. Drazix knows where to get things to fix your boat....for a price. Drazix will help you with your odd green boat and you will help Drazix with a problem he has." -the lizardfolk then explained his problem trying to offload his product in this area and enlisted to pretty ghost child to help him by acting as the face of this operation. She eventually agreed and Drazix immediately set about holding up his end of the bargain and dove into the water, searching for supplies the best place he knew to look, Shipwrecks, that wasn't the only place mind you, timber from shipwrecks was often too waterlogged to help, besides, what good were timbers to a ship made of stone. So Drazix hunted the supplies needed, if they needed to be purchased he would inform the woman whose name he learned was Kayla, and send her to do the bargaining as she seemed much better with words. Eventually the two became fast friends as they repaired the ship, though truth be told Kayla did the majority of the actual repairs while Drazix just did the heavy lifting. Drazix did however convince her to add a hidden space on the ship which he could use for transport od illicit goods.
  3. They remained for a while in the Shackles after the repairs finished, long enough for Drazix to make a single run to Katapesh and back before they sailed out. He didn't know where they were headed, but knew that the market for Pesh was high everywhere at the moment. They traveled for quite a few months, getting word eventually of a grand party to be held in Absalom. Drazix knew little of the place other than that ist was supposedly the greatest city in the world or something like that. Drazix figured that would bean excellent site to peddle his wares adn the two set a course there. Eventually arriving after several months of travel He set to work to locate the proper venue for selling these sort of goods, and he found it quickly along the famous Red Silk Route. It was there the lizard set to make his fortune peddling what he could, usually drugs or other easy to conceal contraband.
