Item management basically is the most complex thing to do and the key for speedrunning Re:Digitize. It's not a big issue for NG+, you can farm anything and use password items as well. Some items "walkthrough" here are related to Digivolving as well..

Quick Items Recap
* Small Recovery: the first aid items. Only cost 100 bit and easily hit 99x pcs each restock.
* MP Floppy: read above. Since we are not restoring MP as much as HP you can safely stock 40x pcs and not worrying to restock it until less than 10.
* Medium Recovery: end-game healing items for sure. Due to price, I'm not stocking so much but definitely you want around 20-30 pcs for final battles (maybe more if you're not mashing small recovery for healing)
* Regen Floppy: Oh man I love this item. A must buff for your Digimon. This item recovers your Digimon's HP by 200 every 3 seconds and applied 10 times. Sounds low? No. Say if your Digimon lose 4500 HP in 30 seconds, this means you'll need 3x med recov or 9x small recov to heal your Digimon. If you use 1x Regen Floppy, you will get 2000 HP back + you can still heal your digimon with items. So you only need 1x med recov or 5x small recov to cover your damage. Price comparison 3x med recov = 1500 bit while 1x regen floppy + 5x small recov/1 med recov = 700 bit. I personally stock this around 30 pcs.
* Offense Plugin: optional items, but nice to boost damage (specifically for finishers). Keep in mind you should only give around 3 plugins only. You can also give this item to your tag partner.
* Restore/Super Restore: A must have item in mid-game until end to revive your Digimon. Some end-game boss can one-shot you so keep stocked these items. If you can manage battles in good phase, 5x Restore is enough even for final battles.
* Various: recover status effects/debuffs. Unfortunately unlike in DW1 this item is kinda limited. Impmon only accessible in certain game clock (mainly evening) and it's more expensive than DW1 offer. So use this item wisely, you want this item at least 10 pcs for final battles. Thankfully, you can get some Various free from Colosseum.
* Meat and foods in general: feeding your Digimon for breeding purpose.
* Double Floppy: 1500 heal both HP and MP. I personally only use this in final battles and you get 10x pcs free from Colosseum, so no need to buy these from the shop.
* Bandage and Auto Pilot: your life depends on them. You can get injured by suffering big damage in this game. So keeping bandage on stock is important.
* Loots (Digi mushrooms etc that you found on the ground): Even Digimushrooms can be sold for money, so pick any loots you can for more money.

Items walkthrough any%
* Day 1 (after Jijimon): Buy 1x Auto Pilot, Rest Money for Meat
* Day 2: pick meats before day ends (refer to Digivolve notes)
* Day 3
pick meats, finish plain's memoria stella. Sell 2x Restore, Buy 7x MP Floppy, 2x Bandage, 2x Auto Pilot, Rest money for Small Rec. Pick Gabumon's mail (3x Small Reco+MP).

Swamp: Pick item near toilet (Guil's sub-quest), restock small reco+Bandage on vending machine +5x Meat (buy 3x MP Floppy if Spread Bomb/Fire Tower learned).Pick Greymon's mail before Gatomon. Feed Offense Chip. Restock in vending machine after Gatomon fight (same format as before Gatomon fight)

After Swamp: Sell Digicore, loots (mushrooms etc). Buy 2x Auto Pilot, 2x Bandage, MP Floppy until 15 pcs. Buy Small Reco until 1000-1300 Bit left. Buy 20x Meat. Get 6x fish on sea ruins (see my recruitments note)

* Day 4 - Day 5
Clear sewer then pick Giant Meat + Buy 10x giant meat as well. Repeat on next day (no need buy giant meats except you forgot)

* Day 6
Pick Giant Meat. Pick Garu and Imp's mail. Sell DV items, food (beside meat+giant meats). Buy 99x Small reco, 2x auto pilot+Bandage, MP until 40-50, 1x Restore. Move Restore and Various to bottom slot of your items. Refer to my colosseum note (in short: fight Taichi) to unlock Sora next day.

* Day 7
Pick Giant Meat and buy some until 10 pcs. Monzaemon's shop should be here now. Buy 5x Carrot and 3x Radish for training purpose. Refer to my colosseum note and you'll get bunch items from 1F (Restore x5, Various, Med reco etc). There's more like Speed Chip/Fruit, but they're gonna be used/fed to your Digimon.

After colosseum: Sell foods (non meats/sirloin, carrot/radish), Bandage DX. Pick Biyomon's mail.

* Day 8
After 20F colosseum: Sell Plugin S. buy 3x Auto Pilot, 11x Regen floppy, Bandage (if needed), 8-11x offense plugin. rest at Angemon, Buy 2x Various.

Day 9 onward will be explained on Day 10's fate....
