  1. Radical/Kanji study via Anki
  2.
  3. ---Recognition---
  4. Recognition cards have the kanji on the front and the meaning on the back. The idea is to develop the ability to recognise kanji when you see them. Easier but less effective.
  5.
  6. ---Recall---
  7. Recall cards have the meaning on the front and the kanji on the back. The idea is to develop the ability to produce kanji at will from memory. These cards should be used with a pen and paper in hand so you can write out your answers. Harder but more effective.
  8.
  9. If you are using a pre-made Anki deck which comes with both Recognition and Recall cards, suspend the type which you don't want to use.
