Today, I'm coordinating my quills, forms and checklists for the next Winter Wrap Up in my peaceful, quiet library. Spike is being a huge help in this re-coordination, thankfully. Or I hope he is. His complains about my early preparation is baffling, at the very least. If he paid any attention to Ponyville's first successful Winter Wrap Up, the amount of corners I had to cut to manage such a large event on such a short notice.....

I don't want to think about it anymore. That will be my very first and last rushed Winter Wrap Up management. Ever.

"Oh Spiiiiiiike! It's nearly lunch hour now, be quick with the items or you won't get any blood diamonds!"

"TWILIGHT, IT'S STILL JUNE! Can't I take an afternoon nap in peace? There's still timemrmurmur..."

"There is absolutely nothing wrong with preparing as early as we can for a community-wide event of that scale, Spike. We have to be as up to date with the pegasus grand centralized weather calendar as possible, and as early as possible. Knowing Dash, she might even plan for a snow storm of the century just to make winter look awesome this year!"

"As far as I know, she doesn't have the authority to do something like that. Relax, Twilight. Enjoy the summer while it lasts. Ahhhh, sweepy...."

Spike's attempts to be tardy will never cease to amaze me.

Still, he's correct. It IS too early for me to prepare for an end-of-winter event right now. It's obvious, even to me! I can prepare for the event in the middle of the Winter Wrap Up day itself and still have the management efficiency at an optimal rate, even if the efficiency will be 2.55731% less than a perfect set-up! I know that, I know...

But it's the middle of summer. And you know what that means.

I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO IN THIS FREAKING HEAT!

Celestia damn it all to Heck.

It's 12:31AM, and I'm burning on this table. We've had no visitors to the library since this morning, and the boredom is killing me. Somepony, anypony, release me from this torture. Bring me the joyful cheers of cool and warm breeze, I'm tired of this super-warmth of the Celestia-damned sun.

Did Spike just burp?

"Spike, is that a letter for me?"

There's a minor crashing sound upstairs, and Spike peeks down at me from above the flight of stairs. I think he's whispering something to me.

"I'm okay..."

Spike worries me sometimes with his random bout of clumsiness.

"Spike, read me the letter."

"...can I read it later, Twilight? I'm being cooked into a crisp under these scales...."

If I'm not as tired as I am right now, a facehoof will be my most viable option.

"You're a dragon and you swam in lava at one point. The light of a mere fireball sitting billions of miles away from us could totally be your ultimate demise..."

"Sorry Twilight, what was that? My sarcasm detector wasn't on..."

"I mean.....ah, forget it. Just give me the letter."

"Ready or not, here it comes!"

I have a feeling that he'll throw the letter at m--owww.

"SPIKE!"

I was about to get up and confront Spike for throwing the letter to me, but my tiredness won over. Instead, I floated the letter just in front of my eyes before taking a look at its content. What might be the matter this time?
