  1. SHE'S A BURLESQUE DANCER AND YOU'D THINK WHY A PRESTIGIOUS SCHOOL SUCH AS HOPE'S PEAK ACADEMY WOULD ACCEPT SOMETHING THAT COULD TAINT ITS REPUTATION??? WELL, IT'S NOT SO MUCH THAT SHE IS ASSOCIATED WITH A PLACE AS DAINTY AS A BURLESQUE, but that she's p dang good at it and she's real good at pleasing the crowd since burlesque is all about crowd pleasing!
  2. She grew up with parents who were inadequate to care for a child, her mother and father sharing a rigid relationshop with each other and as a result, it carried over to Carlotta and affected her self-esteem. She was a subject to their verbal and physical torment, not seen as someone to vent their aggression to but as something to violently lash at. Her parents were not the most responsible w/ money and had divorced when she was of good age, that her father's side would be the one to gain and direct most of the family funds (which they had little to begin with, it's what initiated the feud). Her mother, however, had been overcome by an intangible state of depression to a further degree, wasting most of their minimum income on drinking and less relevant resources. Her mother was unable to support Carlotta's tuition/insurance so Carlotta frantically sought for work, fearing the worst for herself and not so much her mother (they had never been on good terms.) and carrying the burden her parents augmented on her birthright.
  3. Carlotta had assets of that of a lady's since the dawn of Tweenhood, her striking beauty aiding her into some form of labor. She was found by a man who happened to be staff for cheap-running theatre and was invited to work there. Carlotta then found her first line of work at some variant of a cabaret where she would be expected to perform and collaborate with the other leading ladies. With that she was set to rise up on the echelon, but in the back of her mind it was overcome with the mantra of "you're not good enough", "you can't do it.", a mindset which she adopted from her parent/s. She self-taught herself how to dance and essentially use a pole, but that'd ultimately failed multiple times. She was very shy and frigid, which wasn't a significant facet during a performance. Eventually, she tried hard to match up with the rest of the cast who would taunt her for her stunted experience and she spent days in relapse, consequentially adopting a "new" persona to cope with her own doubtful thinking/manifest some reminiscence of perseverance. The ideals of being seen "perfect" fascinated her and served her drive and motivation, as told by the internal "avatar". It remained something she strove for since, the basis for such convoluted thinking by being constantly scrutinized by her mother in the long run.
  4. Soon it'd develop from something subconscious into a gradual fluctuation of what she dreamed of being since the beginning. The fluctuation soon became external manifestation, from feeble to contemporary flirtation. She soon became a sensation, applying for dinner shows, cabarets, and ultimately burlesque activities. She had a good handle of her lustful attitudes and used it at whim, but her persona lingered. She moved to Japan after scrounging enough money, after booking a slot there. She was soon detected one way or another by Hope's Peak, as Burlesque is seen as an artistic way to show her body rather than to stimulate the audience's sexual pleasures in her eyes.
