  125. - JAPANESE Emerald : Add Energy Root x001 between Harbor Mail and Orange Mail.
  126.
  127. - All of the items (except the ones that follow) can be bought somewhere in Hoenn. Use serebii/bulbapedia to know where.
  128. Heart Scale is held by wild Luvdisc (50% chance) (Ever Grande, Super Rod, 30%)
  129.
  130. 1.4) Last precautions
  131. Empty Day Care.
  132. Empty Boxes 1 and 2.
  133. Check up if you have all the Glitch Items you need in PC, and if PC Items are all here.
  134. Save.
  135. Clone all the Pokémon holding the Code Items. Move all copies in another Box. This way you can use these Glitch Items for multiple code executions.
  136. Save.
  137. You can now proceed to the next steps.
  138.
  139.
  140. 2) Rough Look at the Duplication procedure
  141. -If the target quantity is between 0x0001-0x0063 :
  142. Convert the quantity in decimal.
  143. Clone the Pokémon holding the Code Item enough times. Withdraw the Code Item from all clones, then deposit the Code Item in PC.
  144. 0x0001 -> target quantity
  145.
  146. -If the target quantity is between 0x0064-0x4001 :
  147. Place the Code Item above Dire Hit, then wait for a Bad Egg with 001/074 HP during the setup.
  148. The Code Item will be duplicated. (+0x4000 exemplaries)
  149. Toss the exceeding amount. (toss stacks of 1.000 exemplaries to make things easier)
  150. 0x0001 -> 0x4001 -> target quantity
  151.
  152. -If the target quantity is 0x0000 or between 0x4002 - 0xFFFF :
  153. Place the Code Item between Revive and Super Potion, then wait for a Bad Egg with 001/074 HP during the setup. Let that Bad Egg die.
  154. The Code Item Quantity will be decreased to 0000.
  155. Toss 1 exemplary of your item. (Its quantity underflows to 0xFFFF)
  156. Toss the exceeding amount. (toss stacks of 1.000 exemplaries to make things easier)
  157. 0x0001 -> 0x0000 -> 0xFFFF -> target quantity
  158.
  159. Once a Code Item has the right Quantity, move it above Harbor Mail to order it.
  160. Once all Code Items are duplicated and placed, your code is ready.
  161.
  162.
  163. 3) Duplication procedure for Code Items
  164. Now that you have every Code Item waiting in PC, have cloned the Pokémon holding the Code Items, have the Duplication Glitch Pokémon, and the PC Items setup, you are ready to duplicate your Code Items and place them.
  165.
  166. - This procedure will allow you to duplicate one Item at a time. This means that you will have to redo it multiple times.
  167. You need to follow the order of the Code Items in the ACE list (start by Code Item N°1, then N°2, then N°3,...)
  168.
  169. - Here is the duplication procedure for step number n.
  170. 3.1) Moving Code Item N°n in PC.
  171. ~ If the desired quantity of Code Item N°n is between 0x0001 and 0x0063.
  172. Clone the Pokémon who holds Code Item N°n enough times.
  173. Withdraw the copies of Code Item N°n. The amount of Code Items N°n in your Bag must be the desired quantity.
  174. Deposit the stack of Code Item N°n in PC.
  175. Move the stack of Code Item N°n above Harbor Mail.
  176. - This Code Item is now placed. You can now restart part 3) with Code Item N°(n+1).
  177.
  178. ~ If the desired quantity of Code Item N°n is between 0x0064 and 0x4001.
  179. - Withdraw Code Item N°n from the PC Pokémon who holds it.
  180. - Deposit Code Item N°n in PC.
  181. - Move Code Item N°n above Dire Hit.
  182.
  183. ~ If the desired quantity of Code Item N°n is 0x0000 or between 0x4002 and 0xFFFF.
  184. - Withdraw Code Item N°n from the PC Pokémon who holds it.
  185. - Deposit Code Item N°n in PC.
  186. - Move Code Item N°n between Revive and Super Potion.
  187.
  188. 3.2) Performing the Item Duplication
  189. - Obtain one Invisible Bad Egg using the Cloning Glitch Pokémon.
  190. - Have 10 Revive, 10 X Attack, Balls, Fluffy Tails.
  191. - Make a party with : KO Duplication Glitch Pokémon - KO Pokémon #1 - Pokémon with Fly
  192. Take a weak Pokémon for Pokémon #1. (One that is easy to KO)
  193. - Fly to Slateport.
  194. - Save.
  195.
  196. - Go to the Pokémon Center and open your PC.
  197. - Find back the location of the Invisible Bad Egg.
  198. - Grab a Pokémon and swap it with the second Invisible Bad Egg.
  199. - Swap the second Invisible Bad Egg with the Pokémon with Fly. (This is Decaswitch)
  200. - Deposit the Fly Pokémon in a PC Box.
  201. Now your party is : KO Duplication Glitch Pokémon - KO Pokémon #1 - Invisible Bad Egg
  202. - Go to Slateport's Pokefan Club and go near the journalist.
  203. - Save.
  204. /!\ If the duplication is unsuccessful, you will have to reset and restart from there. /!\
  205.
  206. - Talk to the journalist.
  207. This writes the species name of the Duplication Glitch Pokémon, which messes up the value of the "Party Slot of the last fighting Pokémon".
  208. - Hit B, then exit the PokéFan Club.
  209. - Open your party and switch the "Duplication Glitch Pokémon" with the Pokémon #1.
  210. - Go at Route 110 and make a wild battle.
  211.
  212. ~ If the desired quantity of Code Item N°n is between 0x0064 and 0x4001 :
  213. - The duplication will be successful when you will send a Bad Egg with 001/074 HP. (The Remaining HP and Max HP must exactly be these values)
  214. If you don't send a Bad Egg with 001/074 HP, reset and try again. (1/32 success chance)
  215. - Now, use a Fluffy Tail and flee.
  216. - Go to PC, grab the Fly Pokémon, and swap it with the second Invisible Bad Egg.
  217. - Save.
  218. Now, your Code Item has been duplicated. Its quantity has increased from 0x0001 to 0x4001.
  219. Wood Mail quantity has been corrupted too, but don't mind it.
  220.
  221. ~ If the desired quantity of Code Item N°n is 0x0000 or between 0x4002 and 0xFFFF :
  222. - The duplication will be successful when you will send a Bad Egg with 001/074 HP. (The Remaining HP and Max HP must exactly be these values)
  223. If you don't send a Bad Egg with 001/074 HP, reset and try again. (1/32 success chance)
  224. - Use a Revive on the Pokémon that appears in the second party slot.
  225. If you switched Duplication Glitch Pokémon with Pokémon #1, it should be Pokémon #1.
  226. Else, it will be Duplication Glitch Pokémon. (It is not an issue if it is revived, but it is harder to KO it again than Pokémon #1 since it is at Lv 100.)
  227. Due to the Bad Egg, the party has been messed up and the Invisible Bad Egg disappeared.
  228. - If the wild Pokémon didn't kill you, use X Attacks until he kills you.
  229. - Once the Bad Egg is killed, flee.
  230. - Go back to PC, grab the Fly Pokémon and swap it with the second Invisible Bad Egg.
  231. - Go make another wild battle to kill the Weak Pokémon.
  232. - Save.
  233. Now, your Code Item has been duplicated. Its quantity has decreased from 0x0001 to 0x0000.
  234. Wood Mail and Dire Hit quantities have been corrupted too, but don't mind it.
  235.
  236.
  237. 3.3) Manipulate the Code Item quantity
  238. ~ If the desired quantity of Code Item N°n is 0x0000 :
  239. - Code Item N°n already has a quantity of 0x0000 thanks to step 3.2).
  240. You can go to step 3.4)
  241.
  242. ~ If the desired quantity of Code Item N°n is between 0x0064 and 0x4001 :
  243. The Current Quantity of Code Item N°n is 0x4001 = 16.385.
  244. ~ If the desired quantity of Code Item N°n is between 0x4002 and 0xFFFF :
  245. - Toss one exemplary of that Code Item to make its quantity underflow. (0x0000 -> 0xFFFF)
  246. The Current Quantity of Code Item N°n is now 0xFFFF = 65.535
  247.
  248. - Convert the Desired Quantity of Code Item N°n in decimal. (the one in the ACE list)
  249. Calculate : Toss Quantity = Current Quantity - Desired Quantity.
  250. Make an euclidian division of Toss Quantity by 1.000. Toss Quantity = 1.000*(Quotient) + Remainder.
  251.
  252. - Toss groups of 1.000 exemplaries of the Code Item "Quotient" times.
  253. (1.000 appears as ?00 in the game, right after 999)
  254. Then, toss "Remainder" exemplaries one time.
  255. Your Code Item N°n will now be in "Desired Quantity" exemplaries.
  256. - Save.
  257.
  258. /!\ Use something to count the amount of times you've tossed 1.000 exemplaries of the Item !
  259. If you toss too much or too few items, you'll end up with an incorrect quantity.
  260. If you are unsure of the amount of times you've tossed 1.000 exemplaries, you can reset and try again. (You saved after completing step 3.2) )
  261.
  262. - ex : Current Quantity = 0xFFFF, Desired Quantity = 0x547D.
  263. Toss Quantity = 0xFFFF - 0x547D = 0xAB82 = 43.906 (decimal)
  264. 43.906 = 1.000*43 + 906
  265.
  266. Thus, I will toss 43 groups of 1.000 exemplaries of that Code Item then toss 906 exemplaries of that Code Item, in order to end up with 0x547D exemplaries.
  267.
  268.
  269. 3.4) Moving Code Item N°n
  270. - Once Code Item N°n has the Desired Quantity, move it above Harbor Mail.
  271. - Save.
  272. This Code Item is now placed. You can now restart part 3) with Code Item N°(n+1).
  273.
  274. - Once you have duplicated all your Code Items and placed them all, your code is ready.
  275. Here, you don't need to remove the preliminary Items as they are all after your Code Items.
  276.
  277.
  278. 4) Extras
  279. 4.1) Removing an existing Code
  280. - Remove all the Glitch Items below Harbor Mail.
  281. - Save.
  282.
  283. 4.2) Modifying an already existing Code
  284. With this procedure, it is easy to modify an already existing code.
  285. ~ If you want to remove Code Item N°n, remove the Glitch Item at PC Item slot N°n.
  286. ~ If you want to add a Code Item between Code Item N°n and Code Item N°(n+1), duplicate that Code Item with steps 3.1), 3.2), 3.3), and then move it at PC Item slot N°(n+1). Save.
  287. In Emerald, modifying an already existing Code will rarely happen though.
  288.
