“The main weapon we have is this.....” Araceon pull out a rune in a gar oozing and bubling corrupted dark energy. The ichor itself was slaming into the glass trying to break free but to no avail. “This is essence of Sareen, with this we can program the rune to not only target undead but to COPLELY banish them, this will be in conjuction with the banishment spell that we will construct.” Araceon stripped down to his boxers as the room around them began to heat up, the soot and ash began to blow about as the flames of the forge began to roar.

“We shall begin now” Araceon placed the iron runes inside of the crucibal and handed Ashley 3 runic tablets designed to take in mana.

Once your finished with this we will discuss the kind of runes that those tables will be linked with to make a runic poem. Right now I have to get the metal ready, and I have to temper this blue mercury quickly. Its a very poisonous liquid when its heated so I’ve been keeping it in a special container. This metal will allow the machine to be self sustaining once activated, the shifting of the metal inside will generate loose mana that will help keep the machine running.

Araceon began to churn the boiling steel and used his gravity magic to filter out impurities. The blazing flame of the kiln began to grow into a purple shade as the flames grew in intensity. He looked at Ashley with hopeful but concerned eyes. “Ashley, I know things have been really tough over the past couple of year, but with our work that we are doing, we can win this battle and end this Regime once and for all.”

Araceon pull out the the casting mold that would be the bed of the steel once it came out of the crucibal. He floated the jar of mercury and place it close to the flame, it was going to need to be heated for it to begin the purification process. “Lightning magic is one of the best magic’s to use for making powerful runes. The mold for the base will be layered with sustaning runs and runes of flowing energy. Fehun and Derpiz, together the runes will be projected outward slightly, but we will need to make a set of more runs to make the range of that projection as long as possible. “

Then surrounding her... and looking down, the whites of her eyes started glowing red and a bit of a grim, twisted smile covering her face, as suddenly a red sort of glow filled the room. Hellstorm lightning connecting and enchancing her circuits. Controling. Empowering her sheer energy and power... and setting the runes down and kneeling infront of them... she clasped her hands together, pulling them out... instead of the typical, blue field of mana though, it was... different. Like a raging storm of lighting between them with a black and red glow, bringing them down to envelop the runes, the light suddenly dispersing as a precise current of depravity and dark energies suddenly started to charge into them and saturate them in occultist magics...

"Very well then. Quite accurate and convenient that you would need something like this... lightning is quite a good conductor for Mana, as well as many other sorts of energies... an excelent conductor for both light and dark sorts of magics, as well as quite a bit of other theoretical use could be there... don't know much of runes, but I certainly can charge them with energy..." she said... looking. There was a consistant surge and charge of energy to them now, but they weren't getting much power... because she was wanting to secure this accurate bridge...

Any sort of extra sort of effect I might or should be trying to do besides imprint and add as much power as I can?" she called... the energies and powers around her vibrant. Glowing. Powerful... but not going wild. None of it would. Her control was... about as perfect as one could get... a result of killing Lazuli on accident. She held and stopped every other bit of research or study... training relentlessly. Not a si ngle spark would fly off and so m uch as hit an object nearby, or interupt Rei... all focused singularly upon their task, and Ashley's gaze as well, looking to the runes and the lightning enveloping them. [17:58:59] Now that his eyes could see the world as it truly was.....it was a sight that was not always pretty. As he worked on churning the steel in the crucible he watched as Ashley lose herself in her self hatred. He watched as the ichor of depravity latch onto the runes given to her, the blood red energy flowing from her body forcing the rune to trigger and spark. As she spoke the color of her depravity began to grow darker and darker, he watched it run through her mana circuits and flood her body with its poison.

To ask someone to do this, to ask someone to walk a road of despair broke Araceon’s heart, but he knew that this work needed to be done. With each passing minute he inched closer to Ashley as her body began to fill with her blackened emotions. As he looked at her face his body began to writh in retaliation forcing him into his cosmic energy form. With each wave of depravity that pulsed through his body his energy grew tighter and tighter, he could feel Vasarous’s anticipation creep up on him like a virus, but he quelled his instinct to kill darkness.

“Alright Ashley, pull back, thats enough for now you did a good job.” His he spoke his voice was slowly beginning to echo the voice of Vasarous. As the liquid metal began to glow white hot in color, he knew the ores were ready to be fix into steel. He poured the metal into the casting mold he turned to Ashley explaning each rune’s function to her.

“On the edge of the cast we will use the WUUJO rune, the run of joy, what this does is project energy normally through positive emotion. Once the mana travels towards the exodus etching joy runes have a tendency to project its energy in VERY long ranges, since it moves so quickly. We will combine this run with JERA rune, a rune of Harvest, this rune combind with Jera will force the energy to be selective with its targets, the energy will run through the depraved runes making depravity a criteria for the selection. The last rune that it will be combine with is a Laguz rune, the rune of flow. This rune will make the energy flow continuously on the path that we set it on, in a circle. The machine will have a restraint rune ring that will force the energy to be contained to the point of explosion. When it reaches that point, the machine will activate flowing the mana through the banishing runes that will be made later once we get notes and banished depravity. “

“We will need those notes so that we can make sure that it targets UNDEAD ONLY.”

Stopping this then..." she said, the lightning stoppingit's channeling upon the circuits... depravity rather quickly dissipating from the room, her l ightning soon just being a 'weak' red tint o nce more, and with a sigh ending her charges upon her... nodding and sighing. "...So, basically, between the three runes, it will basically make the future runes have it's targets long ranged, a future rune will have to be added at least to aim only at the undead, or only effect the undead, and it has to be strong and widespread enough... on paper this sounds good so far..." she muttered, crossing her arms and nodding...

She stood up rather simply, wiping her eyes of a few tears, and looking just as she always does... a little tired, but as is, looking just as she was... the thoughts didn't stop. They never stopped... she just learned through the years to control the mana and make it not be generated as is... with a simple nod, she looked to him flat and seriously. "...So, that's the process I guess. I'm no rune writer so... that'll be on you mostly. How long do you think we'll have till we get the notes..." she asked, reaching into her bag and pulling out a book of notes... flipping through them simply...

"...Because I'll admit: I copied and took notes on the ones Wynne left in Danarium. They're basic, and missing quite a few of the most vital things... but for the very basic concepts...." she muttered, sighing and looking at it...

[18:46:46] Araceon floated the depraved runes over to the shelves with the other ores. He looked over to the casting mold as the metal began to cool down from it’s current state in matter. Araceon took the casting from the mold and floated it over to the tank of water. As he dunked the mold into the water a vat of steam rose into the air, filling the room with the sweet aroma of newly made steal.

“Alright Ashley, we are going to need to wait a while for the metal to cool and harden so we can shape it and begin to etch in the runes, its gonna be a bit, but this weapon will be ready in no time, as long as we work hard.”

Her body was still reeking of lingering depravity, as he walked closer to her he waved his hand over her from, forcing it to retract and burn off of her body. “Thanks for everything, we will get this done and we will end this battle once and for all. You need to be less hard on yourself, there are things in this world that can’t be done alone, there is no shame in asking and receiving help when you need it. You do a lot of work for the people you care for, and your efforts are one that warrant praise, not self-abasement.”

“You are a blunt and analytical person, but sometimes lightening up a little wouldn’t hurt.” Araceon smiled as he place his hand on her shoulder doing his best to comfort her.

[18:57:52] Asking and recieving help... she hardly did anything but such a sort of action she felt. Yet others felt otherwise.... people kept saying she was too hard on herself, but she... didn't know. Not fully... a sigh escaped her mouth as she looked aside. "...Unfortunatly there's other stuff I'd rather walk the road alone on... wouldn't want to have others be dragged into the mess with things like that depravity you felt..." she muttered, sighing bleakly with a smile... nodding.

"Efforts and attempts are just that... a doctor that attempts a hundred surgeries and fails to save one patient isn't to be praised, they are to be condemned and not trusted for failing to research and treat their patient properly." she said bluntly... the sort of mentality she learned as a kid. Something so far back...

"...Lets go check for those notes then, I guess?"

[21:19:31] The notes had arrived and Araceon immediately went to work. As he delved deeper into the work of Aliza the recurring them of gathering souls ran through out the tomes. Using the force of comic power to lend the force of the souls. Araceon closeness with his own star was only matched by Ezariel himself, but how could he use this power to his advantage, he needed to study more he needed to read more of the aligning of souls within the power of runes.

To align the force of souls into runes, the rune itself needs to be a temple, to create the temple one must recreate the force of the spirit inside of the rune itself. Mannaz the run of self....Laguz the rune of flow and Thurisaz the gateway rune, these would be the runes that would allow a person to harbor souls inside of the rune itself.

Araceon continued his reading of the notes, the soul making contact with a mana circuit would be key in forcing a disruption and banishment in the undead corpses, he would need to locate the notes of Wynne to combine the magic’s together.

[22:02:11] As the cast on he base of the mold was completely dry Araceon began to work on the soul absorbtions runes each piece of the run was forged in common steel, they had no time to scour the earth for a more powerful metal, but the materials that they had used were suffice enough to work. The notes of Aliza had help Araceon understand the concept of Soul dissonance,while the energy of the soul is trapped in the rune, it can be used to send frequencies of disrupting magic that can be block off by normal flesh and blood, but a corpse cannot.

This would soften the souls inside of the corpses and allow the banishing spell to trigger form the center, forcing them out of their current vessels. Araceon toiled and toiled, etching each run onto a sheet of steel, infused with his own Aeonic energies. Etching the three rune wards on each side of the sheet, once finished he began to burn the metal plates together, forming a small prism like structure.

This would act as the brain of the machine, it would collect the souls willing to offer their help and allow them to project their force onto the machine and in large enough radius to wipe out thousands of un dead at once. As he place the completed first part of the construct he took the frame and began to pre etch the runes to allow mana projection on the machine.

As he was etching he eyed the warming mercury, turning Azure in color rather than the murky muddy blue from before, it was ready to be siphoned and purified. Araceon covered the crucible with the lid as he placed the mercury inside. As the metal poured into the kiln the flames bursted into a brilliant sky blue.

So much work to be done, but this all for the end of the empire. It had to be done, he made his way to the common place to see if he could find another lightning magi again.
