The Day Of The Fair

''EEK! ITS THE FAIR!''
Rosie squealed as she pulled Genji into the fair. ''I DIDN'T SAY YES TO THIS, ROSIE!'' He sighed. Marshal was muttering in his blanket. ''Its the most wonderful time for a fair. Yes, make one when its snowing..'' ''I'm not too thrilled about this either,  Marshal!'' Octavian stomped his feet. ''I have no idea why Bella and Rosie are so excited. They haven't even grown their winter fur!'' Ankha grumbled, wrapped up in her GracieGrace scarf. Bella was practically hitching a piggyback-ride on Phoebe. ''Come on, Phoebe!'' Bella whined, as she scrabbled up on Phoebe's back. ''We're here!'' Julia said, taking off her overly-fluffy hat. She picked up Tangy and put her on her head. ''Whee! What are we gonna do first?'' Tangy asked, obviously excited. ''Please say something other than dunk tank..'' whimpered Genji. He didn't like it, not one little bit! Especially in the winter, when the waters practically FROZEN solid. ''We're going to the dunk tank!'' Julia squealed happily. ''YAAAAAY!'' a chorus of voices including Bella, Rosie, Phoebe, Tangy and Freya. On the other paw, Genji and Octavian weren't too pleased. The ecstatic voices overpowered the mutters of the two.

''So, How do you do this again?'' Ankha and Freya asked. ''Throw the ball at the target. If you get bulls-eye the boy will fall into the water and you'll get 10 tickets!'' Julia replied. ''Um. Okay.'' Ankha and Freya both held the ball, as it was nearly as big as their paws. They were quite small because they were animals, of course! ''Three, Two, One, THROW!'' Julia and Rosie said in harmony. ''Bah, Humbug!'' Genji muttered to Octavian. ''How can they think this is FUN? I'd rather be at home watching horse racers!'' Octavian replied. ''Thats even more boring than what they're doing right now!'' Genji said, in utter shock at what Octavian watches. ''S-so.. C-c-cold...'' the boy in the water said, as Julia pulled out the tickets and handed them to Marshal. ''Keep them safe, my lil' squirrel pal.'' ''Thats what gentlemen do!'' Marshal smiled.

For the rest of the day, they all had fun laughing and playing various games. Tangy had gotten what she wanted - a reindeer plushie bigger than her so she could ride on it as if it was real. Marshal and Ankha weren't too thrilled at what they had obtained - a dumb little fancy spoon. ''Hey, Octavian! Your fancy and all, you want this spoon?'' Ankha laughed. ''NOT FUNNY, EGYPTIAN KITTY!'' Octavian growled, becoming furious. ''Calm down guys!'' Rosie said. ''Julia won't like this!'' Phoebe and Bella said, turning their heads at the mayor buying tickets back to their wonderful town   of Hawaii. ''I CALL SHOTGUN!'' Rosie and Bella said, pushing to get to the front of the train. ''I don't understand it. Whats so good about being at the front?'' Freya asked Ankha, shaking her head. ''I don't know, Freya... I just don't know.'' Ankha replied, sitting down next to Freya. Tangy was gripping Julia's hand. ''I really, really, reaaaally hate trains!'' Tangy whined. ''Calm down. Oh look, Rosie wants to chat!'' Julia replied, pushing Tangy towards Rosie. The train started moving, and they were on their way back to Hawaii.
