- Anima: Beyond Fantasy Classes Redux
- -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- ARCHETYPE DATA AND DESCRIPTIONS:
- Fighter
- Prowler
- Novel (expanded to include skillmonkey features of prowler)
- Psychic
- Mystic
- Domine
- 6 archetypes, total of 6+6*5 classes. This number includes two forms of every dualclass, ie, fighter/prowler vs prowler/fighter.
- That's 36 classes, and that's a lot. Best cut it down
- 6+(6*5)/2 results in 21 classes. Still a lot, but we'll see where this goes.
- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- CLASS DATA AND DESCRIPTIONS:
- OG Anima has: Warrior, Acrobatic Warrior, Paladin, Dark Paladin, Weaponmaster, Technician
- Tao, Ranger, Shadow, Thief, Assassin, Wizard, Warlock, Illusionist, Wizard Mentalist, Summoner, Warrior Summoner, Mentalist, Warrior Mentalist, Freelancer
- 20 classes total! This does include some repeats: Two fighter/prowlers (ranger and shadow) two pure prowlers (assassin and thief), and two (in a way, four) fighter/mystics: Warlock and Warrior Summoner (as well as paladin/dark paladin if you count those). While a warlock/warrior summoner split may make sense, the others don't so much. Chopping it down, we'll end up with 16 classes...including the pure and only Novel class, Freelancer.
- In order to make new classes we first start with two baselines: the best costs for everything, and the worst costs.
- Best Cost Class:
- ======================================================================
- Prime Archetypes (subtypes)
- Warrior (Standard, Tao)
- Psychic (Passive, Active)
- Mystic (Magic, Summon, Invoke)
- Secondary Archetypes (Subtypes)
- Warrior (Tao, Armour)
- Psychic (Passive, Active)
- Mystic (Zeon, Summoning)
- Skilled (choose a bunch of skills)
