  7. [well, came outta ded to write this
  8.
  9. not rev. pines, and kinda different from my other stuff.
  10.
  11. guess that’s what happens when you haven’t written anything except research papers in half a year.
  12.
  13. dunno if it’s good, but here it is.]
  14.
  15. The bell rang for recess, and the twins scrambled across the playground. Mabel grabbed Dipper’s arm, dragging him towards the play structures.
  16. “I dare you to jump off the top of the jungle gym!” Mabel said, glancing back at her brother. Dipper stared at her momentarily, before sighing and slowly climbing up to the top.
  17. “Sis, do I have to? I could get hurt…” Dipper shouted down, teeth chattering from the cold.
  18. “C’mon dummy, it’s a dare! When you get dared to do something, you have to do it!” Mabel yelled back up, giggling. “Don’t make me come up there and push you!”
  19. Dipper jumped but the wind tripped him up, slamming him into a bar before he banged into the ground.
  20. “OH JEEZ!” Mabel ran over to him as he quietly lay crying on the ground. “Dipper, are you alright?”
  21. He sniffled, wiping his eyes. “I… I think so,” he stammered, but tears welled up in his eyes again. Mabel pulled him up off the dirt and dusted him off.
  22. “You’re not bleeding, at least. C’mon, let’s take you to the nurse’s office.” She leaned over and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. “That should help too, right?”
  23. Dipper’s cheeks burned bright red as Mabel helped walk him back towards the buildings.

  27. Mabel knocked on the door as she walked into the room, smiling.
  28. “Heyyyyyyyy Dipper, ol’ buddy ol’ pal, I dare you to go to this dance with me. I don’t want to be there by myself, so why not bring along my wonderful brother?”
  29. Dipper groaned, spinning around in his chair. “The school one? Mabel, we’re like the lamest kids at Westbrook. All the upperclassmen are gonna be there and laugh at us for still hanging out together.”
  30. Mabel shrugged. “So? Doesn’t bother me. It’s a chance to go out and do something for once. Aaaaand, I heard that Mary Walker is gonna be there!”
  31. Dipper stood up from his desk, walking towards her. “Ugh, Mary? Her glasses are weird. And her voice sounds like a guinea pig inhaled a bunch of helium.”
  32. “Aw, c’mon, Dipper! You know she likes you!” Mabel said, grinning evilly.
  33. “Mabel, stop messing with me. I don’t care if she likes me, I don‘t like her,” Dipper spluttered.
  34. “Well, it doesn’t matter anyway. I dared you to go to that dance, and when you get dared to do something, you’ve got to do it,” Mabel chided in a singsong voice
  35. “Aw, still? Mabel, we’re in high school, not preschool. Are you still gonna pull that crap on me?”
  36. “Dippppperrrrrr…” Mabel whined, putting on her best puppy-dog face.
  37. “Man, don’t make that face; that’s not fair. You look too much like a character from a Disney movie. If I go to the damn dance, will that make you happy?”
  38. Mabel clapped. “YAY! C’mon, Dipper, help me pick out a dress!” she said, skipping out of the room and down the hall.
  39. “Wait, Mabel! The dance isn’t until Friday! And it’s just us going together, anyhow…” Dipper shouted at her out of the room, but there was no response.

  44. Mabel rested her head on Dipper’s lap as the movie blared on the television screen in front of them. She bit her lip before glancing up at him, noticing his square jawline and muscular arms. Dipper moved his leg, and knocked the empty wine bottle off the couch and onto the floor.
  45. “H-hey Dipper…” Mabel started, before trailing off. Dipper looked down at her. The braces were off, but she was still afraid to show her smile. Her long, curly hair lay splayed out in his lap, and she had filled out her sweater nicely.
  46. “Mmm?” Dipper replied nonchalantly, idly stroking her hair. Mabel reached over and grabbed her glass from the table, finishing her wine.
  47. “Dipper, I dare you to kiss me,” Mabel said, trying to keep her voice level, and clamping her eyes shut. She waited for the hysteric response, the crushing rejection, the broken relationship that was sure to follow. Instead, there was nothing. Silence. She waited a few more seconds and opened her eyes.
  48. Dipper didn’t say anything. Instead, he pulled her next to him and gently brushed the hair from her face, and kissed her. They had practiced kissing before as kids, but there was nothing that could have prepared her. This was nothing but pure passion. She responded in kind, full of hunger, need, and more than anything, bliss. There was no talking. There was no thinking. For that moment in time, there was just… them.

  52. She gasped as he pulled her hair, thrusting into her. Everything was just as she had imagined, just as she had hoped, just as she had DREAMED. There was only one thing she could think to say.
  53. “Don’t you dare stop.”
