  1. Mercuria reeled back, screaming as she was blinded. Her eyes were ripped from her face by the creature's talons, and her world went black. There was nothing but pain, and the noise of the ongoing battle. The Drakan fell to her knees, holding her face, breathing. It hurt. It hurt badly.
  2.
  3. But she knew it wasn't over. She thanked the pain in her mind. She accepted the message it gave her: That she was grievously injured. She looked past it, clutching her face. Flowers would begin to blossom across the wound, giving her face a floral veil of roses.
  4.
  5. But beyond her temporary mending of her terrible wound, she looked past everything. Into the essence of the world. Into the Arcane. She'd rise to her feet, the blind girl settling once more into her fencing stance. She couldn't be defeated here - Not with the lives of everyone at risk.
  6.
  7. Her heroic desire was met with a response. The world answered her, and one so connected with the lifestream such as Xomac, and the bird itself, would feel the sudden change in Mercuria's humble presence. Her figure, along with some rocks around her, would lift into the air.
  8.
  9. And to her, the world was alit anew. She could see better than she ever had. She could see the pulse of life about everything. And most importantly - She could see the Garuda's own being. She'd surge forward then, riding upon the power of the Arcane's magic, as though a Drakan in natural flight.
  10.
  11. "FOR ATL! SHAKLAHA!" She would roar, plunging into the Garuda's form, her rapier piercing past it's arcanium exterior, and into it's heart. A perfect thrust, guided by what only one connected to the world could see.
  12.
  13. She'd fall with the creature, it's figure collapsing as she rode it's death spiral to the ground. Just before impact, she'd hop off it, landing on her feet. "Xomac! Is everyone else okay?!" She'd ask, paying noheed to her own injury for now.
  14. (Mercuria)
