In-House Shadowverse Tourney Ruleset

Format – 2-Deck Single Elimination

Registering Decks:

Every player registers a deck by hitting preview on the deck screen in-game and taking screenshot of the decklist. 2 decklists must be submitted, though they can be the same deck twice if you choose or are restricted by card selection. Compile the 2 deck screenshots into 1 single image for submission.

A fair way to submit screenshots is yet to be determined, but we’ll likely have players hold their screenshots until tournament starts and give everyone a 1-2 minute window to dump their images into Discord - Other Games.

Note that if you miss this window, you will automatically be eliminated for the sake of integrity. Warnings will be given on Discord at 1 hour, 30min, 15min, and 5min before the submission window.

Alternatively, we can assign one non-participant to hold the screenshots, but it opens things up to abuse.

Advancing and Elimination:

Everyone will be slotted into brackets. It’s expected you try to get with your opponent and complete your match ASAP and have this be done quickly. We may also try a longer format where everyone has 24 hours to finish and report matches for the sake of different time zones, though this will obviously drag the tournament on for much, much longer.

A player must beat both their opponent’s decks once to advance. The winner of a match keeps their current deck, while the loser switches. Example scenario:

1.	Player 1 has Sword and Forest, Player 2 has Shadow and Dragon.
2.	Player 1 picks Sword, Player 2 picks Dragon
3.	Player 2 loses
4.	Player 1 must stay with Sword, while Player 2 switches to Shadow
5.	Player 1 loses
6.	Player 1 switches to Forest, Player 2 must stay on Shadow
7.	Player 1 wins, and advances. Player 2 is eliminated from the tournament.

Results are to be reported by the winner and confirmed by the loser. If there is an unresolvable disagreement, both players are automatically eliminated. Players who are frequently involved in disagreements about match results will simply be prohibited from joining any such tournaments in the future.

Prizing:

Currently, it’s a 10-roll in GBF to the 1st place winner, which will come out of my own pocket. Note that if I win, the 10-roll instead goes to a random other participant, eliminated or not.Anyone who wants to do secondary prizing or whatever is welcome to do so, but responsibility for those will be out of my hands.
