  1. Stealth Makeover Gold is a high-intensity espionage RPG where you must tactically apply accessories and makeup to unsuspecting uglies while you sneak through malls, sports events, concerts and other public locations without attracting attention.
  2.
  3. An example scenario: you start the level walking towards a sports stadium filled with screaming fans in the bleachers. You must carefully make your way towards a target who is outlined in red (Expert mode will have no hints and you'll have to go on instinct). Once you get close to your "victim" you will have a chance to choose which accessories to slip around them - a stylish belt, watch, a dapper hat, or any number of unlockables in later levels. The challenge comes from having to match and coordinate the outfit while avoiding the eyes of anyone nearby - they will pop up on the sides of the screen and you must click them away if they get too close while you're making your selections. If done correctly and without being noticed, the person's Style status will substantially increase.

  5. Optionally you can attempt to apply makeup (if the character is female) or apply hair product (if male). Because these options are more invasive, you will receive skill bonuses for pulling them off correctly. These are done in a similar manner but now it's timed and you can't apply too much or too little of a product or makeup. This is where the game can be very unfair and punishing. I feel like they didn't balance this part of the game very well as you can practically revert their Style status from "Elegant" to "Sloppy" to "Disastrous" in mere seconds just from a hastily done makeup job.

  7. All in all it's an interesting novelty game and the stealth mechanic is implemented nicely. The RPG aspect keeps gameplay interesting as you constantly acquire new clothing & accessories ("Swag") as well as Style Points to learn new skills and techniques. Definitely worth checking out if you have a couple extra bucks and a good chunk of free time.
