  1. 1. By buying Hatred you are supporting: a) The developers and their continued endavours. You are proving to them that they made a game that's worth the asking price. That's it.
  2.
  3. As for the development team. IIRC much of the development team is from The Farm 51 (necrovision, Deadfall), I own most of their games, while I do not consider them "great" by any means, I will always stand by the idea that with proper time and resources that they can produce something great, and if Hatred provides them with the cash to do so, then fine.

  5. 2. By voting for the game on Greenlight because you think it will be fun, you are doing nothing wrong. Personally, I have serious concerns about your tastes and mental state to even consider what we have seen as anything worthwile, but at the end of the day, it is your decision and on that issue, only your own opinion matters. I'll still reserve my right to tell you it's fucking retarded though.

  7. I voted for it on greenlight because I think the games destruction physics look pretty good, with walls and scenery being destroyed. I've always been a massive fan of games with huge amounts of player/ai generated scenery destruction (Red Faction, Silent Storm, Battlefied, etc.) As I understand it, it is one of the few Unreal Engine 4 games that will be released in the coming months, and would like to see how it performs on a range of hardware, Polish companies tend to do pretty well with the Unreal Engine so I have moderate hopes for it there. And just for the plain curiosity of how the actual narrative pans out.

  9. 3. By voting for the game on Greenlight just because it's anti-SJW, not because it's a good game, you are displaying anti-consumer behavior to benefit your own political beliefs.
  10.
  11. And that's up to the large group of people that voted for it on greenlight, I'm pretty much positive not every vote is from #Gamergate.

  13. As for not propelling gaming forward as an artform, the game is offensive, no doubt, but we have no idea what the game will bring to the genre as there is a very limited amount of footage shown, not to mention what the actual final narrative looks like. We have no idea what mechanics may be brought to the table at this point either, all I know is that the portion of the dev team from Farm 51 have done some interesting things in the past with Necrovision and Deadfall, that were novel ideas poorly executed.
  14.
  15. I'm not sure if a text adventure game is necessarily comparable to a detailed 3d isometric shooter, the level of technical craft is vastly different. Technical craft can be appreciated even if the whole it is part of is not that great overall.
  16.
  17. Supporting its release will at least ensure it gets it's day in market where it is free to fail if people don't like the end product, unfortunately the media outrage machine has pretty much ensured it will be a success at some level.
