- What are different between English and Japanese version?
- In English version there is Yoshi fluttering: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbFncFZdZDQ
- It works when you leave Yoshi (Press X) and ground pound in next frame (Press L)
- In Japanese version there is glitch to get Gelato Beach episode 8 shine early: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=hapsZUchb74#t=43s
- Nintendo logo is blue in Japanese version, red in English version.
- Japanese version has invisible goop everywhere when you spray the beach in Sirena Beach episode 6, you have to clean beach more.
- English versions and Japanese version has different underwater damage flashing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDtDDvfH81w
- BUT, if you hit an enemy or Eely's tooth in all of the versions, then damage flashing is the same length.
- NTSC-J version has many sound effects missing.
- NTSC-U version has some sound effects missing too, overall it's similar version to PAL.
- PAL version doesn't miss sound effects as far as I know.
- Japanese version doesn't have Piantissimo music playing when you are racing against him.
- In Japanese version when you chase Shadow Mario, he doesn't always stop in certain places, same in NTSC-U.
- But in PAL version he stops for awhile.
- After beating Shadow Mario in english version Shine spins up then down, in japanese version Shine doesn't spin.
- Japanese version has different voice acting in one part of court.
- In PAL version you can change language to Italian, which is faster than Japanese text.
- But...
- Japanese version has slightly better loading times, faster than English versions loading times.
- In Japanese version when you get shine it says SHINE GET!
- In English version it says SHINE!
- When you die in Japanese version text says MISS!
- In English version text says TOO BAD!
- Japanese version is missing fruits http://i.imgur.com/4XRzAhB.jpg
- Japanese version can glitch in sounds like no fanfare after getting Shine, it increases death loading times.
- NTSC-U and NTSC-J versions has slightly faster Ferris wheel in Pinna Park
- In NTSC-J version you can't turn off subtitles or change language.
- In NTSC-U version you can turn off subtitles but can't change language.
- (Only in NTSC versions *Rumble* has Gamecube controller icon next to it)
- In PAL version you can turn off subtitles and change language between English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
- This is what I know so far, there are probably minor differences that I haven't noticed.
