  35. Avara: i am ready
  36. Grace Leonhardt: I think I'm ready too
  37. Actinidia: here
  38. Avara: let's go ohgodihavenoideawhati'mdoing
  39. DNA: 30 minutes the snakes are going to come in and listen to us talk about our future plans for this place
  40. Avara: well, 30 minutes we're going to go out to the courtyard to talk to them
  41. Avara: otherwise yes, hence the panicky words
  42. Avara: because i have no idea what we're going to say/do
  43. Narrator: I just read all the stuff I missed. Sorry.
  44. Narrator: And to iterate, there are no berries yet.
  45. Narrator: That's mostly for Rob, who was probably reading his items that say 'x berry effect' as 'x berry'.
  46. Grace Leonhardt: We're gonna set up base here, turn things around for their group, and plant berries when we come across them in the field. Because I just have junkfood and such.
  47. Avara: ... now i'm hungry. damnit.
  48. July 24th, Monday.
  49. 76 degrees F and it feels kind of dry.
  50. Wind speeds have increased to 12 mph. and the rain has lessened to a light drizzle.
  51. Actinidia, Etna, Grace and Pierce had recently underwent dramatic change and became Pokémon. Actinidia, the Grass-Type Snivy. Etna, the Ice and Rock-Type Amaura. Grace, the Fighting-Type Riolu. Pierce, the Steel and Rock-Type Aron. They have acquired a once Wolf-Spider companion by the name of Uraruren, currently a Bug and Poison-Type Spinarak.
  52. After taking out the head of the snake gang, they've set themselves up to meet up with the whole crew, however large they are. The plan, is to announce the leaders demise and to take full control of the gang and location themselves and turn it into something better than lawless, murderous thugs.
  53. 11:26 AM
  54. Actinidia: "Become something better than lawless, murderous thugs. That is a good line, we should use it."
  55. Avara: actinidia is trying to be the new jupiter
  56. DNA: ayy
  57. Pierce Mars Oswell: "So we need to make sure that the others aren't going to try and reclaim power. This is a little wonky structure but we need to make sure that everyone's on board with this place being conducive to survival."
  58. Grace Leonhardt: "Well, considering a few of them saw us decapiate their last boss, that means a direct coup might be... delayed for a bit."
  59. Grace Leonhardt: ^
  60. Pierce Mars Oswell: "That or they'll be incensed and try to take us on all at once. But probably not."
  61. Actinidia: "There will be three groups. Those who just wanted to be protected, they will support whomever protects them. There are those who wanted to be violent and kill and steal, they will be hard to sway. Anyone who was actually loyal to the onix herself, they will be even harder."
  62. Etna: "Hmm. I guess we'll see how it is when we get out there. Either way, we'll have to make it work."
  63. Etna: "Are we all going to be talking, or will one of us be acting as the face of the group?"
  64. Grace Leonhardt: "Oh jeez, please not me. I'm not much of a public speaker."
  65. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Probably one of us would be better. That prevents us from tripping over each other's words."
  66. Actinidia: "But feel free to prompt others if you get stuck."
  67. Actinidia: "Mars is right, we want a unified message."
  68. A few raps on the door echo.
  69. Etna: "Alright."
  70. * Etna walks over to the door and pushes it open.
  71. Dunsparce (The Father): Dunsparce (The Father) enters the room, "Are you all ready to address the snake population?"
  72. Etna: "We're ready, yes."
  73. Dunsparce (The Father): "Alright. Follow me then, to The Fens." Dunsparce (The Father) turns and begins to slither out of the room before pausing, "...Should I introduce you all first or do you just want to address them on your own?"
  74. Etna: "We'll introduce ourselves, I think."
  75. Etna: "Makes for a better connection to everyone."
  76. Dunsparce (The Father): "Alright. Just note then, that I did announce that we have 'new leadership' and that they wanted to address the clan." Dunsparce (The Father) nods in your direction when he says 'new leadership', "They'll know what that implies so bear that in mind."
  77. Dunsparce (The Father): Dunsparce (The Father) will take his leave and lead you to The Fens.
  78. When you're ready, announce it and I'll move you to The Fens.
  79. Avara: i am ready
  80. Grace Leonhardt: rdy!
  81. Pierce Mars Oswell: Ready.
  82. * Pierce Mars Oswell gives a low whistle and whispers. "Big crowd. No wonder this was such a big deal. How are there so many?"
  83. Dunsparce (The Father): "Everyone! This is our new leadership I told you about. They wanted to address us. All of us. So give them your undivided attention!"
  84. The crowd of snakes looks to one another and glares in your direction. Or look. You aren't sure, they have snaek faces. But their murmurs turn to whispers as they watch you.
  85. Actinidia: Actinidia uses her snake eyes to decipher snaek faces. Perception
  86. Actinidia: 2+3+4+1=10
  87. Pierce Mars Oswell: Mars tries to gauge the general gazes and attitude of the crowd. Perception (Seeing)
  88. Pierce Mars Oswell: 2+5+5+3=15
  89. Actinidia: ((it'd be insight I think))
  90. Dunsparce (The Father): (( Sense motive/intuition is insight, indeed. ))
  91. Pierce Mars Oswell: Oh. Shoot, let me look up what stat that's for.
  92. Actinidia: perception
  93. Pierce Mars Oswell: ...I don't have Insight as a focus on mine
  94. Pierce Mars Oswell: oh, it's Empathy
  95. DNA: Either way, that doesn't change my roll, and I can't really add a stunt onto it, so I submit my roll as-is.
  96. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will try to keep enough composure to stay neutral. She'll look out as well.
  97. Actinidia: Actinidia whispered to the group, "They look more unimpressed than angry."
  98. Grace Leonhardt: 3+5+4+0=12
  99. Pierce Mars Oswell: Mars whispers back. "I think they were expecting you to be bigger, Act."
  100. Narrator whispers: They're disappointed that the ones who managed to defeat the Onix aren't all snakes. But they're cautious about what your goals are. What would these non-snakes have them do, they wonder?
  101. Actinidia: "Or Etna more Snek."
  102. Grace Leonhardt: She'll whisper as well, "To be fair, if they see their leader's killer..." She'll trail off looking over to resident spider.
  103. * Etna takes a deep breath, and looks out at everyone, mentally blanking out their expressions. They would have plenty of time to react once Etna was done, and the others could be her eyes and ears. "Greetings, everyone. I am Etna Tracey. With me are Mars, Actinidia, Grace and Uraruren. As you've no doubt deduced, we've slain your former leader and are here to take what was once her dominion. You're likely wondering why. Why did we kill her? Why do we think we can do this? Why should you listen to us? Those of you who were human might remember, though. This world isn't solely defined by might. We're not a mindless horde defined by our strength, or our shape. We are people, all of us, and we need to work together and be better than the bare minimum to survive. Our group has been going around, for the past few days, putting a stop to thievery and needless predation, and that's what we want you to help with. To stop letting fear and power rule over all, and provide a safe haven instead."
  104. Uraruren: "Hm? Should I make that announcement? That I killed that giant rock snake good and ate its entire head?"
  105. Etna: (( should i make a check or keep going? ))
  106. Uraruren: (( Allow me to read it before I answer that. ))
  107. Actinidia: Actinidia nodded with approval.
  108. Narrator: Alright. I've set the bar. Yes. You'll want to begin your Advanced Test with this opener. It is a Persuasion Advanced Test and the focuses Performance, Persuasion and Leadership can be applied. To use any other focuses you will need convince me and I reserve the right to say 'nah bruh'. Additionally, the Strength (Intimidate) can also be used here but may have different effects and be resisted by a different test by the groups of snakes.
  109. Narrator: I meant Communication Advanced Test with the focuses Performance, Persuasion and Leadership applicable.
  110. Avara: should we have an initiative set up for it?
  111. Narrator: No. With each of your tests the group will get their own check to resist and may speak out to try to further their own gain (whatever that means).
  112. Narrator: If someone not-you wants to speak in your place they will need to make a test of their own choosing and it will take up that allotment.
  113. Avara: okay.
  114. Narrator: However, all successes are tallied together.
  115. Avara: shall i roll for the opening post, then?
  116. Narrator: Yes. You should.
  117. Etna: 1+5+1+6=13
  118. Actinidia: So we can literally hurt her argument if we make a bad point and give the enemy a success?
  119. Avara: or if you roll poorly. like i did.
  120. Narrator: Possibly. You could also potentially save her in light of what her roll just was. However, she did stunt, so perhaps she can save herself.
  121. Avara: the only stunt i can afford is Bon Mot.
  122. Avara: and i am not a witty. so i'll open the floor for that.
  123. Narrator: Feel free to take what Actinidia said earlier if you can't think of anything.
  124. Etna: "In essence... We want everyone here, ourselves included, to be more than lawless, murderous thugs."
  125. Avara: mot has been bonned
  126. Snivy: "Hmph. Another one of these females. Look lady, you ain't the first one who waltz'd in here and killed the biggest meanest thing you saw. You talk the talk but can you walk the walk? Or will this just be another ploy to win our wee little hearts and then its back to the same song and dance?"
  127. Narrator: Check made. Your move.
  128. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Huh. Maybe that Onix wasn't the first time this happened. You might want to address that." (Not a check, just making an observation.)
  129. Narrator: Noted. And such observations are fine. Talking amongst each other to help strengthen a point or make a retort is perfectly fine.
  130. DNA: whoo!
  131. Etna: "Whether you choose to believe me isn't something I can force you to change. If you want to stay around and watch, without joining the peacekeeping forces, that's fine. We don't demand that everyone serve that end, and we don't demand you all stay under us, either. But we do want everyone who's willing to work for a lasting, safe domain to consider it. We're going to be working for more than that, too. The white house has some of the only real soil capable of supporting life in the middle of the city. Agricultural plans are already in consideration for that purpose, to avoid people going hungry or needing to mug or kill others for food."
  132. Etna: 1+5+6+6=18
  133. Avara: afk, need to help fam
  134. Avara: back
  135. Narrator: (( Ams the readings. ))
  136. Snivy: "You aren't demanding that we do anything you don't like, but you're pleasantly asking us? Is that it? And if we don't like what you're selling? What then? Will you deal with us in the same way you dealt with all those other wrongdoers you've encountered the past few days? Or did I mishear that part earlier?"
  137. You can see the other snakes looking around at each other, now suddenly asking the same thing. There's a power vacuum and it seems like this Snivy is trying to snatch it up for her own devices and she seems to be making points a fair amount of the snake group are liking.
  138. Etna: "I hope you're ready to answer all the same questions if you try to lead people, now that you're putting them out there. But as for us... well. If you keep trying to kill or steal or things like that, we'll stop you. We won't kill you, but we'll escort you outside the city, because we don't have a prison or any means of staffing it. If you just want to live and let live, then that's fine."
  139. Etna: 5+6+2+6=19
  140. Actinidia: "If you wish to stay in peace, then stay. If you wish to leave in peace, leave. If you're a woman of ideas, we'd love to have you on our side."
  141. The snake group seems to like that idea. It involves a lot of forgiveness and not-dying that they don't seem to be used to.. Suddenly your side has much o fthe adoration.
  142. Actinidia: Actinidia gives Etna an assuring smile.
  143. Snivy: "Tch, what are you, naive? If someone's going around killing and stealing simply 'escorting them' out of the city won't change them. What's to stop them from just coming back in and continuing it? You'll need to address that point from the get-go, not later. And I won't lie to my brothers, sisters and children. We protect each other - by any means. No matter who's in charge - just like we have been. It works. What guarentee do you have that your methods will be at least as effective?"
  144. Dunsparce (The Father): Dunsparce (The Father) turns and noticeably frowns at the Snivy. Like Pokémon, methods need to evolve.
  145. The rest of the snakes seem to side with the Snivy at first, but once they see The Father's reaction they immediately look away. She won over no one in this round.
  146. Etna: "Good that you ask. Since ancient times, the idea has existed that we need a way to keep threats out, to keep invaders and those banished from simply walking back in. The answer was equally ancient, and equally applicable here. We'll build. Build barriers and walls, with gates to enter and leave. Until then, and even after, we'll patrol the city to ensure that it's safe. And by we, I don't mean 'those of you that follow us.' I mean 'you, us, and anyone else committed to keeping the peace.'"
  147. Etna: 3+3+5+6=17
  148. Avara: trying to decide stunt. between Stunned Silence and Jest.
  149. DNA: From an IC perspective I think Stunned Silence works better?
  150. Actinidia: Stunned silent probably best. Undermining them undermines our point of cooporation.
  151. Avara: indeed. Stunned Silence, if the GM thinks it applicable.
  152. Avara: might be they're shocked by the fact the leadership candidates are willing to work alongside them rather than lording over them.
  153. Snivy: Snivy blinks, "Walls? Barriers?! Wha-bu-wha-mu-" Snivy is stunned by that obvious and incredibly trivial point. Everyone are Pokémon now, not humans. Some are gigantic and some are miniscule. Some are able to fly, burrow and teleport. Do they really think walls and barriers will actually do anything noteworthy?
  154. Narrator: Snivy is too stunned to retort. You may make another point.
  155. The snakes begin smiling and actively cheering 'New Leadership' by this point.
  156. Etna: "Why yes, it's not a perfect answer. But it's a start, and the obvious weakpoints are -why- we'll have patrols. We won't just make simple walls, but adapt to what we know Pokemon can do to get around them. We'll keep building up the defenses until it -is- a perfect answer. Because that's what you have to do, if you don't want to just kill everyone who disagrees with you. You find alternatives. And you know, it'll help to have more people around to make suggestions for -how- to improve those defenses."
  157. Etna: 5+4+4+6=19
  158. Etna: ((Stunned Silent again, as well as And Another Thing.)) "But you know, people won't be as eager to fight once there is a viable source of food and safety around them. The panic and belligerence will die down."
  159. Just as the statement finished the group of snakes rise up and begin hissing in unison! Appreciatively I might add. The opposing Snivy couldn't even speak over them.
  160. Etna: (( check complete. ))
  161. Snivy: "Wh-Wh- WELL FINE!" Snivy suddenly yells, "If you're willing to just blindly follow these bunch of morons in their overly idealistic practices I'm leaving this shithole!" Snivy hisses and turns to the other two Snivy, "Come on sisters, we're leaving this shitstain of a clan!"
  162. Snivy 2: Snivy 2 pauses and looks around, watching the other two Snivy leave and she looks at the ground, staying where she is.
  163. Snivy: "Hey, I said we're leaving! Come on!"
  164. Snivy 2: "N-No! I'm staying! This is the closest I've ever felt to home and now there's good intentions here! I don't want ot mess it up!"
  165. Snivy: "You'd pick them over us?!" Snivy blinked, her face turning read and with a cringe, was barely able to hold back tears, "Fine! Whatever! We'll make do without you!"
  166. DNA: Permission to try and make a test to prevent the other two from leaving?
  167. Snivy 1: Snivy 1 frowned deeply as she looked back at her sister but sighed and followed the Snivy out of the Fens.
  168. Narrator: You can, but I can tell you it'll be a hefty TN after all this.
  169. Actinidia: Actinidia attempts to remember Snivy's face. As a snivy it may or may not be easy.
  170. Actinidia: ((O
  171. DNA: Like close to 18 hefty?
  172. Narrator: You remember this female Snivy as THAT BITCH and her sister as THAT OTHER SNIVY.
  173. Actinidia: ((I've got an idea I wanted to try))
  174. Narrator: It's not impossible. Just incredibly difficult.
  175. DNA: I mean I know it'll be high, but I want to at least try it.
  176. Narrator: Yeah, you can try it.
  177. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...Wait, hold on. I don't want you to leave. As we said...it's a group effort. This place is so big that we're all in this together anyway. And if any of us are to survive out here we're going to need all the help we can get, from each other. I know I can't force you to stay, but...we'd really appreciate it. You feel really strongly about keeping everyone together. We might not totally agree on how to go about it but I think your heart is in the right place, at least." This counts as...Persuasion, technically.
  178. Pierce Mars Oswell: 6+1+6+0=13
  179. Pierce Mars Oswell: oh hey, 6 stunt points
  180. Pierce Mars Oswell: Sway the Crowd, And Another Thing, and I'm not sure what to do with the last 2 points. (Thinking about what to say for And Another Thing.)
  181. Narrator: You didn't convince her to stay but feel free to do 'and another thing'.
  182. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Or if you go and head out - maybe you can start up a safe haven of your own. DC is a big place after all."
  183. DNA: Sway the Crowd I can only think of to target her 2 sisters. SO I'll use it twice accordingly that way.
  184. DNA: ...It is good to try. Even if I don't fully succeed, it is good to try.
  185. Snivy 1: Snivy 1 pauses and turns to Mars before looking to her sister that remained and sighs heavily before turning to the one leaving, "I...I think I'll stay too."
  186. Snivy: Snivy spins around mid-step and screams, "What?!?"
  187. Snivy 1: "After everything, we have to try? Right?"
  188. Snivy: "Quwik. Fffuick. Phfhttrp!!" Snivy spouts gibberish as her response and storms away, literally anime stomping her way out of sight. A lost cause she was. Is. A lost cause. That is. Or was.
  189. Avara: Snivy 0 = Lost Cause
  190. Pierce Mars Oswell: Mars quietly whispers to himself. "I hope she ends up okay..."
  191. Actinidia: "If she makes it on her own long enough, she might come back to what we'll build." Actinidia turned to the other two snivy, "I'm sorry this was hard for you. I might not be your sister, but we can still be friends. I'm Actinidia." She held out her hand.
  192. Dunsparce (The Father): "The one lady aside, I think you've got some supporters."
  193. Snivy 2: Snivy 2, looking over the myriad of Dunsparce between her and Actinidia, "Oh, uh, hi. I'm Janet. That's my sister, Roxy."
  194. Roxy: "Mm." Roxy says with a curt nod.
  195. Janet: "And she'll be okay. If there's anyone cautious enough to survive...it's her."
  196. * Etna lets out a sigh of relief.
  197. Actinidia: "She is smart. I'd rather have her on my side. Maybe she'll have a change of heart, if we prove to be more practical than she expected."
  198. Janet: "Well, actions speak louder than words...so, let's do that."
  199. Dunsparce (The Father): "That rightly so."
  200. Etna: "Alright. Since we have that all sorted, I think it'll be a good idea to take some time before we do anything major. We need to familiarize ourselves with you all and how you've done things until now, and we need to shore up the defenses for the white house before we can move past that. So that you're all safe. It was far too easy for our group to get in here."
  201. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I'm thinking the wreckage out front would be a point of contention..."
  202. Actinidia: "Are there any good maps? Should we have someone make one?
  203. * Etna nods to both Mars and Act.
  204. Dunsparce (The Father): "Well, as the one who uhm, got around the most, I'm quite familiar with everyone here. I can be your point of management."
  205. Actinidia: "That would be greatly appreciated. What was your name again?"
  206. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...this explains a lot..." Mars said in a low voice.
  207. Dunsparce (The Father): "Hjadvir."
  208. * Etna looks over to Dunsparce The Father and nods, then looks to the rest of the crowd. "Anyone who might have ideas on how to help, feel free to make your suggestions known. You can all go back to relaxing for now while we plan things out. If you want to talk to a familiar face as an inbetween, Hjadvir will be a good choice for that."
  209. * Etna has pretty good pronunciation of Hjadvir for having only heard it once. Because it's vaguely nordic and she's a norse geek.
  210. Dunsparce (The Father): Hjadvir (The Father) nods and turns to everyone, "You heard the new leadership! Go chillax or something! I'll get back to you guys on how to set this place up for more safety once they tell me and we'll get it done!"
  211. Actinidia: "Hijadvere..." Actinidia didn't do as well.
  212. Actinidia: "Hyadvir..." Actinidia got closer.
  213. The snakes raise their heads at the word 'safety' and begin chanting 'be more than murdererous thugs!' as they slither away.
  214. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...Well, it's a start, at least."
  215. * Etna lets out another sigh of relaxation once the crowd's gone to chillax, slumping on the floor a bit.
  216. Dunsparce (The Father): "Nicely done. My owner really liked Thor movies. I'm assuming you were human, too? And also liked Thor movies?"
  217. Etna: "Yes, and yes again."
  218. Etna: "Your owner had good taste."
  219. Dunsparce (The Father): "I suppose. A shame his skinny Irish fling turned into a monstrous Onix and crushed is itty bitty frame when he turned into a six in yellow spider."
  220. Dunsparce (The Father): (( his itty bitty* ))
  221. Dunsparce (The Father): "I would've loved to see him in todays world. And that Onix was never the same since." Hjadvir (The Father) sighs, "But she's also dead! So good riddance I suppose."
  222. Dunsparce (The Father): "If you're going to ask, I was an angel fish. Watched a lot of television from my tank. Were you all human or just some of you?"
  223. Uraruren: "I was born yesterday!"
  224. Hjadvir (The Father): "Hm! Good thing! You missed the transformation night! Quite a fuss that was!"
  225. Etna: "The rest of us were human, but Uraruren's family were spiders before the change. I wasn't going to ask, though--whatever you were before, we're all Pokemon now."
  226. Actinidia: "Was the onix the one we fought...?"
  227. Hjadvir (The Father): "Indeed. She was losing herself I think. But then again, I wonder if all humans aren't. Are you?"
  228. Etna: "Extreme change and stress affects people in different ways. Mostly I'm focusing on making sure everyone's alright to keep myself steady."
  229. Etna: "I'm still the same person as I was, as far as I can tell. I've just been through some very different experiences and in a different body."
  230. Actinidia: "I was a strange human, it's hard to say. I feel my instincts changing. Things... have different impressions on me. Snakes are attractive. What I find appetizing has changed entirely."
  231. Actinidia: "I could tell those Snivy apart. I can promise you that my human eyes wouldn't have been able to."
  232. Hjadvir (The Father): "I could barely tell you humans apart before, so I believe it. And whatever you do to keep yourself from lashing out randomly works for me. I'm just here to love, after all."
  233. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I think I'm still just a human in a tiny metal shell at this point. I'm trying to keep focused by remembering what's important here, what I have the power to change."
  234. Hjadvir (The Father): Hjadvir (The Father) chuckles to himself. Perhaps it was a joke?
  235. Hjadvir (The Father): "But, I have to say, I'm impressed." Hjadvir (The Father) nods.
  236. Hjadvir (The Father): "Not about convincing our group of kin, but that's cool. I'm impressed you fought as well as you did while pregnant. That takes some stones!"
  237. Actinidia: "...what?"
  238. Hjadvir (The Father): "Did I say something weird?" Hjadvir (The Father) tilts his head, "Or...perhaps you don't realize it?"
  239. Actinidia: "I... didn't."
  240. Hjadvir (The Father): "Oh." Hjadvir (The Father) grows silent for a moment.
  241. Hjadvir (The Father): "I can promise you though, I didn't do it."
  242. Actinidia: "I know who did. I thought egg laying was quick."
  243. Hjadvir (The Father): "Hm? Oh, it is. At least, as far as I can remember."
  244. Hjadvir (The Father): "Takes about a day."
  245. Actinidia: "I see..." Actinidia was staring intently at her navel.
  246. Hjadvir (The Father): "You'll suddenly egg. Or eggs. It's never consistent." Hjadvir (The Father) shrugs, "And no one knows where they come from."
  247. Etna: (( was getting food. catching up. ))
  248. * Pierce Mars Oswell looks very confused, but starts to put bits of information together in his head, so he can make sense of it.
  249. Actinidia: "Well then, I'll want to stay safe for the next day."
  250. Hjadvir (The Father): "Good plan!" Hjadvir (The Father) cheers, "I like plans. They're easy to follow. Orderly. But yeah, you'll just...suddenly notice the eggs. Or wake up with them nearby. It's how it usually works."
  251. * Etna gives Act an appreciative gentle back-pat with her tail.
  252. Hjadvir (The Father): "Soooo, I guess you'll take the Onix room then...?"
  253. Actinidia: "We might. How many other rooms are that size? We don't need size to make a big impression, if that room can be put to better use we should put it to better use."
  254. Etna: "Actually, we were wondering about a room in the main building. It would've been roughly oval shaped, and had a very shiny desk and chair? I think. It's called the Oval Office, and it's where leaders used to stay in this building."
  255. Hjadvir (The Father): "Dunno. Most of them? The ones that aren't filled with rubble anyhow."
  256. Hjadvir (The Father): "That one? Yeah, it's missing a ceiling and has some rubble in it but it's there. You want that one?"
  257. Etna: "If it's missing a ceiling, we'll find a way to fix it and use it eventually. Until then we can just stay in a room near there."
  258. Hjadvir (The Father): "I can show it to you if you like."
  259. Grace Leonhardt: "... to be honest, being in the oval office would be pretty awesome since new management and all that. Also uh... Congrats Act. It just kinda... took me some time to process that."
  260. Etna: "That'd be lovely, yes. We might actually find a map of the property or something like that, too, so we can plan the defenses better."
  261. Actinidia: "Thank you, I'm just as surprised as you are. I wanted to know how my body worked, you know? And with eggs and Uraruren being a one-year-old pokemon, it sounded like pokemon reproduction was just human reproduction with all the inconvenient parts removed."
  262. Actinidia: "One day old pokemon, I mean."
  263. Uraruren: "I thought I was a day! Am I reall a year?"
  264. Uraruren: "oh. Aww...."
  265. Etna: "Don't worry, Ura, you'll make it to a year eventually. It's only a matter of time."
  266. Actinidia: Actinidia laughed, "I'm sorry. But you wont be the youngest in our group anymore!"
  267. Hjadvir (The Father): "Well, uh. Follow me I s'pose." Hjadvir (The Father) will slither into the building.
  268. Grace Leonhardt: "I... fair enough I suppose? Well... at least that worry of being friendly and then suddenly egg is no longer there."
  269. * Etna follows Hjadvir (The Father).
  270. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I wonder if this should make me feel really old now. ...Probably not."
  271. Avara: if there's a Hjadvir (The Father), is there a Hjadvir (The Mother) too?
  272. Hjadvir (The Father): Hjadvir (The Father) leads you deeply into the white house and after some odd turns takes you to the oval office. Of which the door is halfway there and the ceiling in the center is caved in with the rubble having crushed the central table and chair. Everything else is mostly intact.
  273. Hjadvir (The Father): "This is the place you wanted, right?"
  274. * Etna looks around, considering it all. "It's not as bad as I thought it would be, honestly."
  275. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Etna, forgive me for asking, but - why this room? Just so we'll be easy to find? I'm not sure how well this place would work as a living quarters, honestly."
  276. Hjadvir (The Father): "I'll take that as a yes."
  277. Grace Leonhardt: "Well to be fair, the worst that can happen to the place is that there's something running into it. And considering an Onyx didn't bring down probably what should be the safest buildings of the old world..."
  278. Hjadvir (The Father): "Hm? Oh, yeah. Well, she only weighed...." Hjadvir (The Father) thinks.
  279. Hjadvir (The Father): "Nine...nine hundred twenty six pounds...?"
  280. Etna: "This room, eventually, once we can repair it. Because it's a big room we can all share, and because it has symbolic meaning for any ex-humans we run across. The leadership of humans for the whole country stayed here, after all. We need to be able to make strong impressions without violence."
  281. Hjadvir (The Father): "She wasn't as heavy as I thougth she would be. Kind of weird!"
  282. Grace Leonhardt: "really? Oh man, she definitely must have been more porus than she looked."
  283. * Etna is going to start searching the room for any useful things. Which, as she can't read human, means maps and stuff with pictures.
  284. Etna: 5+2+3+0=10
  285. Actinidia: "I wonder if we can find any former construction workers."
  286. Etna: "We might be able to find a way to adapt pokemon moves to the purpose, too."
  287. Etna: "Coordinators did all kinds of wacky stuff, after all."
  288. Actinidia: "I'll work on growing trees. We could have elven tree fortresses."
  289. Grace Leonhardt: "Ooooh... that'd be pretty sick. It would attract grass types too... I think."
  290. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...I can lift stuff or break it down, but that's about the extent of what I can do right now."
  291. Etna: "Good practice for that would be trying to grow plants for food. We'll have to do exploration missions to find seeds and things like that. Hey... Grace? Mars? Act? I found a few locked things I don't want to just break open."
  292. Etna: "Anyone with good control over their body want to try picking locks? I've got two locked drawers and three lockers here."
  293. Grace Leonhardt: "... What would attract fighting types? A dojo? Because that doesn't sound too appealing. Kinda cool, but that's because I'm weeb trash... or was. Eh. Anyway, I can help with construction when I can. I have digited paws, so I could probably work tools. Oh? What'chu find?"
  294. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I can try. I have a set of lockpicks I've been hanging on to."
  295. DNA: So I think it's a Dexterity (Stealth) test, and does the Lockpick give me any bonus to my roll?
  296. Grace Leonhardt: "I don't really know how to lockpick. Though I'm curious to how you do it."
  297. Narrator: Correct. Dex (Stealth)
  298. Pierce Mars Oswell: "The notches in my back really help."
  299. Pierce Mars Oswell: 4+6+1+7=18
  300. Narrator: Lockpicks lowers the TN.
  301. Pierce Mars Oswell: Nice.
  302. Narrator: Drawers or lockers?
  303. Narrator: There's 2 drawers and 3 lockers.
  304. Narrator: Which are you using it on?
  305. Pierce Mars Oswell: The one that Etna points to first.
  306. Narrator: Lol. Copout.
  307. Actinidia: "If we can find a store that hasn't been completely looted we might be able to find garden seeds."
  308. Narrator: Etna. Drawers or lockers.
  309. DNA: It's only a half-copout!
  310. DNA: It makes sense in character!
  311. Avara: etna mentioned the drawers first.
  312. Avara: so drawers.
  313. Actinidia: roll 1dDrawer
  314. DNA: 2
  315. DNA: Done
  316. Grace Leonhardt: "Seeds would be pretty amazing. Actually, does your healing thing speed up growth or is it going to grow natural speeds?"
  317. Actinidia: "I'm not sure. I don't think so, not directly. But I might be able to work it into something that does. Tap into the underlying energy."
  318. Narrator: You find an Exquisite Hat, an Exquisite Sash and an Exquisite Shirt in the first drawer.
  319. Avara: i cast identify magic item.
  320. Narrator: You find a mirror, musical instrument (string) and a first-aid kit in the second drawer.
  321. Narrator: I need a check for the lockers now.
  322. Grace Leonhardt: "Oh! Clothes! Uh... I don't mean to uh... sound selfish but... mind if I have those? I'm the only one wearing clothes right now."
  323. Actinidia: "I'm wearing clothes."
  324. Narrator: Actinidia is wearing a witches hat. Last I recall.
  325. Narrator: I only remember the hat.
  326. Actinidia: Actinidia had a vest, a sash, a pointed hat and a backpack.
  327. Narrator: You all have a packback.
  328. Actinidia: Vest and hat are mentioned in the character's Label, so it wouldn't go unnoticed.
  329. DNA: I just have a backpack and a shield. Clothes aren't top priority. Also I'm not humanoid, so...
  330. DNA: as for the lockers
  331. DNA: 2+6+5+7=20
  332. Narrator: STOP THAT
  333. Grace Leonhardt: (Oop, sorrry retcon the lines then)
  334. DNA: NEVER
  335. DNA: FINCH LIVES
  336. Grace Leonhardt: XD
  337. Narrator: (( How the FUCK did 1d82 roll 3, 4 and 5? ))
  338. DNA: hahahaha
  339. DNA: dank
  340. Narrator: DNA, how many types are there?
  341. Narrator: Fuck it DNA. Just roll 1dtype plz
  342. Narrator: Twice.
  343. DNA: 18
  344. DNA: 18 14
  345. Narrator: Give me the results plz
  346. DNA: I am, apparently, amazing
  347. Narrator: 18 is Water, right?
  348. DNA: Fairy and Ghost, in that order-
  349. DNA: oh wait, you mean alphabetical?
  350. Narrator: No, I don't care.
  351. Narrator: Fairy and Ghost. That works.
  352. DNA: I just picked the 18 and 14 as they appear on the type chart
  353. Narrator whispers: In the lockers you find: a Fairy Incense, a Ghost Plate and an Absorb Bulb.
  354. Narrator: When Mars opens the lockers he finds, a glittery pink incense, a ghastly purple plate and some synthetic dry bulb.
  355. You whisper to Narrator: Added to my inventory.
  356. Narrator whispers: -1 PP to Fairy techniques, +3 dmg to Ghost techniques and when hit by water, +1 Aura - respectively.
  357. Narrator: So uh, yeah. I uh, dropped things. Yay?
  358. You whisper to Narrator: Oh, I know - my sheet looks it up for me. =D
  359. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Huh, this is...interesting stuff. Some incense, a kind of slab, and...what looks like a plant part."
  360. Pierce Mars Oswell: Test to identify! That's Cunning, right?
  361. Narrator: Yup!
  362. Pierce Mars Oswell: 6+6+6+0=18
  363. Pierce Mars Oswell: SATAN
  364. Narrator: Pokémon Lore is---
  365. Narrator: STOP IT WTF
  366. DNA: NEVER
  367. Narrator: Okay, from now on.
  368. Narrator: YOU CAN'T ROLL FIRST
  369. * Narrator decrees it so.
  370. Narrator: ...Watch this backfires on me harshly.
  371. DNA: Object of your Attention, and That Makes me Wonder, I suppose
  372. DNA: Perception roll:
  373. DNA: 6+4+2+3=15
  374. Narrator: Permission to control Mars for a moment?
  375. DNA: sssssssure
  376. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Well now, this is some interesting trinkets." Pierce Mars Oswell picks up the trinkets and ponders their function. On the moment he realizes what they are - thanks to that magazine from before! - he leans back and slips on his back from his incredbily smooth hide and goes flying into a wall. A click echoes and the side walls raise, revealing a storage area - full of blankets, bedsheets and pillows, and a resting area with three kind sized beds. All intact.
  377. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce Mars Oswell looks down and picks up one of the trinkets he dropped - only to find out it wasn't one of the ones he dropped at all! He picks up some kind of spectacles of which he recognizes instantly as well.
  378. Pierce Mars Oswell whispers: You find - you bastard - Choice Specs.
  379. You whisper to Narrator: looooooooooooooooooooool
  380. Pierce Mars Oswell: There is nothing else in, or beside, this room. Of that I am declaring.
  381. Actinidia: "That was a completely believable sequence of events I will not question."
  382. DNA: three king sized beds
  383. DNA: oh my god
  384. Narrator: Mars is Sherlock Holmes now.
  385. Narrator: I cannot unsee.
  386. Grace Leonhardt: "Uh... well that answers on where we're gonna find some supplies real quick."
  387. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Clearly there are many secrets here we've yet to accidentally uncover." He said that with absolutely no confidence in the statement, just as dumbfounded as everyone else.
  388. * Etna is just staring blankly. And kind of bummed out she'll never find a comy bed once she evolves.
  389. Grace Leonhardt: "What happened there? Did the wall have something against you or...?"
  390. Actinidia: "Did you figure out what those items were? Or do you want me to have a look?"
  391. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I kinda figured them out. I'll set them out."
  392. Grace Leonhardt: "I'll help you!"
  393. Pierce Mars Oswell: "This incense here, makes it easier to utilize sparkly pink aura - you use less of it, and become more efficient."
  394. Pierce Mars Oswell: "This plate strengthens and focuses ethereal aura to become more powerful, so it's more concentrated."
  395. Pierce Mars Oswell: "This bulb here... It reacts to water and resonates with aura when it does."
  396. Pierce Mars Oswell: "And these spectacles just make it easier to utilize aura. Keeps your eyes focused."
  397. Actinidia: "resonates how?"
  398. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I think it converts the water into an aura form, which its holder can then absorb."
  399. DNA: OOC: Fairy Incense, Ghost Plate, Absorb Bulb, and Choice Specs
  400. Narrator: Choice Specs:
  401. http://www.daveswork.com.au/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/900x/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/8/2/8202bk_web_hero_1_.jpg
  402. Narrator: Cannot unsee.
  403. DNA: DEAL WITH IT
  404. Avara: darkglasses: http://pettynuzlockelg.smackjeeves.com/comics/1035662/bonus-darkglasses-part-2/
  405. Etna: "Act and I could both probably use the glasses pretty well. I uh... don't really know about the rest."
  406. Narrator: Choice Specs and other hold items:
  407. http://new4.fjcdn.com/comments/Choice+specs+mewtwo+z+3ds+power+buttons+will+never+_6dbf21dcd6047d8130c579178749194c.jpg
  408. Narrator: Okay I'll stop.
  409. Grace Leonhardt: "Yeah... though I think the cloest to water is you Etna. Though sparkly pink is probably fairy and that kinda kicks my arse till I gt some steel.
  410. Actinidia: "I'm holding the Eviolite. If I hand it off I could use the glasses."
  411. Etna: "Ice and water are very different in Pokemon type science, though."
  412. Grace Leonhardt: "Yeah, that's why I said close silly."
  413. Etna: "I think I'll hold onto the glasses. The incense and the plate don't really sound useful for any of us right now, but it might be a good idea to hold onto them until we find someone who'd use them better, or learn to use them ourselves. Arceus might want the plate if they ever come back around."
  414. DNA: catching up AYYYYYYYYYYYYY WINECAT
  415. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Arceus is ethereal? But you're right in that I'm not sure any of us will find these things expressly useful."
  416. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...Actinidia probably needs the Eviolite more than me right now."
  417. Etna: "Arceus can use plates like this to change what he is."
  418. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Oh. I didn't know that."
  419. Grace Leonhardt: "If we're holding onto them, dibs on the sparkly stuff. If other's don't know they won't expect fighting from me if I smell like that!"
  420. Etna: "That's fine. Who should hold onto the bulb?"
  421. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I think you. You're probably the most in danger of getting hit by water."
  422. Pierce Mars Oswell: "...I am too, but I'm more of a direct hitter than an indirect one."
  423. Etna: "I guess. Not sure how it'll interact with the glasses."
  424. * Etna equips Absorb Bulb and Choice Specs.
  425. DNA: Shall I delete those 2 from my inventory right now?
  426. Narrator: Yeah, prolly.
  427. Avara: yes
  428. Avara: pretty sure the benefits won't stack, but i can hold onto the bulb.
  429. DNA: It is done
  430. Narrator: So, are we just gonna fast forward or something? The RP just kinda stopped.
  431. DNA: I think it may be safe to fast-forward to something else.
  432. Narrator: DNA, roll 1d3
  433. Grace Leonhardt: Ye.
  434. DNA: As for this room, do we need to rest and wait for the next day or something, or is there still unfinished business toda-
  435. DNA: wait why me
  436. Narrator: Because your numbers are maximumer.
  437. DNA: 2
  438. Narrator: kthx
  439. DNA: now you roll 1d3 for kicks
  440. Avara: 1
  441. Narrator: I did before you. I rolled 1.
  442. DNA: THE PROPHECY
  443. Avara: hover over the 1
  444. Narrator: How long do you all rest?
  445. DNA: ...lel
  446. Narrator: 6 hours?
  447. Grace Leonhardt: I'd say a good rest.
  448. Narrator: 6 hours then. So you rest until 6:12 PM
  449. It is 6:12 PM.
  450. Narrator: 2 eggs lie beside Actinidia when everyone awakens.
  451. Avara: how much does 6 hours heal again?
  452. Actinidia: Actinidia stares at the eggs.
  453. Actinidia: Perception, do I have any idea how long they have until they hatch?
  454. Actinidia: 4+5+5+1=15
  455. Grace Leonhardt: Grace will sit up, rubbing an eye, not fully waking up just yet. Thugh the sight of two objects nearby is a shock enough to speed up the process. Blinking a few times, through the shock and waking up, she'll brainlessly state, "Eggs. Those are eggs."
  456. Actinidia: "They'll hatch in roughly 24 hours."
  457. DNA: How large are these eggs?
  458. Narrator: Tiny.
  459. Grace Leonhardt: "Exactly?"
  460. Actinidia: "No, roughly."
  461. * Etna raises her head up from the curled up pile of dino in the corner, since there were 3 beds, and looks at the group. "Oh. Congratulations, Act."
  462. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Huh. ...They just...appeared out of nowhere?"
  463. Actinidia: "I certainly didn't feel anything."
  464. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Wow. That...certainly takes a lot of discomfort off."
  465. Grace Leonhardt: "...Maybe it's a survival thing? Pokemon are kinda weird in general."
  466. Etna: "It would explain the whole thing in the games where none of the breeders knew where the eggs came from."
  467. Grace Leonhardt: "Well, considering everything will lay eggs now... it would be kinda confusing."
  468. Actinidia: Actinidia cuddled up to the eggs. "I think we should stay here and see what we can work out. Find out what tasks are done here, who does them. How many hands there are, what their incentives are. We might need to get food quickly if having food is what keeps all of these snakes in line."
  469. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Is there a way to tell them apart?" Going to look at the eggs to see if there are any notable or distinguishing features, so that's Cunning (Poke Lore)
  470. Pierce Mars Oswell: 3+4+6+0=13
  471. Grace Leonhardt: "Yeah, that's probably a good idea Act. Better to have the place set up safely first before heading out. That and uh... I don't think it would be the safest to carry eggs around, for them or us."
  472. Narrator whispers: They both appear to be Snivy eggs. Which even without examining them you knew. But they have slight distinctions. You're sure they're going to be born different from each other, physically, you're just not 100% as to how. You get the feeling if you examined other eggs, you'd be able to tell what's inside at just a glance.
  473. Actinidia: Actinidia nodded in agreement. The eggs seemed to be her primary concern.
  474. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Yeah... A place like outside isn't a good place for a kid..."
  475. Actinidia: Actinidia is recovers 9 power.
  476. Etna: "We needed to do defense planning and agriculture planning anyway. So staying is fine."
  477. Avara: sorry i'm not saying much. i'm just kind of in the mentally done zone early. X(
  478. DNA: That's okay. If we really need to, we can get to more planning next week.
  479. DNA: We did get a lot done and have hit a good junction point, if necessary.
  480. Grace Leonhardt: "Yeah. Probably planning out stuff, and seeing what the new followers we have can do..." She'll zone out a bit before perking up, and her tail starts to lazily wag. Her expression changes to a touch of excitement. "Do... do we need a flag? Or do we use an old flag? Because we got a base! Oh man... It's... It's kinda just sinking in now."
  481. Pierce Mars Oswell: "Then there was the bit about needing a map. Or blueprints, or floor plans, or something. I might be able to take a look at it, suggest a few potential formations." (He used to play American football, so IC this suggestion is something he'd say.)
  482. Actinidia: ((I'm sleepy and need to wake up early too, so I'm fine with calling it whenever))
  483. Etna: "A new flag would be better. We don't really have the same history and symbolism going that the states flag had. Mars, can I just go ahead and put you in charge of map acquisition and defense? You and Ura are small enough to find secrets easier."
  484. DNA: (I also need to wake up early!)
  485. Narrator: It's 30 minutes to so it's pretty darn close anyhow.
  486. Actinidia: "Yes. We also need to know the resources on hand and the practices of the previous leader on how to get more. Every day we're not getting food might be one day we're damning our own message of kindness. If kindness doesn't get food in the yard we'll be kicked out real fast."
  487. Pierce Mars Oswell: "I'm fine with that. ...I am small enough that I could find all the nooks and crannies at this point. This won't last long so I should take it as it comes."
  488. Avara: alright. seems like a good calling it point.
  489. * Avara hugs all of you
  490. Grace Leonhardt: Fair enough.
  491. Narrator: Quest completion. New quest start. Lots of roleplay. And some interesting character choices were made.
  492. Narrator: So, looks like a solid 400 XP.
  493. Actinidia: Actinidia is gains 400 experience points.
  494. Etna: Etna is gains 400 experience points.
  495. Pierce Mars Oswell: Pierce Mars Oswell is gains 400 experience points.
  496. Grace Leonhardt: woot
  497. Uraruren: Uraruren is gains 400 experience points.
  498. DNA: 3700 EXP, 800 To Next Level
  499. Grace Leonhardt: Grace Leonhardt is gains 400 experience points.
  500. Avara: i'm so happy ura got that avatar
  501. Grace Leonhardt: sssssecond
  502. Actinidia: Macro request: Experience points defaults to losing experience, which is really weird since that's very rare. Switch them buttons around.
  503. Uraruren: Sounds good.
  504. Avara is disconnected.
  505. Actinidia is disconnected.
  506. Uraruren: Saving campaign and log~
  507. Narrator is disconnected.
  508. You have disconnected.
