15[22:19] <Lewys> [22:14] <~Lewys> "Oh, I... uh... hi. I'm a friend of Klaus's," Lewys says, kind of timidly. It's strange for her usual demeanor, but Mia doesn't know that. She's watching Mia carefully, looking her over, taking stock her appearance for her attitude and how to approach.

15[22:28] * @RioCadaro Mia stands from her chair, her ash blonde hair ruffling down the back of her purple hoodie. A matching purple and white scarf wraps itself around her neck, hugging her with warmth. She's got a slender frame, which fits into her deep blue denim blue jeans. "Oh, so you're one of the ones from Ramtaban?" Her expression at first was drained, but now a smile appears. "I have to thank you
15[22:28] * @RioCadaro for helping Klaus with everything that's happened. Without you guys, I'm not sure how far Klaus would've gotten on his own. I mean, he's got the brains, but....you know what I mean!"
15[22:33] <Lewys> "Oh, he's had my back almost the entire way. He runs off on his own a lot, but he means well," Lewys replies, grinning. She feels rather proud of herself, looking all fancied up in her robe and stuff. "I'm lucky he found me in the city."
15[22:34] * @RioCadaro Mia walks back to the conference table and offers you a chair. "Yeah, he can be pretty useful most of the time, most of which goes over my head just like Dad's talk." She laughs a little, sitting down again to talk to you. "Klaus like his alone time to think things over. It's an Ehrlich thing."
15[22:38] <Lewys> Lewys takes the seat, smiling broadly. "Yeah, actually, he's had me thinking about some things since we got out of Gubrine, really. He's got a close relationship with his Pokemon. I liked it. His arm thing is a little weird, but it was kind of inspiring, you know? I actually had some things I wanted to ask you about."
15[22:41] * @RioCadaro She blinks, a bit surprised at Klaus's weird fetish for electronics inspiring another. "Okay...shoot."
15[22:44] <Lewys> "Well, so, umm..." Lewys isn't sure how to approach this without sounding weird. It IS weird, after all. Hell, even Klaus thought it was weird. "I said Klaus had a level of intimacy with his pokemon. I kind of have something similar." She pets Meri as she speaks, making it apparent that her Pokemon are indeed all around her. Char and Julie are chillaxing in a corner, but Meri and Clark on her person. "... Let me ask you something, how much do you know about the Ronin's powers?"
[22:46] <@RioCadaro> Mia nods a bit. "From what I have been told and know, they're essentially humans spliced with some Pokemon DNA. I'd imagine that sort of power was only obtainable through the military's genetic research. Besides being able to utilize the spliced Pokemon's powers and retaining their human figure almost fully....that's about all I know offhand."
[22:49] <@RioCadaro> (The main room's going to wrap up, but we're going to finish this tonight, okay?)

15[22:54] <Lewys> "Well, I was thinking. What if I could go further than that? They have this crazy invasive medical procedure to get to it, but what if I could find some way to circumvent that and actually become a pokemon?" WELL THERE IT IS. Lewys suddenly clams up, nervous about Mia'
15[22:54] <Lewys> *Mia's reaction.
03[22:59] * @RioCadaro Surprisingly enough, Mia doesn't give you any weird looks, any sneers, or anything. She smiles and asks you a question. "Lewys, do you by chance have a religion that you follow? Perhaps the Arceus belief, or the Pokemon/Human Unity belief?"
15[23:01] <Lewys> "Re-religion?" Lewys says, kind of taken aback. "Well, no, I never really considered any of that. It doesn't really affect my here and now, usually, you know?"
[23:08] <@RioCadaro> Mia nods with the same smile. "I was just curious if that had anything to do with it. You usually don't hear about becoming truly 'one with your Pokemon' unless you're close to the spiritual beliefs of thsoe sorts of religions. But...you're asking me what if? As in...what if it was possible? What would I think of it?" She puts her left hand pointer finger on her chin as she thinks on that,
[23:08] <@RioCadaro> should it be your question.
15[23:10] <Lewys> "Well, I mean, I don't really mind what people think of the idea, but rather, how do I do it?" Lewys's confidence grows. "I'm past the can it happen. I'm convinced it can. The question now is... how?" She smiles. "Klaus said you were closer to pokemon than anyone so I should talk to you about it."
15[23:18] * @RioCadaro She pauses for a moment. "I am very close to the more ancient and mysterious species of Pokemon. Unown, Relicanth...but to BECOME a Pokemon. Hmmm...." She seems to be having difficulty with this one. "Are we talking...changing your body into one as well? Or in the sense of 'thinking like the Pokemon do'?"
15[23:21] <Lewys> "The former. Physically becoming like them. I imagine being able to go out and run with Meri, to play in the lakes with Charbonneau..." Lewys's eyes begin to get dreamy as she thinks of the possibilities. "And... you know, people don't look at a Glameow walking down the streets. They don't pay attention to a simple pokemon that's not out of place. You get anonymity. Incognito. Like a spy."
15[23:28] * @RioCadaro Mia quirks her lips, trying to think of ways. "Well...besies the way the Ronin did it but a more elaborate way...to change your body physically I can only think of a few other things. And those would literally be chasing legendary or mythical Pokemon, save one."
15[23:29] <Lewys> "What's the one?" Lewys asks, interested. "I've actually got a book on legendaries I've been reading, and I think I came across the best one to make it happen, but what's another way?"
15[23:34] * @RioCadaro "Well...the most obvious one that comes to mind that's been proven is Jirachi. The others...Spiritomb may have that sort of power with is trickery. The Unown themselves with the Unown Space have near limitless possibilities, though a majority of the Unown Space is ...well, unknown to humans. Accounts of being sealed away like a timeless prison by them is one thing. They can be Pressed
15[23:34] * @RioCadaro together to gain power...The Prime Unowns ...hmmm..."
15[23:35] * @RioCadaro "It's not so much I don't think they could do it, it's just that the Unown are a collective...like a hivemind in insects. Nobody's really explored the possibility of getting close enough in mind to the Unown to request something like that."

[23:36] <@RioCadaro> "Their ability to use the Unown Space to transport items and individuals....they might just be able to...no."
15[23:37] <Lewys> "Well, Jirachi was the way I found most recently. It seems the safest bet."
[23:40] <@RioCadaro> "Yes...that's what I was thinking too. Jirachi has been known to be a more gentle, non-aggressive Pokemon. The others... Spiritomb, Arceus, or Giratina....not so much."
15[23:42] <Lewys> "Well, what I read was really cryptic. It said something about singing purely. What does that mean?"
[23:44] <@RioCadaro> "Ah...yes...the melody. That piece of the folklore stems from the War of Strife. Do you know about it, perhaps?"
15[23:45] <Lewys> "No. I haven't heard anything about it. What's the War of Strife?"
15[23:56] * @RioCadaro Mia looks down and closes her eyes as she prepares to tell you. "It's said that many generations ago, after the humans had settled on Egondra and warded off the Pokemon's initial vicious attacks, unrest came about them. Humans began to debate amongst one another the usage of Pokemon. They were extremely helpful both early and late in the development of the humans on Egondra. However,
15[23:56] * @RioCadaro the groups began to disagree on just how they were to be used. "
15[23:59] * @RioCadaro "One side, led by Turgha "Shade" Travian, saw the Pokemon as a growing opportunity and that with their help the human race would continue to flourish. The other side, led by Bascarus Helstein, believed that Shade's use of Pokemon would not only cripple the humans' abilities but make them slaves to the Pokemon or vice versa."

15[00:01] * @RioCadaro "Tempers rose, agreements weren't made, and the entirety of the human race on Egondra engaged in all out war to determine how they would continue to develop. Countless men, women, and children gave their lives fighting for what they felt was right. The bloodshed continued and seemingly would not end."
15[00:04] * @RioCadaro "Celes Heldstein, the daughter of Bascarus, could not stand seeing how unreasonable her father was at not stopping the war. She believed that Pokemon and humans would both grow and prosper, just as Shade had envisioned. She fled from her people to join Shade. She fell in love with him, but his purpose was too urgent for him to return her love."
15[00:06] * @RioCadaro "She was saddened by this, and knew that the war had to be stopped. Just as the armies of Shade and Bascarus were preparing for what seemed to be the final battle, Celes stepped out between them, yearning them to stop. 'This pain...these souls...none of them will be eased until you remove the fold from your eyes! I beackon you...as my father...as my love...." The yearning in her heart
15[00:06] * @RioCadaro led her to pour out with tears, singing a peaceful melody of her own composure in attempts to calm their raging souls.
15[00:08] * @RioCadaro This singing awoke Jirachi from his slumber from beneath the battlefield, where it rose and faced Celes. The armies stopped and watched in awe as the Pokemon and human interacted. Celes did not speak, she only gawked at its majesty. One of its three tags then did vanish, and a grand miracle occurred. The countless warriors that had died for their side had been revived with its power,
15[00:08] * @RioCadaro reunited with their families and friends."
15[00:11] <Lewys> "Wow," Lewys replies. "Jirachi can do that?"
[00:12] <@RioCadaro> "So the legend says. It is the Wish Pokemon, so I have no doubt that it could muster that much energy. It's been said that Jirachi's tags are restored by the fufillment of many wishes and the positive energy of all beings on the realm it is around. That seems quite powerful, hence why it is legendary!"
15[00:13] * @RioCadaro The people rejoiced and showered Celes with praise to the miracle she and Jirachi had bestowed upon them. At that moment both leaders were overwhelmed. Bascarus laid down his weapon and ran towards his daughter, tears and words of forgiveness streaming from his body. Shade, ashamed of his ignorance of one so pure and righteous, turned his head and walked away. Celes attempted to break
15[00:13] * @RioCadaro away from the people's praise and keep Shade from leaving, but to no avail. It is said from that point on, Shade continued to flee from Celes, and as such the cycles of night and day are today.
15[00:14] * @RioCadaro *As Celes continued to search for her love across the land.
15[00:18] * @RioCadaro Mia looks up again after finishing the story. "And that's where the legend gets its grounds."
15[00:20] <Lewys> "Wow..." Lewys say in awe. "So, can Jirachi really be woken now? I mean, we're in a big thing with the Criterion. I wonder... It makes my wish seem kind of selfish..."
15[00:23] * @RioCadaro Mia nods. "Usually it awakens after its thousand-year hybernation, when the Millenium Comet passes. But there has been a few accounts of possible Jirachi awakenings besides that. But none of them have involved that pure singing..."
15[00:27] <Lewys> "Well, then, the question is... how?" Lewys says. "I just don't know yet. It's kind of discouraging, I'll admit. I don't know where to go now. I've been challenging gym leaders so far. I want to be one someday."
[00:29] <@RioCadaro> "Yeah?" Mia quirks her mouth, then curls it up to a smile after looking you over. "With those kinds of questions, I can see you becoming one. You and your Pokemon must be pretty close for you to want to be like them at such a higher level. I'd invite you to challenge me...but with all the happenings going on, I'm not so sure I'd give you my best, so I'd have to decline."
15[00:30] <Lewys> "Yeah. I didn't want to push anything right now. I can come back. I figure if I go off towards someone else, they'll be ready when I get there, maybe."
[00:31] <@RioCadaro> "Yeah...the other Gym Leaders should be more accomodating. I do apologize."
15[00:31] * @RioCadaro She rubs her head, laughing in a sheepish manner.
15[00:33] <Lewys> "No, no, really, you seem the most under pressure, what with Klaus being your brother and all. I already kind of decided I was going to come back anyway. No worries. I'm just glad I got to get some direction and talk to someone like you."
[00:36] <@RioCadaro> "It's not very often someone comes to me and simply wants to talk. It's...refreshing to know people can treat me like a person and not 'the hardest Gym Leader evar'." She laughs, lifting her spirits.
15[00:37] <Lewys> "Are you the hardest?" Lewys answers without missing a beat, laughing all the while. "Who actually is the cream of the crop of you guys, anyway?"
[00:38] <@RioCadaro> "Well, considering how close I am to the Pokemon League, the fact I try to go there regularly to train my Pokemon, and given Mirasol's less-than-forgiving weather....I guess that's me. Though I'm not a big fan about boasting about it..."
15[00:41] <Lewys> "The league's near here?" Lewys says, interested. "Well, I will have to be ready for that eventually. I have a question, though, how did you get to be a gym leader? What do I need to do, other than battle you all?"
[00:43] <@RioCadaro> "Once you finish battling each of us, you'll head to the Pokemon League to challenge the Elite Four. Once you defeat them, you are eligible to take the Pokemon Gym Leader Certification Trials. Battle tests, written tests, interviews...that sort of thing. Once you're approved there, you can be a Gym Leader at any city in the world that has a spot available. Sometimes they make a new spot for
[00:43] <@RioCadaro> you. Similar to what they did for Gubrine. MacHarlock wasn't always there as a Gym Leader, y'know."
15[00:45] <Lewys> "What if I found a new town?" Lewys asks, having an idea.
[00:49] <@RioCadaro> "It's possible...though difficult. They'd have to take into account those that have already collected all the Badges from the other Gym Leaders, as well as the location of the town. Like I said, possible though."
15[00:52] <Lewys> "Well, we'll see after I get to everything. I have been thinking about it, though. A place to call home. We lost Ramtaban, so aren't we short one gym leader?"
[00:55] <@RioCadaro> "Yes...unfortunately Ramtaban's leader, Brian, was involved in the attack. So we are short one leader."
15[00:56] <Lewys> "Yeah..." Lewys says, looking at her feet. "It'd be nice to be able to honor him by proving I'm good enough. I was raised in Ramtaban, after all..."
[00:57] <@RioCadaro> Mia stands up and puts a hand on your shoulder. "With ambitions like that, I think you've definitely got a shot at that. Keep it up, and keep getting stronger, and you may have to deal with challengers just like me!"
15[01:04] * Lewys grins. "I'm hoping so. It's kind of my dream to make a name for myself. I was just a little street rat kid in Ramtaban. I'm gonna be a someone now."
