- I know. Reading notes on how to format properly with BBCode is hard. We all know you have difficult reading already.
- The reason for this is to educate people about the latestmod from T3nd0, "Perkus Maximus"--and the issues they could
- experience with their games if they try to install it. I, and others, have
- brought these issues up on the PM mod page, but we have found our posts deleted We do that when you complain like an idiot or flame the mod.
- (and we have been attacked by the mod author and his "fanbois"). We
- feel these things should have been mentioned of the mod's page, or at least in
- the stickies, but the mod author disagrees (so we Are you like a group of people? are doing it this way to hopefully
- save some of you a huge headache).
- First of all, if you run a small number of mods the odds areyou will have little problem with PM. Unfortunately for many others, this mod
- suffers from various bugs and incompatibility issues that increase with the I have 115 mods. No issues here. You know how? Running PaMa, LOOT and making a bashed patch. And cleaning my masters, ofc.
- number of mods you run. By installing this mod you run the risk of it
- irrevocably harming your game. Same for any mod. We have heard of issues from just someone's
- saved games being corrupted, all the way to folks having to do complete re-installations
- of Skyrim. Even for people who have gotten the game to run--the best case
- scenario is you will spend many hours troubleshooting (and the patcher alone
- has taken some people upwards of 10 hours to run) What? Use the moreHeapspace one. Also that's ridiculous and probably more like 10 min.. To get a more comprehensive idea of what harmthe mod can cause, you can simply read PM’s page (although they have started
- deleting posts as it appears they wantto downplay the issues the mod has been causing).
- Probably the biggest detail that has been left out of themod's description page (and one you should know) is that the Patcher can only
- be run once per game. I... What? I've run it... 16, 17, 23 times already on one game. If you run it more than once, you risk your game
- suffering from any number of random bugs (some minor, some may be game
- breaking). What this means is that *every time* you want to add or delete a
- mod, or update a mod, you actually have to start a completely *new game*. Nope. You
- can run it more than once if you don’t mind small bugs here and there, but the
- more you run the patcher during a play through, the more you increase your odds
- of having a game breaking issue (such as your saved games no longer loading, or
- NPCs having unbalanced skillsets, missing items, duplicate items etc.)
- I'm afraid PM was released too early and with insufficienttesting (they claim otherwise). Our advice is to avoid the mod for at least a
- few months until the kinks are worked out. For those that want to use it now,
- we'll post some tips for minimizing the problems with the mod. There is near an
- infinite number of possible setups/mods configurations people can have, but we
- will be addressing some of the most common issues. If you have come across an
- issue (or the solution), feel free to post it in our forums. Linky? I Is it I or we? Please, tell me. I'm confused. will also be
- working on a way to fix some of the bugs that happen with the Skyproc patcher
- and PM, Erm... Is this allowed even? I doubt you'd bother to get the permissions anyway. and that will be forthcoming (hopefully) soon. Unless your mod is taken down.
