  1. >The streets are bustling with activity.
  2. >Traders have their wares on display for the eager buyers filling the small area.
  3. >You keep walking, knowing none of these stalls have what you want.
  4. >After a few minutes, you see what you were searching for.
  5. >The pony trader.
  6. >You notice there is only one other person there.
  7. >As you approach, he turns towards you.
  8. >He gives you a crooked smile, and you can instantly tell he has dark intentions for this day.
  9. >Choosing to ignore him, you look towards the trader.
  10. >There are only two ponies for sale.
  11. >A yellow mare with a long pink mane, and another mare, this one blue and with an odd assortment of colors in her mane.
  12. >Both of them look like they haven't been bathed or properly fed in weeks.
  13. >As you're inspecting them, the trader, who is sitting in a chair behind them, looks at his watch.
  14. >"Welp, I guess it's time." he says as he stands up.
  15. >"I was hoping for a bigger turn out, but oh well."
  16. >He walks over to the ponies, and grabs the chain connected to both of their collars.
  17. >He pulls the blue on towards him, and it is then that you notice that she's a pegasus.
  18. >You also notice her wings are tied down to prevent her from flying.
  19. >Looking at the yellow one, you see she is one too, but her wings are free.
  20. >"Come here you little shit!"
  21. >Looking back at the blue one, you see she is struggling.
  22. >The trader gives one hard tug and she is forced to his side.
  23. >He then grabs her by the chin, and looks her dead in the eyes.
  24. >He starts to snarl at her in a hushed tone.
  25. >"Listen you damn horse. You've been nothing but a pain in my ass since I got you, so you better behave and let me sell you, or this'll be the last auction you'll ever be in."
  26. >He gives her head a jerk before he let's go, and before he can pull his hand away, she bites him right on the pinkie finger.
  27. "AAAAHH!"
  28. >Pulling his arm back, he brings it back down full force, backhanding her across the cheek.
  29. >"OW, You JACKASS!"
  30. >"I told you to BEHAVE!"
  31. >As he yelled the last word, he stomped on her chain, forcing her to hit the floor.
  32. >He turns towards you and the crooked man, and gives a toothy grin.
  33. >"Let's start with this one."
  34. >He let's up on her chain, allowing her to sit upright again.
  35. >"This ones a little feisty, but with a little discipline, she'll be obedient in no time. Let's start her bidding at... two hundred."
  36. >You raise your hand to place your bid.
  37. >"I have two hundred. Do I see two fifty?"
  38. >The crooked man doesn't say anything. He just keeps glancing at the yellow one with the same crooked smile.
  39. >The trader, seeing that he's not getting any more out of her, looks a little irritated.
  40. >"I guess not. SOLD! To this gentleman right here."
  41. >You walk up and pull out the proper amount of money.
  42. >After handing him the money, he hands you the chain and paperwork for the pony.
  43. >"Heh heh heh, enjoy your purchase, stranger."
  44. >You only give a nod in response, having learned a while ago not to engage in conversation with these people.
  45. >You turn and start to walk away, your new purchase in tow.
  46. >You get about ten feet away when she starts to pull against you.
  47. "Come, little one. Don't struggle."
  48. >"No, please, you have to help her!"
  49. >Turning to look at your pony, you see she has her eyes locked on the yellow mare being shown off by the trader.
  50. >Tears are streaming down the yellow ones face.
  51. >The crooked man is giving her a very hungry stare.
  52. >"Please? She's been my friend since we were filly's. I can't just leave her alone."
  53. >Giving one last glance at the yellow one, you turn around and start heading home again.
  54. "Sorry, little one. But I only had plans to buy one of you today."
  55. >You get a few more feet away before she starts to pull even harder.
  56. >"Please! I'll do anything you want! Just please get her out of there before something bad happens to her!"
  57. >Stopping in your tracks, you turn and face the blue one.
  58. "Does she really mean that much to you? Is she worth it?"
  59. >"I would do anything to guarantee her safety."
  60. >She gives you a look of pure determination.
  61. >Sighing in defeat, you start to head back.
  62. >The trader had already started her bidding at four hundred.
  63. >You get there right as he's about to seal the deal.
  64. "Four fifty."
  65. >The trader looks at you in confusion, and the crooked man gives you a look that could curdle milk.
  66. >"Okay? Four fifty. Do I hear four seventy five?"
  67. >"Four seventy five!"
  68. >The crooked man gives you a shit eating grin.
  69. "Five hundred."
  70. >The shit eating grin drops and you can see him clenching his teeth.
  71. >"Five twenty five!"
  72. >The trader is starting to smile with the thought of the payout he's about to receive.
  73. "Five fifty."
  74. >Looking at the yellow one, you see she has stopped crying and is giving you a look of complete shock.
  75. >"Five seventy five!"
  76. >You see the crooked man starting to sweat.
  77. >He must be reaching his limit.
  78. >With one final grin, you shoot him out of the bidding once and for all.
  79. "Eight hundred."
  80. >The trader has the biggest grin in his face and the crooked mans jaw has dropped.
  81. >"Eight hundred!? Wow, um... do I hear eight twenty five?"
  82. >The crooked man just looks at you in defeat before turning around and walking away.
  83. >"Sold! To the gentleman from before!"
  84. >As you walk up to pay the trader, the blue one runs over and gives the yellow one a hug.
  85. >After all is said and done, you're on your way back home, with two ponies in tow.
  86. >The yellow one is leaning on the blue one while they walk behind you.
  87. >She had started crying again, but this time, her tears were from joy.
  88. >The blue one was smiling with tears in her eyes.
  89. >Smiling internally, you turn the corner to your estate.
  90. "Well little ones, we're here."
  91. >They both look up at your home, mouths agape in awe at the size of it.
  92. >The blue one is the first to speak.
  93. >"This is your house?"
  94. "Yes, now let's not dawdle. I want you to meet the others."
  95. >"The others?"
  96. "You're not my first pony purchases, little ones."
  97. >"Rainbow Dash."
  98. >you turn towards her and see she has a look of slight irritation.
  99. "Excuse me?"
  100. >"My NAME is Rainbow Dash, not 'little one'."
  101. >You kneel in front of her, and she dons a look of defiance.
  102. >Yellow one watches you two, fear filling her eyes.
  103. "Rainbow Dash, hmm?"
  104. >She slowly nods, still seeming apprehensive.
  105. "Well then. My name is Anonymous. You may address me as 'Sir'."
  106. >Rainbow glares at you.
  107. "Or Anon, if it better suits you."
  108. >She drops her defiant look and cocks her head in confusion.
  109. "And what is your name, little one?" you say to the yellow one.
  110. >She doesn't say anything, she just drops her head.
  111. >"Her name is-"
  112. "Shush!" you put your hand in front of Rainbow's face. "I want to hear it from her."
  113. >You put you hand on the yellow ones chin and gently pull her head up.
  114. "Go ahead and tell me. I don't bite."
  115. >She looks into your eyes for a second, looking to see if you mean what you say.
  116. >"Fl-flut...."
  117. "I'm sorry?"
  118. >Fl-fluttershy... s-sir."
  119. >With a warm smile, you stand up.
  120. "Well then Fluttershy. Rainbow Dash. Shall we?"
  121. >You turn back towards your house and start heading inside.
  122. >As you reach the front door, you open it and step aside.
  123. "Why don't you two step in first? Don't worry, I mean no ill will towards you two."
  124. >They both look at each other and start to head inside.
  125. >You walk in behind them and shut the door.
  126. "Welcome, little ponies, to your new home."
  127. >You are Rainbow Dash.
  128. >And you can't believe your eyes.
  129. >This humans house is huge!
  130. >It's even bigger than it looked from outside!
  131. >As you take in the sites, you hear the human start walking past you.
  132. >"So how do you like it?"
  133. >After walking in front of you, he turns and looks at you both.
  134. >You still don't trust this human, so your not going to give him the satisfaction of answerin-
  135. >"It's beautiful!"
  136. >Fluttershy!
  137. >"I've been in this world for a while now, and I've never seen any place so... so... extravagant!"
  138. >This makes the human smile.
  139. >He turns around and looks at it himself.
  140. >"Really? This old place? Why it's nothing more than-"
  141. >Ignoring him, you grab Fluttershy and pull her close to you.
  142. "What are you doing!?" you say in an extremely hushed, but urgent tone.
  143. >"I was just complimenting him on his house. Why?"
  144. >Her tone was hushed like yours, but calm.
  145. "We can't trust these humans! After everything they've done!"
  146. >"Rainbow Dash, we can trust him."
  147. "Yeah? And how do you know that?!"
  148. >"I looked into his eyes. I saw no malice in there."
  149. >You're about to retort when the human turned back to you.
  150. >"And that's all there is to this place. So nothing special."
  151. >You glare at him, while Fluttershy walks towards him.
  152. >"That was a wonderful story, sir."
  153. >...
  154. >Ohmigosh.
  155. >She just called him sir.
  156. >"Didn't you say something about other ponies?"
  157. >"Ah yes, I did. If you would be so kind as to follow me, oh wait, let me take those off of you first."
  158. >He walks up to Fluttershy and removes her collar.
  159. >She doesn't even flinch when he touches her.
  160. >After taking hers off, he walks over to you and kneels down to take yours.
  161. >You back away from him when he reaches for you.
  162. >"Do you really want to keep that on?"
  163. >After a second you walk back to him.
  164. >"That's what I thought."
  165. >He reaches his hands towards your neck again.
  166. >You tense up when you feel him touch you with those human fingers.
  167. >Disgusting.
  168. >After messing with the latch for a second, he takes yours off as well.
  169. >"I don't think we'll be needing these anymore." he says as he throws them off to the side. "We'll get rid if them later."
  170. >It feels good to have that thing off.
  171. >You roll your neck for a second to stretch, followed by stretching your win-
  172. >The pressure of the wing lock is still there.
  173. "Hey, human. What about this?" you say as you point at the strap.
  174. >"Sir."
  175. >You growl for a second.
  176. "Fine SIR, what about my wings."
  177. >He looks you straight in the eyes for a second.
  178. >"I think we'll keep that on for just a bit longer."
  179. "WHAT?!"
  180. >"How do I know you're not going to fly off first chance you get?"
  181. >You just glare at him because you know that you would as soon as you could.
  182. >Only if you can convince Fluttershy to go with you.
  183. >"With that matter settled, let's be on our way then."
  184. >He turns and starts walking deeper into the house.
  185. >Fluttershy starts to follow him without hesitation.
  186. >You were thinking of just staying here, but if he decided to do something to her, you wouldn't be there to stop him.
  187. >You start to follow them deeper into the house.
  188. >As you three are walking, you notice that Fluttershy is holding a conversation with the human.
  189. >How can she put her trust in one of them.
  190. >They've done nothing but cause harm to ponykind.
  191. >As the three of you continue to walk, you hang back a bit.
  192. >They don't even notice you distancing yourself.
  193. >You continue walking for a couple more minutes before you notice they've stopped and are waiting for you to catch up.
  194. >"Are you alright, Rainbow Dash?" asks the human.
  195. >You just grunt in response.
  196. "Why would you care?"
  197. >"Because, Rainbow Dash, you are now a member of my household. And I care for all members of my house."
  198. >You scoff in response.
  199. >"So, as I asked previously, are you alright, Rainbow Dash?"
  200. >You give him a dirty look.
  201. "I'm just peachy, SIIIR."
  202. >You sneered at him as you said that last word.
  203. >Fluttershy looks at you with fear in her eyes.
  204. >The human gives you a deadpan look.
  205. >"Hmm. Very well, miss 'Peachy'. Fluttershy, as much as I would like to continue our conversation, I think it'll be best if you stay with her to make sure she can keep up."
  206. >...
  207. >Miss PEACHY?!
  208. >"Yes sir." she says with a nod before walking back to you.
  209. >"Now then, if you two will follow me, I will take you to your quarters so that you may clean up. If I know those damned traders, you two weren't taken care of very well."
  210. >He turns and starts walking again.
  211. >Fluttershy starts walking too.
  212. >You reluctantly follow, if only for the chance to clean this filth off of you.
  213. >The filth of these damn humans.
