this is why you go axe Vs hammer, you need to focus on balance, in which case Sight (10), Swarming(4), Strider(10) and Fierce(10) es' will come into play when calculating both max dmg and balance. GFS all the way though. It seems slow, but it's worth it for the AoE clears of 100k+ w/o ele, assuming you have 800+ str, max damage enchanted gear and good timing with GFS for the 1090% multiplier

Also, for giants, Use a fanatic to bash or use a Morning Star + Celtic Royal Warrior Hammer, potentially fanatic bash on giants are better though. Sorry for teh wall of text
