1.The beginning
The world was created from the essence of First Eidolon, a creature of unknown origin, form and name. It was defeated by Four Gods and his enormous body was shattered, turning into land, creatures and lesser eidolons.Thus began the Gods' reigh. Four gods were:
-Seryuu, the inspiring leader, talented diplomat and ruler of the seas. After First Eidolon's defeat he became leader and lawmaker, governing lifes of creatures and directing his fellow gods
-Byakko, honorable, but prideful warrior who sought mastery over magic. This made him unable to use magic, but able to physically hold and disable energy flow.
-Genji, the artisan whose armor was impervous to anything. He created many intricate machines, was Byakko's teacher and together with Suzaku unified machinery and magic, creating the Magitek.
-Suzaku, delver of arcane and great artist.
Influenced by them, three races of Light rose, evolving from life formed on the planet's surface: Brave and faithful Hume, Strong and valorous Mithra and resillent and crafty Bangaa. Suzaku retreated into the depths of planet to further advance his studies.
Their rule lasted for 5 000 years, during which races advanced greatly, creating towers to the sky, mighty moving cities and even researching other planets and dimensions. Until one fateful day.
At one fateful day, the volcanoes of the planet erupted and earth itself tembled and cracked. Along with lava and soot the catastrophe brought bright-red shards of crystal to the surface, along with small scared creatures consisting of raw magic encased within enchanted cloth, wood and metal - Yula. They were messengers - and they brought bad news. Suzaku was dead, broken into shards like First Eidolon was broken originally. What arrived after was a colossal figure fully encased in armor and wielding a weapon able to cleave cities, mountains and earth itself flawlessly. It led an army of short but very strong creatures, enthralled to his will. Its name was Odin - it was probably the last self-aware fragment of First Summon. Fearing that the battle will bring devastation to the world Seryuu tried to push back and defeat Odin by himself - a decision that proved to be a fatal mistae. Only timely intervention of Genbu and Byakko saved him, and Genbu was fatally wounded in the process. Odin was defeated, dwarves, now free, took his magicite and sealed it, returning to underground - but Genbu died and crystallized right before his comrades' eyes.
Byakko, devastated and and angered, renounced all ties to Seryuu and went off to the east, unifying Mithra and Bangaa. As time passed, his grudge grew only stronger and ultimately he openly demanded him to renounce his status of a leader and receive punishment for his mistake - the same fate which befell Suzaku and Genbu. As Seryuu arrived before him, anger took over Byakko and he attacked his former comrade, who was forced to retalitate. Two simultaneously dealt a killing blow and crystallized together near the Highwind Shore, from now on called Strifewind. And so, while their remained as Crystals, the Gods themselves were no more.
