- bg trailer song feedback for kf
- low pad @ start is good
- the chords and !!! feel @ start are perfect
- overdrive gtar is a bit too abrasive but the idea of the section is good for ship crash
- main thing with the old trailer song (which is the teaser song now) is bg's gameplay is very smooth and flowy.
- im defo working on adding more fast movements to the game to match the teaser track's tempo but
- overall burrito's movement is very simple so sections in the song that have a lot of scattered movement and kinda
- sound like a harmonization would be hard to find good footage for, cuz everything in bg just moves on sine waves
- and springs, so there'd be a lot of audiovisual dissonance i guess this is particularly applicable
- to the trailer cuz the way we decided on was that the teaser introduces a bunch of questions
- super fast (the teaser vid needs tons of cuts to match the rhythm of the music) and
- the trailer answers them and kinda shows like "ok really tho this is a real game look" and kinda invites u in.
- basically the mindset i feel for bg as a video game is it starts off inviting + perplexing and establishes a
- formula w/ hints of dissonance then builds up to a big overturn in mood into something a lil more strange.
- i think a (at least slightly) tanglble build up in tension over the course of the song would be super good, as that's kinda how the game
- will be structured. we have a lot of slow/mid-tempo footage but we defo wanna develop a lot of intense footage to build
- up to in the trailer
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPtbIeQWP3Y rly good instrumentation and sonic depth, 3/4 is kinda cool idk?
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgacxbSdObw some nice progressions here, good ??? vibe @ some points
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtaxmLmsPJU another kaiba but just emphasizing cool buildup over time
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HNkKPssSmM kinda thought pikmin vibes would match but idk, the tempo in this song is p burrito-like tho
- (its up to u how u wanna interpret it, mainly just ideas not constraints or anything)
