My First Day Intro

     My ears are flooded by a cacophony of high-frequencies as my soothing dream fades to black.  I thrash about to relieve myself of the blankets that had tangled around my limbs in my sleep, all while attempting to identify the alarming noise filling my cochleas. While continuing my search for this offensive noise I peer over to a red glow in the shape of "5:45".  Upon closer inspection these numbers formulate inside my head until I realized that my alarm clock was the source of the noise.  As I begin to bang on my alarm clock the noise halts and I'm finally left in my dark room with my thoughts and revelations.
     "Today is my first day" I whisper into the darkness, hoping the silence would give me some pity. However after realizing that I was alone I slowly slid out of bed and walked to the bathroom across the hall. Being an only child I suppose that it can be called "my" bathroom.
    As I walk to my bathroom I sense another entity beyond the closed door.   Checking the crack between the door and the floor confirms my suspicions, for there is a light shining.  Remembering my gentlemanly manners I knock on the door and wait for a response... No response; I knock again... No response... I knock a third time ... No response.  Losing my patience and control of my bladder, I barge into the room through the mysteriously unlocked door.
    After getting ready for my first day of school I slip on my hi-top sneakers and step through our front door which was also unlocked, hmm I remember hearing my dad lock all of these doors.  What possibly could have changed these? My dad was still in bed.  Oh well I'm getting late for the bus.  So I walk fast down the sidewalk, gazing at our moving truck as I pass.  My stop is just at the end of the road where I'm met by a shy Mantis girl and an ever smiling Cheshire. Upon meeting the smug cat I instantly shove my earbuds in and play "The Object of my Affection" by Harley Poe.
