Ive played World of Warcraft off and on since its release in 2004, and I played Warcraft 2 & 3 before it. After finishing the last quest in Nagrand last night, I can safely say the Warlords of Dreanor questing has been the best of any expansion. Although I havent gotten to the end game content which ive heard was bad. So here is my tier list of QUESTING in expansions

1. Warlords of Dreanor
2. Wrath of the Lich King
3. Mists of Pandaria
4. Catacalysm
5. Burning Crusade
6. Vanilla

Now if were just going to talk about end game content and just the overall experience of playing the game, here is my tier list for my favorite expansions in wow

1. Wrath of the Lich King
2. Vanilla
3. Burning Crusade
4. Warlords of Draenor
5. Mists of Pandaria
6. Catacalysm

Why is Warlords so high might you ask? I really really enjoyed the questing experience much more than I did that of any other expansion. I think that a linear and streamlined questing experience is always better. I understand why people say that they prefer a more open questing experience, but in my opinion, there was alot of problems with that style of questing. It honestly felt to me like it was just bad quest design to have someone run around all over the place the whole time questing. And questing in Vanilla and BC honestly felt like much more of a chore. All I wanted to do was get through all the quests so that I could get to the end game content, where as in the later expansions, I actually stopped to smell the roses. And while I much prefer the more recent quest design, I do agree that the end game content quality dropping off has been a bit of a let down.

My favorite experience in all of World of Warcraft has probably gotta be the release of Ulduar and my guilds first run of it with no one knowing any of the bosses or anything. That was really fun.

I also hated Catacalysm the most and thought it was lame.
