  3. --Will you ever have Abdullah the Butcher on the show?
  4.
  5. Dave: Ugh .... no (laughs)
  6.
  7. Bryan: There's only so many questions (to ask), well I guess there's a lot of questions to ask him
  8.
  9. Dave: No, no, no, no. I saw an interview that RF Video did with Abdullah the Butcher where they went to his House of Ribs Chinese restaurant, and it was like the most boring interview that I've ever heard in my entire life. We've had some good shows and we've had some bad shows, and I just don't want a boring show that I know is going to be boring ahead of time.
  10.
  11. Dave: Here's one you'll like Bryan
  12. --Did Stu Hart and Strangler Lewis ever face each other, or did Stu come into the business after Ed? If they faced each other, who do you think would have won the match?
  13.
  14. Bryan: All I have to say about Stu Hart, we actually talked about this yesterday, I mean I'm sure he was a really tough guy, but if you watch Wrestling With Shadows he's pummeling these two guys, how old do you think those two dudes were?
  15.
  16. Dave: Carl Leduc? The guy he was stretching?
  17.
  18. Bryan: Yeah
  19.
  20. Dave: I don't know, Carl is probably mid to late 20s
  21.
  22. Bryan: Okay the other guy was a mid to late 20s guy, and if you watch the end of the movie Stu Hart can barely walk up a hill. With all due respect to Stu Hart, if you put some guy face down on the mat, get behind him and put him in a choke, you are going to take him down. I'm not sure if Stu Hart, I don't know, really could have held his own in an actual competitive situation with someone who actually know what they were doing, maybe he could have. I've heard a lot of stories (that) most of the time when Stu stretched the crap out of somebody, your grandma could have done the exact same thing if they were put in that position.
  23.
  24. Dave: Well, he used to work out with those football players and those football players, the thing is Stu had the knowledge and they didn't have the knowledge.
  25.
  26. Bryan: Yeah, it's the same thing we talk about in the UFC, it's all the rules. If you put a boxer in with a wrestler, it's going to be like the whole Gracie deal. You put someone who knows jiu-jitsu in with a kickboxer, it's like a totally different game.
  27.
  28. Dave: Yeah, it's like if you put any good boxer and then brought football players in the ring with him, the boxer will kill the football player because he's not a boxer. If you don't believe it, remember the tough-man stuff (featuring) NFL players? They had Lawrence Taylor and Anthony Munoz, I mean those are two of the greatest football players of all time, maybe the two greatest at their position. Watching them in there with boxing gloves, and granted their retired now, they had zero clue. You could have taken any bad boxer and they would have beaten the crap out of them, because it's their game.
  29.
  30. Bryan: (and) take that boxer and put him on a football field....
  31.
  32. Dave: Oh, and they get killed.
  33.
  34. Bryan: Yeah, just murdered.
  35.
  36. Dave: As far as Stu Hart and Strangler Lewis, the reality of Strangler Lewis is that nobody knows anything about that time because Strangler Lewis probably had 6 shoots or 10 shots his whole life. He had a reputation for being really, really tough. By the time Stu came into pro wrestling, Strangler Lewis was actually still around. I doubt they ever wrestled each other, although it's a possibility because their careers at the very beginning would have overlapped, It just would have never been in a shoot situation. What Strangler Lewis did was worked matches that looked more like shoots than they do now, and he had a reputation among everyone in the business as being the real deal. I have no doubt he wasn't, in his prime, but his prime was like 1915.
  37.
  38. Bryan: Remember that story you were telling that one day about how you were hanging out with Shamrock and some of those Lions Den guys?
  39.
  40. Dave: The Hells Angels story?
  41.
  42. Bryan: Yeah, the situation. What if you had been standing there and Shamrock and his guys just totally brutalized these people, and you jumped in at the end and pulled some guy's eye out?
  43.
  44. Dave: (Laughs)
  45.
  46. Bryan: This is the wrestling business and that story, you know how that story would have eventually ended up: ''Dave Meltzer beat up 10 Hells Angels, and pulled guy's eye out'' and you would have a reputation, you know what I mean?
