Q: What was that? (Flying fat purple cat)

A: Power Formation Flying

If you hold onto the action button (B on gamecube) and attempt to do a triangle dive, it will be cancelled immediately. If you gravity is ever shifted (generally from a loop, rail, or incline), the game will eventually normalize it if it is too far off (anything between almost completely horizontal and further up). During a shift in gravity, if you belly flop as Big or ground pound as Vector you can retain the shifted gravity for a short period of time. In addition to that, you can perform the immediate triangle dive cancel after the belly flop/ground pound and your angled gravity will stay the same. This will allow you to perform another belly flop/ground pound and repeat the process as long as you like.

Q: What was that? (Robot Carnival and Robot Storm Cutscene)

A: There is a frame during the cutscene where you can do an action and that fucks up the cutscenes.
