The screen of his computer glows softly with a white light, showing nothing, as Dmitriy awaits everyone, sitting in his chair. Enjoying last minutes of calmness probably. The door to his room is open.

[2011-02-10 19::47:14] Doink: The Testing Grounds are illuminated by massive floodlights situated on poles high on the edges of the natural bowl the Grounds are situated in, painting the night in bright, garish shades of not-daylight. The moon is high and full in the sky, lending a silvery cast to grounds outside.

[2011-02-10 19::47:35] Doink: The Evangelions have been placed in a rough semi-circle around the flattened bottom of this valley, plugged in and ready—with the exception of Unit 01, which stands unconnected—facing inward, towards the center of the space. Here, a massive cage has been erected, within which is held a tall, white, humanoid figure—Evangelion Unit 06.
  102. [2011-02-10 19::47:59] Doink: Unit 06 appears similar to Unit 05—unsurprising, seeing as 05 was the prototype model—with some structural changes. The docks on its shoulders are smaller and less noticeable, and its head armor is of slightly different design, a strange, angular sort of shape with small eye holes that are currently dark. Its armor is plain, pale white, with black highlights, and “06” is emblazoned on its shoulders—and, in smaller type underneath, the designation “MP01.”

[2011-02-10 19::48:20] Doink: Nearby, a portable base-station has been pulled into place—a large trailer, unfolded into a quite sophisticated laboratory and control room, wires trailing out in thick bundles leading up into the cage and into Unit 06. It is in here that Dmitiry has been taken, to meet up with the man in charge of this test, Dr. Al-Misiri.
  104. [2011-02-10 19::49:33] Doink: "Good evening, Dmitriy—or, I guess it's Good Morning, now," he says, gesturing you inside. The inside of the trailer is packed with computing equipment, holographic displays, and monitors, as well as bustling technicians all in white Science uniforms.
  105. [2011-02-10 19::51:14] Dmitriy_Platonov: "Good time of a day, Doctor." - Dmitriy smiles a little and hesitates for a while, looking for a seat. He more or less keeps silence, not wanting to disturb the great work of all those men.
  106. [2011-02-10 19::52:55] Doink: There's no available seating. The Doctor leads you to a more open area near what you guess is the rear of the trailer. Here, a large projection hangs in the middle of the space, showing a small-scale version of the field outside.
  107. [2011-02-10 19::53:56] Doink: Dr Al-Misiri: "We'll observe from here." He smiles. "With any luck, that's all we'll be doing. This should be an easy test—we haven't had any problems with 06 so far."
  108. [2011-02-10 19::55:06] Dmitriy_Platonov: then finds a free corner where to stand. "I hope it will be so. You've did a great work, and 01 seems to be working fine..."
  109. [2011-02-10 19::55:17] Henri_DEllaine: nervousness still creaks through Henri's voice. "How are things looking up there? Anything we should be concerned about?"
  110. [2011-02-10 19::55:30] Ruru_Fields: is just about as happy as a hog in a turnip patch, if that turnip patch was a giant robot named Kagemaru! She glees and squirms in her seat, pleased. Leaning back and breathing LCL deeply.
  111. [2011-02-10 19::56:15] Dmitriy_Platonov: hears this through intercom. "Henri, negative. All pilots, please wait patiently, there's nothing to do now. I will tell you immediately in case anything happen."
  112. [2011-02-10 19::56:22] Kazimir_Prochazka: is still getting a feel for his new rifle, and turning it over in his hands making sure the dual-weapons program is running smoothly...unfortunately there's still a great many hiccups in french.
  113. [2011-02-10 19::56:57] John_Kilanger: "/me is giving his new Chainsword a few swings, getting used to the weight and length of it. The weapon in very different from the spear he's so used to.

  118. [2011-02-10 19::58:36] Doink: A sound is heard outside—a black helicopter descends from the sky near the opposite edge of the Grounds, setting down in the grass in an area obscured from view by the spotlights overhead.
  119. [2011-02-10 19::59:09] Kazimir_Prochazka: "Wonder if that's our guest of honor."
  120. [2011-02-10 19::59:23] Henri_DEllaine: "You see that "MP" on there Kaz? I don't think they're testing out the reactor so much as a whole new platform."
  121. [2011-02-10 19::59:28] Doink: Dr. Al-Misiri nods. "That's our pilot. The techs will get her suited up and to the plug. It should only take a few minutes."
  122. [2011-02-10 19::59:46] Kazimir_Prochazka: ignores the science lead's voice.
  123. [2011-02-10 19::59:58] Kazimir_Prochazka: "I wonder why they arn't just upgrading."
  124. [2011-02-10 20::00:19] Dmitriy_Platonov: "Kazimir, precautions, precautions..." - Dmitriy turns to the Doctor. - "Will her plug be connected to the main comm channel?"
  125. [2011-02-10 20::00:41] Henri_DEllaine: attempts to try and catch a glance of Jeanne from his position.
  126. [2011-02-10 20::01:42] Doink: Dr. Al-Misiri: "Of course. In fact, the test plug has more monitoring systems than our ordinary plugs. We take every precaution."

[2011-02-10 20::01:57] Ruru_Fields: would complain about this being boring, but she's busy with the comms off talking to Kagemaru and telling him about all the things that happened to her at school as if they are of -grave importance- while ever now and then throwing in a 'not that you care, but keeping up my cover is important~'
  128. [2011-02-10 20::02:13] Doink: The helicopter takes back off into the sky, its job here completed.
  129. [2011-02-10 20::04:42] Doink: After a few minutes, there is new commotion near the test cage—a crane begins to lift an entry plug upwards towards the entry hatch.
  130. [2011-02-10 20::06:28] Doink: It lowers and locks into position. Dr. Al-Misiri gives a satisfied nod. "All set. Power up the plug."
  131. [2011-02-10 20::07:14] Dmitriy_Platonov: clutches his hands behind his back. It begins.
  132. [2011-02-10 20::07:42] Doink: A tech nods. "Plug powered. Preparing nerve linkages for initial synchronization."
