Clearly they need to find a faster way home, be it taking the bus or just a better route. Either way, they’re too tired to care at this point. St. Mary’s High school for Individual Tutelage is a year round school, and the eternal early autumn weather is something that
[21:17] <@Champion> supports such an idea.
[21:18] <@Champion> The warm sun bears down on the two boys, while a chilly breeze pushes against them. Outside their apartment building, Jack spots a few trace drops of blood, as well as a few shredded grey feathers. The cawing of a pigeon is heard nearby, but it sounds more like the dying cry of someone near death, than the normal New New York ambiance.
[21:18] <@Champion> Up the elevator, the two have returned home at last, their backpacks filled with homework and heavy books. Their sole consolation is that the loft has is a perfect seventy two degrees.
06[21:20] * Jack_Murdock heads up the spiral staircase to his room where he would change and drop off his bag
06[21:20] * Anto_Belac stumbles and falls face-first into the floor. "Augh."
[21:23] <Jack_Murdock> Once back inside the comfortable jumpsuit, he heads back down the stairs and starts to rummage through the fridge for something to drink, he still seems slightly cheesed about his new day at school
[21:23] <@Champion> In the background, music plays. Unlike normal though, the sounds are rather tame. Leon must be in, but something is different.
06[21:25] * Anto_Belac claws himself upright and tucks into his room, wherein he rummages around for his ratty old clothing. "So," he calls from behind the door, "So uh, school is always like that?"
08[21:25] * Leon_Raczkowski sits at the kitchen table, barely looking up from his laptop as the pilots arrive. A stack of envelopes and folders are open alongside it.
06[21:28] * Jack_Murdock grabs some kind of soda and sits down at the table, 'Why'd you send us to that place?'
[21:28] <Anto_Belac> "Because that was -- I can't think of a great word for it. Mortifyin'?"
08[21:29] * Leon_Raczkowski looks up at Jack with a very annoyed stare on his face.
06[21:30] * Jack_Murdock stares back
08[21:30] * Leon_Raczkowski points at a pile of papers, then another: "This is the UN bitching at me. This is New York bitching at me. This is the CIA and shit bitching at me."
08[21:31] <Leon_Raczkowski> "I do not want another pile labeled "Child Services" because I'm witholding children from schooling. We're already using you as child soldiers. So there. That's why."
08[21:31] * Leon_Raczkowski goes back to his work and sarcastically adds: "And maybe you'll find god. Or something."
06[21:32] * Anto_Belac stumbles out of his room as he yanks his last boot on. He steadies himself and slips the tooth in the pocket.
[21:32] <Anto_Belac> "So we have to go?"
08[21:32] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Every day. Unless there's an angel attack."
06[21:34] * Anto_Belac takes a seat next to Leon and peeks over the piles. His eyes gain their usual pleading look.
08[21:35] * Leon_Raczkowski continues working, but stops for a moment as he realizes theres still the sounds of a dying animal somewhere in the building.
08[21:35] <Leon_Raczkowski> "So you guys met Caesar?"
[21:35] <Jack_Murdock> "I don't see why we can't go to some other place, away from all those crappy teachers and kids." He then slams his soda can on the table, "Can you believe that one of those assholes had the nerve to say I have a german accent? Tch, it's crap!"
08[21:37] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Jack this is New York. I can walk down the street and hear a German accent, a British accent, straight Spanish, and see at least one transvestite just on the way to get a pack of cigarettes. Just let it go."
06[21:38] * Jack_Murdock leans back in his chair and crosses his arms, taking a small pause before asking, 'Who the hell is Caesar?'
[21:39] <@Champion> As if to answer him, a large lizard enters the apartment, carrying a bloody, feathered carcass in its mouth.
[21:40] <Anto_Belac> "I just -- I -- it was -- they didn't like me. Or I guess one of the girls liked me but they all stared at me so weird."
08[21:40] * Leon_Raczkowski shrugs in his direction and remarks: "That's Caesar. I'm surprised you didn't notice the screaming."
08[21:40] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Don't drip that thing on the carpet man.
06[21:41] * Anto_Belac glances at Caesar and rockets some five feet in the air, raising his arms defensively. "Shhhhhhiiiiit what is that?!"
06[21:42] * Jack_Murdock stares at the lizard
08[21:42] <Leon_Raczkowski> "An iguana."
[21:42] <@Champion> Caesar turns his head to look at Leon, giving the man a glare, before eventually nodding. With astonishing speed, he sprints towards the tree, and climbs it with ease. Taking refuge in the upper branches, the men lose sight of the lizard, but everyonce in a while a couple feathers drift down to the first level of the loft.
08[21:43] <Leon_Raczkowski> "A messy iguana, from time to time."
[21:44] <Anto_Belac> "A-uh," Anto seats himself and shudders. "An iguana?"
08[21:44] * Leon_Raczkowski gives up trying to do work and leans back to talk to the two pilots:
08[21:45] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Iguana. Reptile. Sometimes aquatic. Omnivores."
[21:46] <Anto_Belac> "Like a Serpent?"
08[21:47] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Yeah, only with legs."
08[21:47] <Leon_Raczkowski> "...you really never did get off the boat much did you. What was that about girls though? Your first day and suddenly you're the mysterious exchange student nabbing women left and right?"
[21:48] <Jack_Murdock> "No, just being preyed on by some skank that knows the Clarke girl."
06[21:48] * Jack_Murdock flares his nostrils a bit
[21:49] <Anto_Belac> "Oh. Um, n-no. It was a girl named Alice a-and I got this weird sensation -- not-not down there, just in general, as if she was trying to seduce me."
08[21:50] * Leon_Raczkowski stares at the two dumbfounded.
08[21:50] <Leon_Raczkowski> "My god I should have the lizard just kill you now. Out of mercy."
08[21:51] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Anto: That's called flirting. Jack: You're young and soon you will grow old and find that you have to buy women two drinks before you can even associate with them. You two need to seize your youth. Or something."
[21:52] <Anto_Belac> "But my dad said when he did that he got me."
[21:53] <Jack_Murdock> "Yeah, no. All the chicks at that school are messed up, except for a few maybe."
08[21:53] * Leon_Raczkowski drops his head into his hands and begins mumbling to himself: "My god and this is a Catholic school too...he's going to come back one day with three girls teen preggers..."
08[21:55] <Leon_Raczkowski> "This is making me physically ill. New subject other than your terrible ineptitude with women. Classes? Teachers? You guys see Tania?"

[21:55] <Jack_Murdock> "Probably not as much as the men's lacrosse team does, but we did see her a bit."

08[21:59] * Leon_Raczkowski looks at Jack after he speaks and lets out a short whistle and a point before speaking with Anto again: "Probably just because she didn't want you guys to talk NERV stuff there. Or maybe she wants to keep her life off base as seperate from everything else. Regardless...don't take it personal?"
[21:59] <@Champion> From the railing a above, a cd case drops on Jack's head. He is far from alone though, as a piece of plastic also drops on Anto's. Luckinly for the sea urchin, what drops on him is a lot less painful.
06[21:59] * Anto_Belac slides the chair backward and jerks his arms upward. "Warghblre."
[22:00] <Jack_Murdock> "What the hell!" he shouts as he grabs the top of his head
08[22:00] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Jack, quit being an ass to your team-mates. I'm not sure why he hit you too Anto. Hazing probably."
[22:00] <Jack_Murdock> "I'll be an ass to whoever I want!"
08[22:01] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Fine, see how far that gets you. But if you continue being an ass to me you'll be sleeping in the alley tonight."
06[22:03] * Anto_Belac flails his arms a bit. "What the hell kind of Serpent what I don't even how--"
08[22:04] * Leon_Raczkowski goes back to typing out reports on his laptop, oblivious to whatever else Caesar feels like doing to torment the new kids in his lair.
[22:04] <@Champion> The small plastic square makes it to the floor, a distinct display of colors. Leon instantly recognizes it as one of his condoms.
08[22:07] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Oh god dammit."
06[22:07] * Anto_Belac blinks. "What?"
08[22:08] * Leon_Raczkowski refuses to comment further."
06[22:10] * Anto_Belac picks the plastic thing off of the floor. He raises it just over the table. "Wha's this?"
[22:12] <Jack_Murdock> "I see. Is that why you don't want us around during the day?"
06[22:15] * Anto_Belac twists his face and lets out a distraught noise. "What is it?"
08[22:15] <Leon_Raczkowski> "If I had any time to actually pick up women you'd hear about it."

[22:27] <Jack_Murdock> The terrible attempts at drumming quickly stop from inside Jack's room and the door swings open. Jack then leans over the rail, 'Try it. I dare you.'
08[22:31] * Leon_Raczkowski grabs his coffee mug and hurls it up with frightening speed at Jack's voice.
06[22:31] * Jack_Murdock quickly moves to the side as the mug goes hurling by
08[22:32] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Jack you will do best to SHUT YOUR MOUTH before I close it for you. With a staplegun."
08[22:32] <Leon_Raczkowski> "And you. Anto. Fuck off."
[22:32] <@Champion> As the two bicker, the ding rings from the elevator, indicating someone has arrived. No one's expected, but in Leon's line of work it's far from unusual.
08[22:32] * Leon_Raczkowski sits back down at his table and begins working again, typing at a frantic pace to distract himself.
[22:33] <Anto_Belac> "I d-don't know what I did," he sniffs as he slumps toward his open room.
06[22:34] * Jack_Murdock just stares for a few seconds with a usual pissed off look on his face before returning to his room, this time leaving the door open as he works on his homework

06[22:35] * Tania_Clarke cautiously walks into the flat.

08[22:36] * Leon_Raczkowski grunts, affirming Tania's presence.
[22:38] <Tania_Clarke> "C-captain." After glancing about, she approaches him.
[22:38] <Anto_Belac> "Hi," he sniffs as he slides into his room.
08[22:39] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Yes."
06[22:41] * Tania_Clarke glances at Anto before turning back to Leon. She looks rather unsettled.
[22:42] <Tania_Clarke> "Sir, I was t- ordered to bring this."
06[22:42] * Tania_Clarke produces a small document and a pair of envelopes.
08[22:44] * Leon_Raczkowski takes them from Tania and looks them over.
[22:46] <Tania_Clarke> "It's IDs for the pilots and a... uh, Price of Living raise."
[22:46] <@Champion> The documents detail a cost of living raise, to help pay for Anto and Jack's living expenses. The increased pay is rather large, likely more than either would require. Inside the envelopes, are a set of ids for each boy; a Nerv access card for each, as well regular ids.
[22:47] <Tania_Clarke> "The Sub-Commander didn't... deem it proper for the pilots to beg for food at sch-"
[22:47] <Tania_Clarke> Tania's eyes lock on the table.
08[22:48] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Yeah. I'll set up a bank account or something for them."
08[22:48] * Leon_Raczkowski sets aside the payraise letter, some of his anger leaving his face but still otherwise sour. He'll be happier about it later.
08[22:49] <Leon_Raczkowski> "Anto. Jack. IDs."
[22:51] <Jack_Murdock> "I'll get it later." He shouts back
[22:52] <Anto_Belac> Some muted cry issues from Anto's room.
08[22:54] <Leon_Raczkowski> "...Well then."
[22:56] <Tania_Clarke> "I- um... I suppose my m-mission is finished," she says while continuing to look at the object on the table. She opens her mouth as if to say something else, then closes it.
08[22:56] * Leon_Raczkowski peeks up. "What?"
06[22:59] * Tania_Clarke turns to look at Leon, her face showing hesitation.
[23:00] <Tania_Clarke> "Is- is that a condom?" She asks, pointing at the object.

[23:12] <@Champion> Down the stairwars, Caesar slides himself down to the first floor. His forked tongue slips in and out, tasting the air, before making his way over to Tania. Rolling on his back, it swiftly becomes obvious he wishes for his stomach to be rubbed.

06[23:15] * Tania_Clarke glances at Leon, some trepidation aparent.
06[23:15] * Tania_Clarke slowly kneels, reaches out, and begins gently rubbing the lizard's stomach, a faint smile on her face.

[23:17] <@Champion> Inexplicably, the iguana begins to purr, despite any reasoning or basic laws of biology. The apartment is filled with the sound of a content Caesar, as biologists the world over weep for their dead science. All is lost.
06[23:19] * Tania_Clarke smiles fully, her pale cheeks acquiring a rosy tint.
08[23:19] * Leon_Raczkowski peeks over his laptop and shrugs at the lizard's reaction. Caesar is a playboy and he knows it.
06[23:22] * Anto_Belac quietly slides out of his room, this time without his ratty jacket or scuffed boots. He wipes his eyes with one hand, clutches the tooth with the other.
[23:24] <Anto_Belac> He cautiously takes a seat next to Leon, eyes cast downward.

08[23:25] * Leon_Raczkowski takes the ID card, holding it up for a moment before setting it down on the table in front of Anto.

[23:26] <Anto_Belac> "Thank you." He pockets the card and sniffs.
[23:28] <Anto_Belac> "I'm sorry for my outburst earlier," he almost whispers. "I am in no place to question what you do."
06[23:29] * Tania_Clarke gets lost in her own little world, where there's only room for her and Caesar.
08[23:30] <Leon_Raczkowski> "You need to shape up. I'm going to censor myself because the Vice-Commander's daughter is here, but there's shit we need to talk about. Same with Jack."
[23:31] <Anto_Belac> "I'll do whatever you say," he mutters as he turns the tooth over a few times in his hand.
08[23:32] <Leon_Raczkowski> "You better quit being so submissive. That'll get you killed in combat."
[23:33] <@Champion> Evantually, Caesar is pleased enough that he rolls over and goes to climb his tree. Tania is left with nothing but her memories, and hope for his swift return.

08[23:36] * Leon_Raczkowski closes his laptop, seemingly done with working on stuff for today. He then hears a slight drip coming from the broken coffee mug.
[23:36] <Tania_Clarke> Suddenly aware of where she is, she immediately turns towards the two other people in the room.
08[23:36] * Leon_Raczkowski takes Jack's ID and goes upstairs to collect the mug.

08[23:37] * Leon_Raczkowski opens Jack's door and tosses the ID into the room, closing it behind him, collects the mug, and goes back downstairs to throw it in the trashbin.

[23:37] <Tania_Clarke> "Huh? Hm..."

06[23:38] * Jack_Murdock picks it up and begins to look it over front to back before putting it on his night stand

06[23:47] * Anto_Belac makes his amazement plain as he drivels on about things other people already knew. "And the school has a bunch of different kinds of food and the air conditioning always works and there are big plants everywhere and I met this girl with a huge ches--"
