EXT. SUBURB - DAY


            FADE IN:

1A - BIRD'S EYE VIEW - Sunny, small, suburb, birds fly around, people walk by.

1B - DOLLY - Zoom in on a house, through the window, to HANSEL, a 15 year old boy, with LIGHT BROWN hair, HAZEL eyes, an AVERAGE build, and TIRED eyes. He's in the zone right now, watching an anime on the TV in front of him.

                MALE VOICE O.S
        (shouting evilly)
    How did you find my secret evil lair?!

                FEMALE VOICE O.S
    With the power of friendship! Something you wouldn't understand, isn't that right, Park Rangers?

                ALL PARK RANGERS O.S
    Yeah!

                HANSEL
        (over anime audio)
    I've seen this show too many times. The characters are flat, the dialogue is cheesy... How many times are they going to re-use the same fighting animation anyway?

                FEMALE VOICE O.S
    Now it's time for us to defeat you, villain! You will learn the true power of our teamwork only true friends with tru-

1C - Audio stops, VHS spews film everywhere and the picuture on screen freezes before going black. HANSEL sighs and hangs his head in defeat.

                HANSEL
    Not again...
INT. MAIN ROOM - CON'T

HANSEL's MOM is cleaning dishes downstairs, humming happily, she is a YOUNG, THICK, woman, with BROWN hair and GREEN eyes. The phone rings, and she puts down a plate and soapy rag to answer the phone.

                MOM
    Hello, this is Hansel's mom speaking.
JUnICHI
        (casually)
    Oka-san! Is Hansel-kun home?

                MOM
        (happily)
Junichi-kun! Just a moment please.
INT. HANSEL'S ROOM - CON'T

3A - HANSEL, still looking defeated.

                MOM O.S
    Hansel! Junichi is on the phone!

                HANSEL
        (not moving)
    Coming!

3B - HANSEL gets up and walks out of his room

INT. MAIN ROOM - CON'T

MOM is talking, laughing, with JUNICHI on the phone, HANSEL arrives and takes phone from MOM, she pets PENNY, a cute, but large DOG, as she goes back to finish the dishes.

                HANSEL
        (irritated)
    Yeah?
INT. VIDEO STORE - CON'T

JUNICHI, a TALL, WHITE haired and BLUE eyed man in his early TWENTIES, stands behind the counter in a video store. He his wearing an APPRON and holding a GIRLY magazine. Small children can be seen messing with DVDs behind him.

                JUNICHI
    Oi! Hansel! I got something you're gonna love. Come down to the store will you?

                HANSEL O.S
    Now? I need to fix my CHS player - It ate another copy of Park Rangers right as it was getting to the goo-

                JUNICHI
        (interupting, yelling at kids)
    HEY! YOU PICK THAT UP RIGHT NOW!
INT. MAIN ROOM - CON'T

6A - HANSEL is wide eyed at the shouting from JUNICHI.

                JUNICHI O.S
    Ah... sorry about that, but yeah... forget that. You're gonna love this. Get over here, I'll be waiting.

6B - HANSEL hangs the phone back on the wall, SIGHS

                HANSEL
        (while heading towards door)
    Guess I'm going to go down to the store. Junichi has something to show me.

                MOM
        (smiling)
    Oh? Well have a safe trip. We're having pork tonight, so don't be gone too long.

                HANSEL
        (putting on shoes and heading out door)
    O.K.
EXT. HOUSE - CON'T

HANSEL holds a WALKMAN and hits play, music starts and he walks down sidewalk.

EXT. VIDEO STORE - LATER

8A - HANSEL strolls up to shop, two KIDS run out of store as JUNICHI yells at them, music from the WALKMAN can still be heard faintly

                JUNICHI
        (yelling angrily)
    Yeah that's right! Don't you come back or I'll have to get serious next time!

8B - HANSEL, STUNNED, hits stop on his walkman, puts headphones around neck

                HANSEL
    So uh... you had something to show me?

                JUNICHI
        (just now realizing hansel is there)
    Oh! Hansel! Yeah, come in come in.

8C - JUNICHI leads HANSEL into the store

INT. VIDEO STORE - CON'T

9A - JUNICHI hops over store counter, pulls out a dusty box and plops it on the counter, JUNICHI puts his hands on his sides proudly, HANSEL looks perplexed

                HANSEL
        (confused)
    Err.. what is it?

9B - JUNICHI takes out a flyer with an AD on it, placing it on the counter, CU of AD

                JUNICHI V.O
        (proudly)
    I won it in a contest. There was an ad and all I had to do was call in and answer some question about that Park Rangers show you told me about. I didn't think it'd actually show, but hey, here it is!

                HANSEL
        (still confused)
    But... uh... what is 'it'?
                JUNICHI
        (opening box)
    Oh! Well!

9C - JUNICHI pulls out a CVD player and places it next to the box, HANSEL inspects it closely, surprised

                HANSEL
    Woah! A CVD player? We don't even have any in the shop yet.

                JUNICHI
        (proudly, still)
    Yup! I think it's the only one in town actually, nobody carries them just yet. and wait! There's more.

                JUNICHI
        (taking sailor sun DVD from behind the counter)
    I got this for you too, for letting me know about the show in the first place.

                HANSEL
        (bug eyed, eyeing junichi and the CVD player)
Wait, for me? You're giving me Sailor Sun? Why?
                JUNICHI
        (patting hansels head with a large grin)
    I wouldn't have even known about the show to begin with if it weren't for you. So, you can have it. You'd get more use out of it than me anyway.

                HANSEL
        (fixes hair, blushing)
    Th-thank you...

                JUNICHI
        (nods and looks behing hansel at videos on the floor)
    Now if you want to thank me, let's get to work. Those little shits were at it again. You ready?

                HANSEL
        (turns head to see mess then back to junichi, smilling, happy to help)
    Alright!
EXT. VIDEO STORE - CON'T

Looking into store through window, HANSEL and JUNICHI can be seen cleaning up and talking casually, random people walk by

INT. HANSEL'S ROOM - LATER

HANSEL moves aside his broken VHS player and starts setting up the CVD player, the Sailor Sun DVD is beside him, he goes to plug in a cord when he is interupted.

                MOM
    Dinner's ready!

                HANSEL
        (puts down cord, not yet plugged in)
    Coming!
INT. MAIN ROOM, TABLE - CON'T

12A - HANSEL sits down at a small table with two chairs, petting PENNY as she walks by, MOM brings out food and sits down.

                BOTH
    Itadakimasu.

                MOM
        (begining to eat)
    So, what did Junichi want today?

                HANSEL
        (tossing small bit of meat to Penny)
    He won a contest, actually.

12B - PENNY walks away from table, up the stairs, HANSEL and MOM can still be heard.

                MOM
        (faint)
    Really? That's so exciting!

                HANSEL
        (fading out)
    Yeah. It was a new CVD player. He actually...
INT. HANSEL'S ROOM - CON'T

PENNY walks into HANSELs room with meat in her mouth, settling on HANSELs bed and starting to eat. Muffled conversation between HANSEL and MOM is heard as a faint glow comes from where the CVD player is, PENNY looks up and barks

INT. MAIN ROOM, TABLE - CON'T

14A - HANSEL and MOM pause for a second at the bark, almost finished eating, MOM continues conversation

                MOM
    Oh! Reina stopped by earlier. I told her you'd be back soon but I think she had to go somewhere.

                HANSEL
        (absent-mindedly)
    I see.

                MOM
    You used to be such good friends. What ever happened to the two of you?

                HANSEL
        (shrugging shoulders)
    People just grow apart I guess.

14B - HANSEL finishes plate, MOM looks saddended at hansels words, HANSEL gets up with his plate and glass of soda.

INT. STAIRS.HALLWAY - MINUTE LATER

15A - HANSEL walks up the stairs

                HANSEL
    Thank you for dinner!

15B - As HANSEL walks down hallway to his room, PENNY runs by scared, HANSEL is confused and stands at his room's doorway for a second before turning on the lights and seeing nothing wrong

                HANSEL
    ...huh...

15C - HANSEL notices the CVD player and Sailor Sun DVD and goes to finish setting it up

INT. HANSEL'S ROOM - LATER

16A - HANSEL is staring at his TV in a dark room, only lit by the TV screen, Sailor Sun begins to play before freezing, HANSEL is confused and hits the play button on the remote a few times before he notices purple sparks flying from the CVD player. A purple glow fills the room as he frantically tries to find out what is wrong, the light cuts out and he hears a thud behind him

                HANSEL
    Huh?

16B - After a few second the lights in his room come on, HANSEL is focused on the CVD player, not noticing the open wardrobe and passed out fox girl on the floor in front of it. She is SKINNY, but well MUSCLED, with RED hair and wearing a REVEALING outfit

16C - HANSEL sighs, unsure of how to fix it, he gets up to walk away before his foot accidently hits a boob of the fox girl on the floor, he is stunned, silent in suprise, he awkwardly steps around her towards the door, he opens and closes it quietly

INT. MAIN ROOM - CON'T

17A - HANSELs MOM is sitting at the table where they ate, trying to complete a JIGSAW PUZZLE, HANSEL walks up next to her

                HANSEL
        (blushing slightly)
    Mom, there's an animal girl in my room. I need you to handle it.

                MOM
        (thinking he is joking)
    Not right now honey I'm in the middle of this. I'm almost done actually, but this one piece here... there it is!

17B - HANSEL's MOM picks up a piece and puts it in place, HANSEL hangs his head sadly and turns to go back to his room

INT. HANSEL'S ROOM - CON'T

18A - HANSEL enters the room CAUTIOUSLY, looking at the fox girl out cold on the ground, he stands there SCRATCHING his head as she slowly wakes up, as soon as she does, she backs up in a feral position before tackling him, they tussle on the ground next to HANSELs desk where a glass of SODA sits, they bump into the desk and the glass falls on the fox girl's head, some getting in her mouth

18B - HANSEL is covering his face with his hands, shaking, he removes his hands as the attacks stop to see the fox girl all chilled out, eyeing him,

                COCA
    I like it.

18C - As soon as COCA speaks, HANSELs MOM bursts into the room, freaked out by all the noise, only suprised to see COCA on top of HANSEL

                MOM
    Oh! Hansel, I didn't know you had company over...

18D - COCA turns to face HANSELs MOM, HANSEL is completely RED in the face,

                HANSEL
    M-mom no u-

                COCA
        (interupting)
    Can I have some more?

                MOM
        (confused)
    More?
18E - COCA points to herself, sticky from the SODA,
                MOM
        (realizing coca is covered in soda)
    Oh, you're a mess! Let's get you cleaned up.

18F - COCA nods and gets off HANSEL, following HANSELs MOM out the door, HANSEL is stunned, he gets up and stands in his room idly, unsure of what exactly happened, he then notices the CVD player spark to life, the TV resumes the Sailor Sun episode.
HANSEL stands there, covered in soda, the glass once holding it on the ground, watching the sailor sun episode play out
                HANSEL
    ...what...?
