  1. Hi everyone.
  2.
  3. Many users have asked us, "Is PlatinumQuest EASY or HARD?"
  4. Well today, we will be answering that question.
  5. But before that, we want to show you some of the new things that PlatinumQuest now has.
  6. So without further ado, let's get right to it.
  7.
  8. PlatinumQuest uses a new level select for both online and offline menus.
  9. The new level select uses a new camera path system which allows the level designer to show off the level and for the player to see more of the level before actually playing it.
  10. Among the many advantages of this new level select menu gives us is the ability to show all the levels in a certain category.
  11. No longer will you have to go one-by-one -- for example Marble Blast Gold's Advanced levels -- to get to Pathways. You can simply scroll up and down, or use the mouse to scroll there. For example if we want Pathways, we can now simply press it's level screenshot, and it will load the level.
  12. And next, by pressing Play, you'll be instantly thrown right into it, without any further loading.
  13.
  14. The redesigned Extras menu allows you to see different options available in Marble Blast Platinum and PlatinumQuest, including to be able to choose a marble among the different categories that are now available.
  15. Once you've chosen your marble, or... you don't want to do anything else, all you have to do is press the Select & Close Menu button.
  16.
  17. While playing PlatinumQuest, you'll also be seeing a Hints button.
  18. This Hints button is available to you and is capable of giving you additional information and help about the level.
  19. However, sometimes it's just fun facts and history about the level and doesn't offer any actual help.
  20. In Marble Blast Gold, Platinum, and Ultra, there are no hints for any levels.
  21. In addition, if you beat the Platinum Time on any level, you'll be able to see a hint [for] how to get the Ultimate Time for that level.
  22.
  23. Instead of just featuring the new Tutorial difficulty, PlatinumQuest also goes and shows a whole new Bonus category.
  24. This Bonus category is composed of levels that are more off-beat, and some of them can be considered Director's Cut like in Marble Blast Platinum, or just previous versions of levels that weren't up to par.
  25. These are not playable normally, but can be unlocked using the new unlocking system.
  26. This unlock system, which is also present in some levels of the main game, is based on the player completing various tasks and.. challenges.
  27. They are also progressive in a way so should you be able to beat these challenges, you'll be able to progress ahead and play said levels.
  28.
  29. So is PlatinumQuest EASY or HARD? Well, after Marble Blast Platinum was released, many users gave us some really good feedback about it.
  30. They thought the levels were great, y'know? They didn't think it was too hard, or they didn't think it was too challenging.
  31. They thought it was great -- even the Expert levels were well recieved!
  32. Nobody really hated Nukesweeper Revisited as they do now.
  33. Let's be honest, I made it... it is bad.
  34.
  35. So, when PlatinumQuest was started, there was actually a shift in the community towards fun levels, ones that were also replayable and short. And of course, we wanted that more to be -- more to be -- more that the community wanted. (matan pls)
  36. So, we went ahead and fit ourselves.
  37. Marble Blast Platinum is hard. PlatinumQuest? Easier. Harder than Gold, though. But we wanted it to be mid-expert difficulty.
  38.
  39. Have we reached that goal...?
  40. Well, how about YOU tell us. There's going to be a PlaitnumQuest Demo!
  41. It's going to be for only single player, and is going to feature some levels from PlatinumQuest... and it releases... late August.
  42. And it's going to feature this new awesome new Level Select screen.
  43.
  44. So, we'll see you then.
