* Shula later sits down a bit exhausted in the living room
<Jane> "What happened there, Shula?"
<Shula> "Well, Sam,, I showed him vision and he .. Sammed further into it "
<Jane> Jane snorts. "Sammed. That's our boy..."
<Shula> "he saw more, what they did back then.."
<Jane> "You're...talking about 'Irem', yes?"
<Shula> "No yes.. its Malak ones"
<Jane> "And what did... well, I guess we'll have to wait on him to wake up for his part, but what did you pick up on your trip?"
<Shula> "Well"
* Shula starts slowly to speak of what she saw in her vision
<Jane> Jane shakes her head. "I... God, I really wish we could talk to her again. We can't let C-command get their hands on h-her."
<Shula> "Yes but.."
<Jane> "But?"
<Shula> I prefer us to be alive
<Jane> Jane snorts. "Well, yes. I /still/ want to see us all get our happy ending, even if it's not going to be quite what I'd once hoped."
<Shula> "We can work for luck, for beauty and for happiness"
<Jane> "All of us.." Jane says softly. "I don't know, Shula. I have this terrible feeling that something's just waiting to drop on us like... like a ton of fish falling out of the sky, or something else as strange."
<Shula> "Jane.. it.. "
* Shula hugs her. " You do know that even with all this doom it is much better then where I was half a year ago?"
<Jane> "Well, yes..." Jane admits. "And I've never been so happy as I am each night in Irune's arms... but... we know so much more about what threatens our world, too.
<Jane> "
<Shula> "Why care for the world if the people that I care for are safe?"
<Jane> "We have to live here." Jane points out. "And there are people throwing nukes, N2 mines, and bioweapons around. We can't just close our eyes and hope the sun rises tomorrow."
<shula> "And doing the best for the world if it means that no one is left alive that I want to enjoy the world with is also bad"
<Jane> Jane nods. "We have to watch out for each other, yes... but we have to win." She sighs. "It all seemed so simple 8 months ago... Just be an Eva Pilot. No conspiracies, no Worm, no... Dharma. Just... fight Angels."
<Shula> "Djins"
* Shula says that with a sad unbelieving smile
<Jane> Jane nods. "It's just a name, yes. I don't believe they are 'messengers of God' any more than you do."
<Jane> "And now we know they're 'False Ones' anyhow."
<Shula> "I... yes.."
* Shula nods
<Jane> Jane pulls her into a hug. "We know uncomfortably more about greater beings than ourselves, yes. But we know just as well that for all they might even call themselves 'gods', they are nothing like what the Bible or Qu'ran or other holy texts speak of, Shula. They are /not/ the Almighty."
<shula> "I .. yes I know that, as I always say to the camel breasted one but.."
<shula> "The question of her and humanity, of .. the other humans that where not like us from dust, but from water and blood and .."
<Jane> "And who made them? Even if there was no literal Garden for mankind to be expelled from, the Creator is still the same. The One who made all. Beyond 'Adam', beyond '*Lilith'... nothing has changed there, Shula."
<shula> "I..yes it is still that.."
