Created by one Dr. R. Curien. A scientist talented in many fields with a focus in bioengineering, he was forced to turn his considerable abilities to Mech design since no one would fund his personal research as it was deemed too "dangerous" and "morally bankrupt" even though he insists it can produce incredibly effective medical techniques.

The Type 041 was created to harass attackers with hit and run attacks and to chase down fleeing harpies. While more expensive than a harpy, it is also more heavily armoured and its bat like wings propel it fast enough to outrun them in jet mode. It was armed with two sets of simple built in claws in order to save on cost and weight. While not very heavily armed and lacking in defensive options it is capable of attacking at high speeds and is rather simple to pilot. It was planed to control several drones but it was decided that it would increase the cost of an already fragile mech too high so the idea was abandoned.
